I looked over his shoulder to see a woman that was literally his female version.

“Mom?! What are you doing here?!” Jerald snapped at the old lady. Oh it's his mother.

I quickly grabbed the dress from the floor and wore it while she was explaining.

“Uh… what am I doing here? You want me to leave?” His mother was fearless. She talked to him as if she had balls way huge than his.

“Yes! Leave! You're not supposed to be here until the next two days.” Jerald said, okay that's not a way to talk to your mother.

His mother turned and started walking to the door.

“No! Ma'am! Please… we are done.” I yelled and she turns to me with a huge smile.

“You must be Jennifer… Honey, it's safe to come now!” She yelled to someone else from the door.

“It better! Because I'm too old to die.”  A man walked to His mother and that made me make a conclusion that it's his father.

Wait… were we too loud? I felt my face flush red when my eyes and his mother's eyes meet. And I must say the woman is  beautiful.

She has a long face with a rounded jaw, a sharp nose, and large lips. Her light blue eyes are round and she has smooth eyebrows. She looked at me and smiled.

“What are you guys doing here?!” Jerald asked but his head was already in his hand and judging by all that, he didn't want to see his parents.

“We wanted to surprise you! So… Surprise!” His mother said sarcastically and I chuckled.

I found his father looking at me so intensively as if he's looking for something he lost.

“Jennifer?” He said unsure of himself and Jerald turned to me. But he wasn't as shocked as I was! How the hell does his parents know my name?

“Oh… yeah. Mom, dad meet Jennifer, my wife. Honey, meet Tracy and David, my parents.” Jerald says. When their eyes shifted to me? I wanted to shrink.

So I smiled and waved.“Hi.” My voice was crunchy and it was clear that I was shaking.

“Hi, It's nice to finally meet you.” Tracy said as she waved there.

“Well… We heard a lot about you but wish we met on different circumstances but it's nice to finally meet you.” They said. A week is finally?

“Well… make yourself feel at home. While we change.” Jerald said and leaned towards me.

“Remember what I taught you. Now, come on.” He said as he grabbed me by the waist.  We walked up the stairs.

I didn't even dare to say a word. I walked to my bedroom door.“One more thing. We've known each other from a very long time.” He says and I turned to look at him. Since when does 3 days equal to a ‘Very long time'?

“Why is that?” I asked. “I'd have to kill you if I tell you.”

I rolled my eyes at him and opened my door.

“And I will continue what We’ve started.” His stare was so intense, so burning and I knew what he was talking about.

“Whatever you say.” I say to him as I walked into my room. I washed my face and changed into a different dress and heels. Did I mention that the closet have all kind of heels. From slingback heels to platforms heels.

I wanted to go downstairs but I couldn't. His parents caught us kissing. But first, I have to zip find a way to zip this dress.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Before I could answer to the door, the door went open and  Jerald went in.

“You ready?” He asked. Even a blind person could see I'm still zipping the dress.

“Yes! I am ready.” I said sarcastically.

“Great. Now let's move.” He says. I looked at him and sighed.

“You're not going to help me?” I asked him and he licked his lips.

“I can't read between the lines, you know. You have to be more specific.” He says.

“Can you help me zip the dress?” I asked with a smile and he rolled his eyes. I hate his attitude.

He walked over to me, I turned to face the other way and I could feel his stare burn in my skin.

He backed away when he was done. Something I was expecting,  of course.

“Done. Now let's go.” We walked down the stairs and found his parents in the garden, talking about us.

“Wow, someone thought you went to continue in the bedroom." Tracy said and I almost laughed.

No wonder Jerald was teaching me all those things, his parents define the word Luxurious.

We got to talk, laugh and eat of course. Come on… who says no to food?

Jerald and David excused themselves, I was left alone with Tracy.

“Oh… you also have that flower.” I said pointing at the Datura flower on her hand and she smiled.

“Yes. We all do.” She responded.

“Does it have a specific meaning? I mean… Datura flower is poisonous and everything.” I tried not to sound offensive.

“It's a way the New York Cosa Nostra define themselves.” I felt like A whole Physics Law has been explained to me and I don't understand a thing. Cosa Nostra… I heard that before.  Oh it's on Jerald's hand.

“What's a Cosa Nostra?” I asked and she almost choked on her drink.

“Haha… you're joking right?” She laughed it off as if choking on a drink didn't make things awkward.

“Haha… no?” I said unsure of myself as I looked at her wipe the wine on her mouth.

“He didn't tell you, did he?” she asked and I shook my head no. Tell me what?

“Is it something to do with his Grandfather?” I asked. She looked at me with a reassurance face.

“My father is dead. And my husband's father is dead. Which grandfather are you talking about?”

“I… Eric?” I begun to stutter.

“Uh… yes. That's our butler. He's much more of a grandfather to Jerald, I'm surprised you know him. But to answer your question, no. The Cosa Nostra has nothing to do with him.” Jerald and David walked over to us.

I looked at Jerald. He looked pissed, his father patted his back and walked over to Tracy.

“Well… I think we should leave. They have to evacuate.” David said. Evacuate?

“Oh… okay. Well, it was nice meeting you. Now I can have grandchildren!” Tracy said and David laughed.

