Sebastian

After taking Isabella to the hospital, I sat silently in the car for quite a while. This time, I was in a very uncomfortable situation. Isabella’s weak voice kept echoing in my head

“She hit me, Sebastian… she is jealous of our past memories...”

Her reddened cheek, her tear-streaked face, her trembling voice—it took all my attention and left a deep impression, because it felt so convincing.

Isabella, who had just come out of the hospital, had to experience something like that.

In this solitude, imagining the incident didn’t just make me keep thinking of Isabella—there was a feeling that weighed heavily on my chest and made me feel like I was drowning.

The woman I didn’t love, Cassandra—I’d been married to her for three years, and not once had I treated her kindly.

But… she had never once acted cruelly.

Despite being ignored, she always repeated the same things—preparing food for me, smiling at me.

To the point I thought she was just a foolish woman.

But this time, I had diff

SebastianOn the way, for some reason, I couldn’t shake off the memory of what I’d just done at the bar—throwing the wedding ring that had always rested on my ring finger at Cassandra. The dazed look in her eyes disturbed me deeply. She didn’t even blink as she stared at the ring lying right in front of her.She was so transfixed, and that image stayed vivid in my mind.I clenched my fists and walked away with Isabella, as if I had never caught the sorrowful tremor in her eyes. As I left her behind, my soul felt gripped by an invisible hand.In that moment, maybe I had gone too far, too harsh. The chatter of those annoying people had made me lose control.I felt a soft hand touch mine. “What are you thinking about, Sebastian?”As my eyes widened, I snapped out of my thoughts and pulled my hand away from Isabella. Her beautiful face looked disappointed; she bit her lower lip, her eyes brimming with tears.“Do you not love me anymore?”Sometimes I don’t even understand myself. Isabella’

  • The Wife He Never Wanted   Chapter 10

CassandraA week had passed since he left me having dinner alone with Grandpa. He walked away without looking back, just to be by the side of the woman he truly wanted to marry. To me, I realized that he would always act like that—and I shouldn’t have to count the days since I last saw him. Because he would never do the same for me.I had just finished drying my hair when my phone rang. For some reason, I didn’t pick it up right away — maybe because I knew it wouldn’t be anything pleasant, just something else to weigh on my mind. But the phone kept ringing, so I finally answered it. It was a call from Andrian… I really didn’t want to pick up, but in the end, I did.For a moment, I took a deep breath and spoke calmly. “Hello?”“Hey, Sebastian’s drunk. You have to pick him up.”I still didn’t understand his curt tone—it didn’t sound like he was asking for help, more like he was giving me an order.“You can take him home,” I answered, clearly annoyed.“It’d be better if you came here. Chapter 9SebastianI arrived at the hospital to meet her. There was a sense of unease within me. For some reason, I hated what I had done earlier—leaving Cassandra behind. At that moment, her eyes met mine. My veins tensed in that situation, and the air felt dry. I had made a great effort to come here, trying to ignore everything—just because of Isabella’s voice, filled with sobs. She needed me… or so I thought. But it seems that wasn’t true. My tightened veins made me clench my fists.Isabella was sitting down, greeting me with her sweet smile.“Sebastian!” she moved, sitting up straighter than before. Her beautiful face didn’t soften me in the slightest. My blood boiled at the situation.Isabella looked perfectly fine, her face fresh. That means she had lied to me—again.“You’re being unreasonable,” I snarled at her.I wasn’t in the mood to indulge her or go along with her games. I didn’t know why she had become so difficult, doing such unexpected things. She wasn’t like this befor

  • The Wife He Never Wanted   Chapter 8

CassandraSomething different happened this time. Every time I wake up, I usually feel a chill wrapping around my body, making me shiver. At that moment, I remembered falling asleep on the sofa—curled up from the weight of the sorrow drowning me. I thought this moment would be no different than usual. But this time, I felt a different kind of warmth—something slightly over the top of my body. Then my eyes caught sight of Sebastian holding me, with me lying in his arms.I rubbed my eyes several times and looked again at the calm face beside me. Not once had this man ever slept beside me, not even after we had been physically intimate. This morning was a surprise—one that left me speechless. This strange moment made my body instinctively pull away from him. This was wrong. But his eyes opened, looking at me.I kept pulling away. I was the one who didn’t understand his actions and couldn’t accept what he had done.“Grandfather wants us home for dinner today.” His hoarse voice broke the s

  • The Wife He Never Wanted   Chapter 6

CassandraWith her soft voice, she said something sharp. The corner of her eyes sharpened, and she made me freeze. Isabella being here is still very shocking to me. She’s here to make my situation even more uncomfortable. Right now, I can feel my fists clenching tighter. The soul within me is screaming loudly, then interrupted by the sound of approaching footsteps. Then my eyes met his—blue, cold, and sharp, piercing straight into mine. But there was a glint I couldn’t understand in the way he looked at me. His different gesture made my breath slow down. What is he thinking right now? Does he feel guilty towards me?That thought almost made me laugh—because a man who sees himself as so perfect like Sebastian would never feel something like that just for me—the woman he hates.“Bella’s been in bed for too long,” he finally spoke. “She needs some fresh air, but her motor functions haven’t fully recovered yet. I could only bring her home.”He explained it very well, but something insi
