Between Life and Death

Author: Stella YX
(Aria's POV)

The world around me was nothing but thick, silver-tinted fog. I couldn't feel my body anymore, just a strange weightlessness as I drifted through the mist. Was this death? Had my heart finally given out?

I felt oddly calm. The pain that had been my constant companion for so long was gone. No more burning in my chest, no more struggling for each breath. Just... peace.

Something pulled at me from behind—a distant voice calling my name.

"Aria! Aria, please!"

Sarah's voice. Desperate. Terrified.

I turned toward the sound, seeing nothing but swirling silver fog. Then I spotted her—Sarah, running toward me, her beta presence flickering with panic.

"Aria, don't go," she cried, reaching for me with outstretched hands. "Come back, I still have so much to say to you..."

I tried to answer, to tell her it was okay, that the pain was finally gone. But my wolf couldn't make a sound. My mouth moved, but silence was all that came out.

Sarah's face contorted with desperation. "Ple

  • The Alpha King Begged His Omega to Come Back   Silver's Truth

(Alexander's POV)The moonlight cast long shadows across the silver memorial grounds as I faced Derek Silverstone. His ice-blue eyes, usually so cold and controlled, were now filled with a raw anguish I'd never witnessed in him before. The revelation that I had never been intimate with Aria had clearly shaken him to his core."There's more you should know," I said, watching his reaction carefully. "I never formed a true mate bond with Aria."Derek's head jerked up, disbelief etched across his aristocratic features."What? But you were together for three years at the Windsor Pack Orphanage. She told me—""We were pack mates, yes," I interrupted, my golden eyes never leaving his. "I had every intention of claiming her properly once I built a pack territory worthy of her. I wanted to give her everything her omega wolf deserved."I laughed bitterly, the sound echoing across the empty memorial grounds."I was young and foolish. I thought we had time."Derek remained silent, his ceda

  • The Alpha King Begged His Omega to Come Back   A Silver Confession

(Alexander's POV)The silver memorial grounds were eerily quiet as I approached, carrying a bouquet of rare moonflowers that glowed with a subtle wolfsbane essence in the fading light. Their silvery luminescence reminded me of Aria's hair—the way it caught the moonlight when we were young wolves running through Windsor Pack territory.I stopped abruptly at the edge of the ceremonial clearing.Someone was already there.Derek Silverstone knelt before Aria's memorial tablet, his silver-blonde hair disheveled and his formal pack robes wrinkled as if he'd been wearing them for days without changing. Even from a distance, I could see the pallor of his skin, the dark circles under his ice-blue eyes. His overwhelming alpha presence, usually so carefully controlled, flickered with waves of profound grief. He didn't acknowledge me as I approached, his gaze fixed on Aria's engraved name on the silver tablet. I placed my moonflowers beside his own silver-infused offering—a small wreath of ra

  • The Alpha King Begged His Omega to Come Back   Silver's Return

(Alexander's POV)The seventh moon since Aria's Silver Return ritual cast a silvery glow across the Windsor Pack Territory as I returned. The familiar scents of the place where Aria and I had grown up together assaulted my senses, making my alpha wolf whimper with grief.I clutched the silver-sealed document pouch tightly against my chest, feeling the weight of its contents. The documents inside represented everything I owned - territories, businesses, silver coins - all of which meant nothing to me now without her.The walk to Sarah's apartment felt longer than it should have. Each step was heavy, laden with memories of a silver-haired omega with violet eyes that had once looked at me with such love. Now those eyes were closed forever, her wolf returned to the ancestral hunting grounds.I knocked on Sarah's door, steeling myself. When she opened it, the scent of food - rich, varied dishes - wafted out to greet me."Alexander," Sarah said, surprise evident in her voice. "I wasn't

  • The Alpha King Begged His Omega to Come Back   Bitter Revelations

(Sarah's POV)I jerked awake with a strangled cry, tears streaming down my face. My heart pounded painfully in my chest, and for a moment, I couldn't breathe through the crushing weight of grief.Aria. I'd been dreaming of Aria again. The dreams were both a blessing and a curse. In them, she was always vibrant and healthy, her silver hair shining in the ethereal light of what could only be the ancestral hunting grounds. In these dreams, her violet eyes sparkled with a joy I'd rarely seen in life, and her omega wolf presence was strong, no longer weakened by her heart condition. But waking meant losing her all over again.I curled into a ball on my bed, clutching Aria's pillow to my chest. It still carried the faintest trace of her scent—gentle like moonflowers, with that unique hint of silver that had always marked her as different from other omegas."It's not fair," I whispered into the empty room, my beta wolf whimpering in distress.Aria had never had a fair chance at life. A

  • The Alpha King Begged His Omega to Come Back   Silver Dreams

(Third person's POV)William Stone stood frozen in the sterile hallway of the pack medical center, his golden eyes narrowing at the figure approaching from the opposite direction. Samuel Gray, Derek Silverstone's ever-present beta assistant, walked with his characteristic measured steps, his expression shifting from neutral to guarded upon noticing William. The air between them instantly charged with hostility, the mingling scents of their respective packs creating an invisible boundary neither wished to cross."Stone," Samuel acknowledged coldly, his beta presence carefully controlled yet unmistakably hostile.William didn't bother responding. The brief flicker of goodwill he had felt toward Dr. Reed moments ago vanished completely, replaced by the familiar burning hatred he reserved for anything connected to the Silverstone Pack.As they drew closer to each other in the narrow corridor, William deliberately bumped his shoulder against Samuel's, the alpha power behind the gesture

  • The Alpha King Begged His Omega to Come Back   Silver Secrets

(Dr. Reed's POV)Pain was the first thing I registered as consciousness returned to me. My lip throbbed where Victoria Silverstone's enhanced pack guard had struck me with silver-enhanced dominance. The metallic taste of blood lingered in my mouth, and my throat felt like sandpaper."Water," I managed to murmur, my beta voice barely above a whisper.A hand appeared in my line of vision—long-fingered and broad, distinctly masculine—offering a wolfsbane-infused healing cup. I accepted it gratefully, not bothering to check who my benefactor was. The cool liquid soothed my parched throat, the wolfsbane essence already working to heal the internal silver damage. After quenching my thirst, I finally looked up to see who had helped me. My entire body tensed, my beta wolf whimpering in terror.William Stone. The Stone Pack heir lounged casually in the chair beside my healing bed, his golden eyes studying me with unmistakable amusement. His formal pack robes were immaculate as always, the
