Cole

The man in front of me isn't all that big.

To be fair, he's a good head taller than I am, but he's fairly lean with a sexy build I can totally get into.

But overall, he isn't some massive hulk. The problem lies entirely with the way he carries himself.

Christian Thompson is what I would like to call a royal grump.

Everything about him screams, "I prefer not to be talked to, looked at, or absolutely disturbed in any way possible"

Coupled with the perpetual snarky frown on his face, it's easy to not want to be around the guy.

I can see why his teammates keep him at arms length.

I'm not sure I'll be brave enough to approach someone like him to make friends with if he was in my team.

The one person who doesn't think he's a bit stiff is probably one of the most fearless person's on earth.

And I stand by that statement.

Just staring at the guy, I'm not sure if I should just call it quites and run away, or try to talk to him.

The latter is probably the wiser option since I've

  • Sidelined Hearts : An M x M Original    CHAPTER FIFTY SIX: Cole Brackman

Ashford The walk back to the field is more or less shameful, and I'm not even sure I want to play in the second half anymore. So imagine my surprise when on my way to the toilet stall, I bump into Cole, matching angrily out of it. The cold look in his eyes makes me bristle immediately, but when he realizes that I'm the one in front of him, his eyes soften. My brows raise up more or less in surprise, because I've never seen Cole look as pissed as he looks now. Cole Brackman isn't an easy man to get on the wrong side off. Normally, he's one of the most easy going people I've ever met. Always ready to listen, and understand everyone, and it helps that he's relatively shy too. I've never seen someone get as red as my best buddy, Cole does when he's uncomfortable about something or feels nervous about a particular situation. When

Christian My stance remained rigid, and it takes everything I have in me not to punch this guy in the face. And it's not because he's spoken out of turn, or he's said the wrong thing to me, or even because he's told a lie. No. Absolutely not. It infuriates me more than anything because I know how true his words are. This is what I am. This random stranger from nowhere who I've never met before has a better grasp on what my reality is than I am. And I've been living the life for thirty three fucking tears. Over three decades spent living as a homophobic bully, while fighting against the one thing I am. Cole folds his hand over his chest, before he pins me with a dry look that betrays the anger shimmering in his eyes. "You know what? I don't even know why I'm so surprised by this. After everything

Christian The next thing that happens isn't something I expect. But to be fair, it's something that should have happened way sooner. Something I probably deserve too for being a homophobic little asshole to people who have more courage to be themselves—way more than I'll ever be. Cole punches me. It's not a viscous blow, or a cracking punch that has me dazed, but it's hard enough that my jaw hurts. No surprise there that the guy cent throw a punch properly. I would normally comment on that, say something asshole—y, just so he loses his shit again, but I don't. My eyes widen and meet his, which are furious and angry, and look like they might scratch at me if I say one wrong word. "You're a sick delusional bastard if you think you can say something like that to me and get away with it." His tone is blank and void, like

Christian I try to mask my surprise, I really do, and for various reasons too. For one, this Cole guy probably doesn't know that Ashford went around tell me what he was doing in the toilet stall. And second, I really did not have to know that information. Now I know Cole is gay too, and frankly it pisses me off. So this is the guy who had Ashford's supposedly "pretty cock" down his throat, in a toilet stall nonetheless. Yeah, pretty cock. Although I'll deny I'll been the first to understand if the guys cock is beautiful. Everything about him is. I despise it. A frown forms on my face when I think about how impatient they must have been not to be able to get a room or something. At a public bathroom has to be the height of indecency. I'm not surprised that the prissy little shit, Ashford did something like that, but this guy? He looks relatively normal. Of course he's pretty. Beautiful shiny hair, and those round eyes that look like they belong on fucking does.

Christian Fuck if I didn't call it first. I just knew it would be someone from that slimy bastard's team—and not just that, but someone he's actually sent after me. This Cole guy must have read the annoyance on my face pretty quickly, because he raises both hands up in defense. "Look, I don't want any trouble man. I just came to talk." Of course he did. I take a step closer to the guy, inching close enough that I'm all but in his space, and gleefully enjoying the way he moves backwards. Good. If he's here to threaten me or even blackmail me, then I won't let him go down without at least teaching him a hard lesson too. "Wha—what are you doing? Excuse m—" The words probably die in his throat, as I grab him by the shoulders and move his much smaller body into a toilet stall. He's not particularly a small man, but there's something loose and easy about his body. Like his size is probably due to working out real good, and gaining pure muscles instead of just fat. I