“Mom…” Jerald said and Tracy giggled. Honestly I would laugh but my mind is still on ‘Evacuate and Cosa Nostra.’

We accompanied them to their car and trust me… That's one masterpiece car.

I walked inside following Jerald.“Do you have something to tell me?” I asked as soon as we got into the house.

“Pardon me?” He asked as he looked at me confused.

“Like… do you have something to tell me?”

“Something like what?” He asked. So he got a lot of things to tell me?

“For starters, Eric isn't your grandfather.” I say to him and he nods unabashedly and roamed to the stairs.

“Excuse me! I am talking to you!” I yelled at him and I think I triggered some anger in him by doing that because he grabbed me by my neck.

“Listen… I'm right here next to you. You don't have to yell.” I thought maybe he was choking me but it was me. I forgot to breathe.

“Okay. What is Cosa Nostra?” I asked as I shoved his hands away from me.

“It's nothing.” He says.

“Why do we have to evacuate?” I asked out of curiosity and he sighed.

“No one is evacuating.”

“Jerald, we are married for fuck sake! You don't have to keep secrets from me.” I say to him. Well, isn't that what a married couple do?

They don't keep secrets from each other.

“Correction. It's a marriage contract.” He said. I don't remember signing a document.

“Marriage is not a contract. Marriage is a vow.” I say to him and he smirked.

“Yes. But our marriage was bargain. And marriage to me is as binding as in business.” He said. So it was all for business? Of course it was. What am I thinking?

“You need to get something straight in your mind, We didn't marry out of love.” He said so coldly that it sent shivering to my spine.

“Okay.” I responded. Not because I'm trying to act feisty but because he is right and I have nothing more to say. I walked pass him but he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him.

Gosh, this man is so strong. I found myself few inches away from his lips. He started leaning to me but I pushed him.

“We didn't marry out of love. I mean… Why bother?” I asked and he let out a small laughter.

“You're mine. I can do anything I want with you.” I laughed.

“That's where you're wrong, Jerald. I'm no one's possession. Besides… you don't even have a right to call me yours. It was a bargain.” I said roaming up the stairs.

“It's not bargain if we didn't sign on paper, Jennifer.”

“Whatever makes you sleep at night, honey!” I said sarcastically.

“You're mine. Only a matter of time and I will show you that or maybe Tonight, I'll show you that you're mine.” I heard him mumble but I didn't hear a word he said.

Jerald Carter, What are you exactly planning?

I heard footsteps but I didn't turn. Remember that small rope I bought at the cashbuild? The day I killed a man and never felt ashamed of it. He was holding the exact same rope.Honestly, at this point I'm thankful that I bought a small size. I swear he won't be able to tie my whole body with it.“Now what am I going to do with this?” He asked and I wanted to laugh but now wasn't the moment. He looked at the pillar at the middle of the room and if I'm thinking what he thinking then… that would pure torture. I saw a smirk on his face and I knew it. He grabbed my hand and we roamed to the pillar. The pillar was covered with a velvet fabric so I sighed in relief. He pushed my back to the pillar and grabbed both hands side ways and binded them together with that rope.I saw him walk to the dressing table and opened the drawer and took out a Whip. Not just any Whip but a black single tail whip. What did I expect? A rose?He snapped it right next to him and I mumbled under the ball but it

You have ladies who got their eyes on you.” Jeffery said pointing out a lady who was looking at Sean“Everything about my Jenny is special. I should've ordered the sniper to just go ahead with the shot but what if he misses and he shoots Jennifer? I don't understand why would Jennifer choose Jerald fucking Carter as her husband. Why?” “You left her for five years… what do you expect?” Jeffery said and Sean sighed.“You're right. I should just go to her and show her that I'm alive. Yes, I should.” “No. That isn't a smart move, could be a trap to use Jennifer as your weakness. Think about it though, once Jerald learned about the attack a while ago he married Jennifer in front of a lot of people. His enemies included.” “That means my Jenny loves me and only me. You're right! She has to.”“What if she's really in love with Jerald?”“I'll mak

That's all?“I am yours and only yours.” He smiled to what I said.“You're MINE and MINE ONLY!” He stiffened his voice. “For your punishment I want you to sleep in my arms,” I felt like my own ears were deceiving me.“Huh?”“Just that and I'll pretend you

Chris and other men came and took him away, busy congratulating him.We had dinner on the same table, talking and laughing. But not even a single man would look my direction.I stood by the side, near the window.“Officially married?” I heard a voice and when I turned it was from Mia. I smiled warmly at her and showed her the ring.“Officially Mrs. Carter,” I say. “I know I am married but isn't weird that men can't look at me? I'm not asking for attention but…”“Duh! It's because of that flower on your hand.” “Excuse me what?” What did Mia mean by that. I looked at the tattoo. Is it because Datura flowers are dangerous?“That literally means ‘Stay away, I am Jerald Carter’s wife! I belong to him and no one else' What else would you get a matching flower tattoo with Jerald for? Don't tell me for couple goals.” Mia said and I laughed but she looked dead serious.“Are you serious?!” I asked her.“Deadly.” She said. Chris called her, I guess they wanted to show us to our room now that
