The Alpha’s Silver Mate

The Alpha’s Silver Mate

Blurb His hand rested beside my head, trapping me in place, but it wasn’t his strength that made me breathless, it was the way his voice dropped, husky and low. “You can lie with your lips, Ruelle,” he said, fingers brushing slow over my waist, sending heat curling through me. “But your body screams for me.” I hated how right he was. Hated how easily he read me, how every inch of me betrayed what I wouldn’t say. “You don’t know what you’re doing to me,” I whispered, my voice a shaky mess. His mouth ghosted along my jaw, hot breath skating over my skin. “Then say it,” he murmured. “Say you feel it too.” I was unraveling, coming apart under the weight of his nearness, the way he smelled, the way his eyes burned like he already owned me. I tried to speak, but his lips were too close, his presence too much. “Thorne…” My voice was a low whisper, a plea for more. For him. “Say it,” he breathed, not touching my mouth, but close enough that I could already taste him. I was unraveling. His mouth crashed into mine, fierce and claiming, all teeth and heat and desperation. And when he pulled back just enough to speak, his voice was rough and ragged. “You’re mine, Ruelle. You always were.”

Chapter: Chapter 2: The pull
Chapter 2: A PullThorne’s POVI had seen many wolves in my time. She-wolves who paraded around me with the intentions of being noticed and rewarded with one thing or the other. However this was the first of her kind. It was the last thing I expected to find hidden in a tree. The moment she jumped down with her head bowed and stance guarded could be likened to a large ball of light dropping from the sky. I had perceived her before I saw her, a thread of the sharp scent of wolf hidden behind the softness of earth and the coolness of winter air. She smelled just like the forest. The deadly mystery that had been lodged in the corners of the forest had seized the moment she revealed herself, replaced with the calmness and tranquility of green. Like the trees had finally seen a familiar face. I stood, silently watching as she finally moved, padding slowly towards me and around. My guards were already on alert but with a raised hand to them, they stilled. She glided around me like breeze

Chapter: Chapter 1: The meeting
Chapter 1: The Meeting. Ruelle’s POV“Maybe if you spent less time waning in the woods, you would know what it feels like to be useful to the pack”Thessa’s words echoed in my head over and over, as I haunched in my wolf form by the clearing in the woods. Unlike my sisters, Valka, Seren and Thessa, I wasn’t a fighter. They were warriors, protectors of the Reach as they liked to call themselves, but not me. I was the one who stayed behind while they fought. At first I was being protected from the war. My Father always dismissed the idea of me going to war with the rest of the Protectors. But then I reached a certain age where I had the liberty of choice and I willingly chose to stay behind. Needless to say, my sisters never liked that idea. They always retuned high on victory with proud glints in their eyes. Being the daughters of the Alpha of the Silvermane Pack, it was unheard of that they went into battle and lost. And they always found a way to rub it in my face. The thoughts r
