"Bring it on, Dexter the puppet.
I want to see your best shot. Show me the stuff you made off. You won't even dare do anything nasty to me." Elizabeth dared Dexter. She saw the movement of his punch preparing to land on her face, and she wasn't bothered. Nurse Elizabeth got so much closer to Dexter as though she wanted to spit on his face.
At that point, Olivia lost her temper and patience. She couldn't endure watching them hurl abusive words at each other. She was also worried about Elizabeth's safety.
From the way Olivia saw Dexter preparing his punch, it was only a matter of time before he smashed her head against the wall.
"Hello, Sir.
Please ignore anything she says to you. I am pretty sure she doesn't know what she's doing. This is a reputable hospital. I can assure you that we, the nurses, are the nicest people you would ever come across." Olivia pleaded on Elizabeth's behalf.
Despite the approach from Olivia wasn't bothered. It wasn't enough to change her mind.
Rather than thanking Olivia for coming through for her, Elizabeth transferred her aggression to Olivia as though she offended her. "Speak for yourself, you bitch. Who made you the judge over my affairs? My Father wouldn't even dare do half of what you just did now. By the way, what the heck are you doing here? I thought I asked you not to come over. We both had an agreement, and you were cool with it. Are you fucking snitching on me right now?"
"Shut the fuck up, Lizzy. Now I am convinced that you don't know what you talking about. You should be grateful I'm here to help out. Is this the mother fucking thanks I get? This man is going to hit you hard, and you won't do anything about it," Olivia warned Nurse Elizabeth in the presence of Dexter.
Dexter watched in admiration as Olivia handled the situation like a mature lady. He couldn't help but wonder why nurse Elizabeth decided to act otherwise.
"I should be grateful that you did, what? Stop trying to be nice to me because you aren't. Stay true to yourself. You mother fucking hypocrite. Last time I checked, I didn't recall seeking your help. Stay out of my business for good," Elizabeth, we needed Olivia. She was slowly diverting her attention away from Dexter, who happens to be the main victim.
"You have got to listen to your friend when she speaks. Pay more attention to her because she makes more sense. Unlike you. The only time you make sense is when you're mute. Just like what your colleague said, stay true to yourself." Dexter mocked Elizabeth to make Olivia appear as the better one.
The taunting from Dexter didn't sit too well with Elizabeth who wasted no time to lash back at Dexter. He held his shirt firmly and wanted to tear it apart.
"You could say that to my face without being ashamed? Coming from someone who's a nurse, I expected you to act wise. Are you aware that my Father is currently admitted to this hospital?" Dexter generated the awareness and hoped it would be enough to ward off Elizabeth.
Unfortunately for Dexter, the situation became worse the moment Elizabeth stepped on Dexter's toes without looking back. She pushed him to the wall and got on his last nerves when she said to him. "I still can't believe that you would still claim to be a Cooper. It's damn obvious that you don't care about him. You're just waiting for him to die so you could take over his billionaire empire,"
"Elizabeth, please stop what you are doing. Enough of the madness. It's no longer funny. That's not how to speak to people. Where are your manners?" Olivia cautioned Elizabeth like a big sister.
"You want to find out where my manners are at? They're in your damn head. What's wrong with you?" Elizabeth verbally attacked Olivia.
Dexter faced the wall, prepared his punch, and faced Elizabeth with fire in his eyes. The veins around his neck region are already popping out.
He was sweaty despite the air conditioner that was turned on.
With a calm voice, yet boiling rage, he dared Elizabeth. "Repeat the damn words you said, and you will be admitted to this hospital,"
Before Olivia could complete her utterances, she heard a thunderous noise. Everyone freaked out and thought the world was ending.
It was a punch from Dexter that landed on Elizabeth's face. The punch was so heavy that Elizabeth went blind for a couple of seconds.
She didn't look in a mirror but she was damn certain that the punch might have blessed her with a black eye.
The moment Elizabeth regained consciousness, she held on to Dexter's shirt without letting go.
Not just Nurse Elizabeth, but everyone at the reception who heard the thunderous punch rushed to the crime scene and surrounded Dexter, making it difficult for him to escape
Seeing the large number of people in his presence, Dexter freaked out completely. He could feel his soul running away from his body.
"I am sorry for what happened.
It wasn't my intention." Dexter apologized. He suddenly went from being wild to cold like a sheep.
"You sorry?
You will be more than sorry when you spend the rest of your life in jail for hitting a lady in such a manner," Olivia smirked.
Dexter was stunned as he widened his mouth astonishingly. "Even you? I thought you were on my side. What are you talking about now?"
"Really, Nigga?
I was on your side until you decided to demonstrate your powers by hitting a lady. You could have just walked away from the drama. Perhaps it would have saved you from the embarrassment you are experiencing now," Olivia retaliated and broke Dexter's heart. He never saw this coming. He thought she was gonna take his sides. It just dawned on Dexter that it's him against the world. He might as well need a miracle to come out of the mess in one piece.
