My eyelids felt heavy and they ached badly but I still struggled to open them after much difficulty. I stared around, it was dark and cold in here. I was lying on a strong mattress that almost blended with the floor. I was dressed in a worn out gown, my bare feet numb from the cold. I pushed myself up a little so as to observe my surroundings better. I was in a cell!. They put me in the pack’s cell!!!!!!???. I felt anger surge within me, my fingers curled into fist as I squeezed them in anger, nails digging into my palm. I still felt weak, my wounds were barely healing. Why am I not healing?, what was I injected with??. Why aren't they investigating this?, why am I in a cell instead of being in the local medicine house, being treated?. What is this treatment like I'm a criminal?.These questions ran through my mind and it increased my fury. The village mall was a modest hub of activities. There were small stalls by the corner which consisted of a bakery, a coffee shop and an antique store but in the middle was the huge building, the main mall. The exterior was decorated with earthy tones and rocks to give it that earthy feel. There was a stylish sign outside with ‘TOWN MALL’ boldly written on it.
