THE REJECTED LUNA

THE REJECTED LUNA

She was fated to be his… or so she thought. Elsie Whitmore, daughter of the pack’s Beta, believed destiny had chosen her when she discovered her fated mate. But hours later, everything shattered. Rejected. Humiliated. Her mate chose her sister, crowning her the Luna while Elsie was left to drown in heartbreak and whispers of weakness. Months of illness, silence, and solitude follow until a moonlit celebration changes everything. A powerful visiting Alpha notices the girl everyone discarded, seeing something no one else does: strength, fire… and a destiny that cannot be ignored. But the pack whispers of a prophecy, a warning etched in silver and blood: “The rejected Luna will either destroy the pack… or save it.” Now, Elsie must decide: bow to the fate they forced on her… or rise as the Luna she was always meant to be. Powerful. Dangerous. Irresistible. The moon is watching. Will she answer its call?

Chapter: Chapter six
High in the night sky was the moon. Full.‎Bright.‎Unforgiving.‎‎ The night wind gently tugged at Elsie's pale dress as she stood in the middle of the clearing behind the Alpha estate, the cool grass brushing against her bare feet. They could almost feel the weight of what was about to happen in the stillness of the forest around them. There was no celebration here. ‎There weren't any lamps. No sound. No wolves cheering. There is no sound.‎ The elders' expressions were solemn as they stood in a half circle near the ancient stone altar. Even though the tension in his jaw betrayed him, Edward maintained a rigid posture as he stood in front of her wearing dark ceremonial robes. Sara was standing in his stead. Her hand rested protectively over the slight curve of her stomach.‎‎ Elsie made a conscious effort not to look at it. Her father was worried and stood next to the older people. There were only a few people in attendance. Family.‎ Heads of the pack. Witnesses.‎ Nothing furt

Chapter: Chapter five
Finally, it was hours to the wedding between Edward the future Alpha and Sara, the beta's daughter.Elsie adjusted the silver ribbon tied around the archway, stepping back to examine it carefully.‎"Perfect. just perfect", one wolf shouted excitedly ‎White roses curled around the wooden frame, their soft scent drifting through the courtyard as pack members moved around preparing tables, lanterns, and banners. The entire estate buzzed with excitement.‎The Future Alpha’s wedding was not a small event and more over this was like killing two birds with one stone because the future Luna was also carrying an heir.‎It was a celebration for the whole pack.‎“Beta’s daughter,Miss Elsie, the flowers for the eastern tables are ready. Where should we place them?” one of the younger wolves asked nervously.‎Elsie offered a calm smile, the kind that had become second nature, her new face over the past few weeks.‎“Along the edge of the aisle,” she said gently. “And leave space for the musicians

Chapter: chapter four
Minutes turned to hours and hours into days after Elsie made things clear that day‎She was mostly indoors and secretly thankful that not many people knew of what happened between Edward and herself.‎‎The house that once felt heavy with silence slowly filled with movement again.‎Servants moved in and out of the halls carrying fabrics, decorations, and lists. Members of the pack visited almost daily, discussing arrangements, traditions, and preparations.‎The wedding was approaching.‎And to the outside world, everything looked perfectly normal.‎Elsie stood in the large hall with a parchment in her hands, calmly reviewing the list of decorations. Her voice was steady as she gave instructions to the workers.‎“The white flowers should line the aisle,” she said. “Not the red ones. Move those to the reception area.”‎“Yes, Miss Elsie,” one of the servants replied before quickly fixing the arrangement.‎Elsie nodded slightly and continued down the list.‎From the outside, she looked c

Chapter: Chapter three
Edward's POV‎I don’t even know what to do about any of this.‎Elsie being my mate makes everything so much harder. She’s not just my mate but she’s also my childhood friend. The girl who grew up beside me, who trusted me more than anyone else. But at the same time… I can’t ignore the child growing in Sara’s womb.‎After years of being involved with Sara, I can’t pretend there aren’t feelings there. Maybe not the kind that shake my soul the way the mate bond with Elsie does, but something real. Something that refuses to disappear.‎Watching Elsie stand there in my father’s office, hearing everything… it broke something inside me. I felt it clearly, my wolf slowly retreating, growing quiet and distant as I forced myself to choose a path that meant abandoning our mate.‎But I’m not just any man wolf,‎I’m the Alpha’s son, the Future Alpha of Bloom Pack.‎I was raised my entire life to put the pack first. Before myself. Before my heart. Before everything.‎And that’s what I’m doing now.

Elsie POV.....‎I woke up feeling refreshed and happy. No bad dreams. I can't wait for what today holds for me ‎The did everything hastily and went down for breakfast. ‎"Nana Bel, where are my parents and sister"? I asked‎Nana Bel is our nanny and housekeeper. My father even said she was his nanny when he was young too.‎"They were sermoned by the Alpha and they asked me to join them after breakfast", she said.‎mmm - I thought ‎Did the Alpha sermon them because, Edward has told them about us being mates? I was excited in a way and was planning on how to ask for my family's forgiveness as I hid this vital information from them.‎Not that they won't forgive me but then I will have to coerce my mother and sister especially because I promised to never hide anything from them but look at me, look what love made me do, I laug
