Chapter: Chapter 5
Kelvin's pov The Blowing horn pack fit Amelia like a glove, at least most times it did. When she thought no one was looking, she'd stare into the distance like something–someone–was calling for her. It only lasted for a second then she was all smiles again and my chest would cave in. What could I do to truly make her want to stay? I needed her to stay…the moon goddess had led me to her, she was my only hope to finally be free of… “Alpha Kelvin,” Elara’s youthful and motherly voice sliced through my incoming headache as she walked in with a plate holding three scrumptious sandwiches. I'd been holed up in my office all day and hadn't gotten the chance to even think about food. “Thanks, Elara…” one bite was enough to tell me that she didn't make the sandwich. It wasn't bad–just different. She noticed my curiosity before I even voiced it. “Amelia made the sandwiches,” “She did?” I said taking a bigger bite, suddenly they tasted even better than before. “She did,” Elara affirmed

Chapter: Chapter 4
Amelia's pov My eyes broadened until they were almost the size of the dinner plates that were brought at that moment carrying an assortment of meals. I allowed the intoxicating aroma of bacon to distract me from what he just said, and didn't even address it until it was right in front of me and the servants were gone. “I'm sorry, that must have come off the wrong way. It's not like you are a prisoner here you are free to go or stay–the choice in your hands,” I relaxed a bit when he said that, then helped myself to a bacon before responding. “Actually, I was wondering if you could make me a temporary member of your pack,” “Temporary?” He raised an eyebrow. “Yes, I might not be able to stay here for long. The truth is that..” Could I tell him about my amnesia? I guess there was no problem trusting him with that much. “I have no memory of my past before I became a lone wolf, and it eats away at day and night. I'm always worried that there's something I'm supposed to do, but I

Chapter: Chapter 3
Amelia's POV For the next 3 days my body battled with a fever and slipped in and out of consciousness constantly. It wasn't just the cold that got to me, days of living on the edge barely surviving while I was being chased relentlessly. My body had been running on nothing but sheer adrenaline but now that I knew that I was safe, it sizzled out and my body surrendered to the fever. Tala remained by my side, taking care of me. At least that's what the foggy bits of my memory told me, but she wasn't the only one, another less familiar face kept popping up. Alpha Kelvin. He'd saved me that night, expecting nothing apparently. It seemed so strange. “Amelia, now that you're feeling better you'll have to present yourself to Alpha Kelvin,” Tala told me as she-handed me a bowl of warm soup. “Okay, I have no problem with that,” I said, picking up my spoon. “By the way…” Tala's voice dropped by a decibel and she scooted over to me, “Have you remembered anything yet?” The soup suddenly b

Kelvin's pov “Dammit, have they caught up already?” She whispered just below I her breath but my ears were too sharp to miss it, did this woman have someone after her? That would explain why she was so cautious. The moon goddess had led me straight to her, called my wolf to the river bank. But if we were ambushed now I was immediately set at a hard disadvantage protecting her, is she really worth all that trouble? My internal conflict temporarily subsided when she subconsciously gripped my fur tighter and a strong resolution to protect her overwhelmed me. I bared my teeth and let out a growl, preparing to pounce and…“Alpha Kelvin!” A mind link shot through my head like a needle. Oh, it was only Tala. A chirpy pack member that had joined Blowing horn pack only a year ago.A wave of palpable relief washed over me, not because I couldn't hold my own in a fight but protecting someone else while fighting was too much of a headache. “Tala, it's too late into the night to be wandering

Chapter: Chapter 1
Aria’s pov “Catch her! We can't let her escape!” my feet begged for rest that I couldn't grant, the woods blurred past the corner of my eye with a blur of trees and thorns. Three days. That's how long these rogues had been chasing me, I was a lone wolf and a woman so creepers trying to take advantage of that wasn't novel to me. But something was off, this relentless pursuit made no sense for rogues unless. My eyes widened by an inch as I came to a river with a broken bridge. I was being targeted.“There's nowhere left to run, b*tch,” one of them said between a growl of satisfaction it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand. “Who sent you?!” I yelled turning away from the uncrossable river. It was only for a moment, but I saw it. A hesitant pause that swept through all my pursuers, meaning I was right. Someone was after me. “Just be a good girl and surrender, we promise to be gentle,” one of them with several chips teeths said. I forced back my vomit, skin crawled
