Mark was stunned. He shared the same thoughts as his boss, then said, “There’s information suggesting that Levent has recently been involved in human organ trafficking.”

“Oh, really?” Regis raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued.

“Apparently, Altan Demir himself is handling the transactions, and because of this, he’s been clashing with Murat Demir. It seems Murat doesn’t approve of Altan engaging in such dealings,” Mark added.

Regis smirked cynically. He found Murat Demir’s anger justified, as Altan was straying far from the vision and mission Levent had upheld under the Demir family.

Levent had always focused on providing illegal services rather than dealing with tangible goods like Altan did now.

Regis was certain that Murat disliked Altan’s actions because Murat had always chosen to work behind the scenes. He could only imagine Murat’s frustration upon discovering Altan’s endeavors.

“Is the operation still ongoing?” Regis asked with keen interest.

“Don’t speak for everyone. This was all about you and your selfishness, Dad!” Cedric spat, his voice filled with rage.Alejandro had expected this. His son clearly still couldn’t accept the decision.“Cedric—”“Don’t act like I don’t know you did all of this for Regis Lorenzo and your precious little daughter,” Cedric cut in, voice dripping with sarcasm.Alejandro remained calm. He knew that no matter what he did, Cedric wouldn’t accept his decision. But he still wanted to try—he wanted to mend their broken bond.“Cedric, I regret what your mother did. Maybe you blame me for not stopping her when I had the chance. And if hating me for the rest of your life brings you peace, then so be it. I’ll carry that burden. But please don’t forget … you’re still my son.”Cedric laughed bitterly. He saw every word from his father as nothing more than guilt dressed up as concern.“You know what word I hate the most now?” he hissed.Alejandro said nothing. He could feel the fury radiating off his so

“Please ... wake up, Amora. I’m right here. I kept my promise—I came back quickly, didn’t I? So why are you still sleeping?” Regis whispered, his voice barely audible. He bit down hard on his lower lip, trying to keep any sound of crying from slipping out. Drawing a shaky breath, he lifted his gaze to the ceiling, trying to steady the storm of emotions brewing inside him.But then, he felt it. The slightest movement in Amora’s fingers. His eyes darted back to her face. But, her eyes were still shut, unmoving.“A-Amora? Can you hear me?” Regis asked, his voice cracking in panic. No response. Her eyelids didn’t even flutter. But then, he saw it.A single tear rolled down from the corner of her eye!Regis immediately slammed the emergency button beside her bed. “Doctor!” he shouted desperately. His yell echoed through the hall. Alejandro and the others rushed into the room.“What’s going on, Regis?” Alejandro asked, clearly alarmed.Regis turned to him. “Dad, just now … just now she move

Alejandro smiled at Hank’s worried expression. He took the cutlery his assistant had prepared and said, “But I’m still not giving up on my life. There are too many sins I need to atone for before I leave this world.”A sigh of relief escaped Hank’s lips. For a moment, he thought his boss had given up on life, but hearing those words made his heart ache.“I’m retiring from the mafia world, Hank,” Alejandro declared, making Hank flinch in surprise.“I’ve done too many terrible things. I dragged my wife, my children ... and the woman I love into the consequences of my selfishness. I don’t even know how I can ever make it right,” Alejandro muttered, staring down at the food container in his hands.“Sir, I can feel your burden. But I believe happiness can be simple. You just need to let go of the past and live today without worrying too much about tomorrow,” Hank replied, trying to comfort him.He didn’t really know what else to say. He wasn’t too familiar with his boss’s personal life, bu

The rhythmic beeping of a heart monitor filled the air inside the VIP hospital room. Amora lay unconscious on the hospital bed, her head wrapped in bandages. A mask covered her nose and mouth, oxygen being supplied through a tube connected to a tank.Sitting beside her, holding her hand tightly, was none other than her biological father, Alejandro Volker.Though Alejandro’s eyes looked drained and weary, he hadn’t taken them off Amora for a second. His hands stayed wrapped around hers, refusing to let go. He didn’t even flinch at the sound of the door opening—until footsteps approached.“Sir, I brought you some food and water,” said a young man softly. “You should eat something … help your body recover.”But Alejandro remained still. The young man sighed, frustrated, and spoke again. “Sir, if you keep going like this … I’m afraid your body won’t hold up—”“How’s Ray?” Alejandro cut in, brushing off the concern. “Is Hilde taking good care of him?”It was clear he didn’t want to hear an

“Yes! I’m the one who killed that woman!” Steffany screamed, unhinged. “I told Diego Lorenzo where to find you! I set the trap! I wanted you both dead!”Alejandro stood frozen in utter shock. He had spent years blaming Diego, only to now discover the real murderer of Patricia was none other than the woman who claimed to worship and love him—Steffany Maven.Alejandro’s jaw clenched tightly. Rage boiled inside his chest. Every fiber of his being wanted to condemn Steffany for murdering Patricia while she was pregnant. But then … seeing the strange calm in Steffany’s expression, Alejandro realized just how shattered her mind had become. All of this, he thought bitterly, had started because of him.Steffany no longer cared that all her secrets were out in the open. There was nothing left to protect. After Patricia’s death, she thought she would finally have Alejandro all to herself. But that dream had never come true.“Where is your heart, Steffany?” Alejandro growled. “Has it been comple

"I ...."Amora was still disoriented, struggling to make sense of her surroundings. Her vision was blurry, her head throbbed with pain, and her body felt too heavy to move. A wave of dizziness made everything worse. But faintly, she could sense someone beside her. And then—she heard a voice.“Just relax, Amora. There’s no need to be afraid,” Steffany said with a cold smile. “I’m going to send you to be with your mother.”Amora flinched. The memory of Steffany knocking her unconscious came rushing back. She tried to speak, but no sound came out. Her lips moved, but nothing followed. Steffany noticed and smirked.“I know you’ve been dying to see your mother again, haven’t you?” Steffany cooed. “Don’t worry, I’ll send you to her soon. It might hurt a little, but I promise I’ll make it quick.”Amora’s eyes widened in terror. She screamed silently in her mind, ‘No! I don’t want to die! You insane woman!’Steffany had already loaded a syringe with her homemade poison. She grabbed Amora’s ri