"Am I interrupting anything interesting? This place looks quiet. Why do I have a feeling that you all suddenly stopped talking because I walked in? Are you all discussing me? I might just walk away if my presence is making you all uncomfortable." Kelly asked with seriousness. The sudden silence in the room worries him so much. He could have sworn that he heard some voices when he was still outside. "Kelly, please stop. Stop drawing unnecessary conclusions. It doesn't even make sense to me. This has nothing to do with you. Why do you think everything is always about you, huh? The least you could have done was to ask. This is not the way to go about this." George fumed at Kelly. Not even the news of Dexter's arrest made him react that way. He poured out his frustration at Kelly as he was the one who got Dexter arrested. "Okay. I guess it's not about me after all. At least, I know I am safe,' Kelly sighed.Another awkward glance from George fueled another suspicion."What? Stop starin
Slowly, Ciara walked to the door and opened it. She stood at the door entrance to ensure that Walters didn't force himself inside the house. "You look stunning tonight. What the heck am I saying? You always look stunning. But tonight, it's different." They were the first words of Walters, immediately he saw Ciara. He couldn't get his eyes off her as though that were the first time meeting each other. The plan was to flatter Ciara and make her fall for Walters again. Sadly, it wasn't working. Ciara already knew what his intentions were. "What do you want?" She shunned his flattering words and went straight to the point. She can't deny the fact that Walters himself looks good. Due to what's at stake, she couldn't admit it. "I just want us to talk. Can I at least come inside let's have a decent conversation?" Walters begged. He sounded sorrowful like the biblical prodigal son who showed up to his father's house after wasting his inheritance. "You want us to talk?" She giggled and
Peeping through the tiny hole from inside, Ciara spotted a familiar face at her doorstep, holding a flower bouquet. He was dressed in a dark suit as though he were heading for a dinner date. It was a face that brought back old memories. He was the last person Ciara expected to see at that crucial time. This was the moment Ciara wished it was Derek. She felt that his presence was more significant than the person outside. "I can't believe it's Walters that's standing outside my doorstep. He is even dressed in a suit. What exactly does he want from me? I thought I would never set my eyes on him ever again. Why didn't he reach out to me personally? For crying out loud, it's 8:20 PM. Is he that jobless?Doesn't he have important places to be at this time? Why come to my house? What if my Father was around?" Ciara lamented in a low tone. Too many mysteries surrounding the presence of Walters, her ex-boyfriend. They haven't spoken to each other since Walters called off their relationshi
"I said nasty things about you in your absence that shouldn't have been said. I allowed my emotions and anger to control me. Now I am regretting every one of my actions," Tony confessed, yet failed to hit the nail on the head. He got Lucas and everyone confused."I don't understand what you are talking about. You still haven't told me what I need to hear. Can you please go straight to the point? You are not even making sense right now," Lucas fumed. He pretends not to know what Tony says about him. He wanted Tony to admit it himself. "I kind of pulled out of the plan to prosecute Dexter in your absence. Not just pulling out, I also tried forcing everyone to make the same decision," Tony finally took the courage to speak up. It was the most difficult task of his life. He would have sworn that he was never going to say that. To everyone's surprise, Lucas didn't react to Tony's confession, nor did he confront Tony. Instead, Lucas laughed and shook his head in pity. Tony got more scar
"But why didn't she tell me before? What game is she trying to play with me? Why does it have to be now? No, I disagree. I need to unravel the real truth in this." Officer Lucas asked himself rhetorically as his voice echoed back to him. Plenty of unanswered questions roam inside his head with no one around to provide the answers. "Now I see what Nurse Elizabeth is trying to achieve with this. She wants to manipulate me with some fake pregnancy, isn't it? There's no way I am letting her get away with it. Time to show her that I am smarter than she can ever imagine," Officer Lucas thought to himself. He doesn't want to believe that everything happening is a coincidence already. Five years of relationship and it happened to be their first-ever fight. And it turned out to be worse. To think that Officer Lucas already making plans to propose marriage to Nurse Elizabeth. He already contacted the event planning for the engagement party. He intends to make it the most memorable night o
"Exactly what you heard, Romeo. This is crazy. It's against my belief. I can't imagine myself being a partaker of something that's against my faith," Tony confirmed his decision to back out. His lips weren't shaking either, and his legs were struggling to stand firm on the ground. He didn't stutter or mince words. It was as though he'd been waiting for this moment all his life to express his dissatisfaction. "Your beliefs?" Romeo giggled. He paced around the office and returned a few seconds later. "Please tell me this is a joke. It's too early to joke with a situation like this," Romeo doubted Tony. Despite the seriousness on Tony's face, Romeo still didn't think he meant every damn word he said. "I wouldn't utter a word to you anymore. I rather wait for the officer to show up. Perhaps, you are going to believe me when I say it to his face," Tony stated and stepped backwards. Those were the only words he uttered. "he's serious about it," Romeo muttered in disbelief.
