Kimberly Wilson had been married to Steven Smith for two years. When Steven proposed a divorce, she agreed without hesitation. Holding a huge fortune, she began to wealth freely. The Wilson family had only one child, so who would be family continuity? Simple, she said, 'Help me post a message offering a high reward for pregnancy.' It read, "Due to my husband's car accident rendering him infertile, seeking a healthy male for surrogacy. Generous compensation." As for the requirements, 'Must be handsome, have an excellent physique, graduated from an Ivy League school, and be good in bed. Price is negotiable.' Her highly efficient personal assistant, whom she had hired at great expense, sent over photos of applicants the next day. One ultimately met her criteria and even exceeded her expectations. The side profile in the photo, noble and aloof, looked familiar. She immediately decided, 'Okay, It's him.' 'He's available anytime, but he has one prerequisite.' her assistant informed. Kimberly raised an eyebrow, 'What requirement?' 'He's a bit shy, so the lights must be off.' Only later did she realize what trouble she had gotten into. The man was not only the sole heir to the multi-billion luxury goods group-Garcia group but also the best friend of her ex-husband. Steven didn't wait for Kimberly to reconcile as usual but instead heard the news of her new romance. Despairing, he said, 'I can live without her. Don't try to persuade me.' But later, drunk, he called in the middle of the night. 'Kiki...' His voice was choked up. A cold male voice responded from the other end, 'May I ask why you're calling my wife in the middle of the night?' '......'

Divorce

Kimberly felt she must have accumulated good karma in her past life to have such an overwhelmingly wealthy and fortunate life in this one.

As she looked at the divorce agreement filled with numerous zeros and another contract for transferring shares of Smith's Group, she was astounded.

A deep, magnetic voice devoid of emotion said, "Kim, we've been married for two years. There's some affection between us. If you have any demands, let me know. I'll try to accommodate."

Steven's gaze turned cold; his long legs crossed. He said with a hint of impatience, "We were forced into a business marriage. I tried to live a fulfilling life with you, but we're not compatible." He would never spend his life with a woman who employed paparazzi to stalk him and used underhanded methods to interfere with his social freedom.

Kimberly casually counted the zeros in the divorce agreement. It seemed like an astronomical sum. Steven was indeed wealthy, something she always knew, but she didn't expect him to be this rich. Even if they'd only been married for two years, the amount she was getting was incredible. With this money, she could have many young men and live a luxurious life for generations, especially with the shares from Smith's Group. The terms were too tempting for her to refuse.

Her lips curved into a smile, her cheeks dimpling attractively. "This is reasonable. I'm satisfied, but I have one condition. Our families shouldn't know about this for now." She quickly added, "Don't worry, it won't be long. It won't affect your next relationship."

Steven, previously emotionless, frowned upon hearing her statement. He had no affairs outside their marriage, but if she insisted on seeing him that way, he'd play along to end the marriage. He was tired of her constant suspicions and her lack of trust. It was time to finish it and get back on track.

"Fine," he replied briefly.

She signed the divorce papers swiftly, her signature flowing gracefully. Steven seemed relieved after she signed, and his demeanor visibly lightened. He spoke more than usual, saying, "Kim, you're a good woman, but your constant suspicions tired me. However, if you're willing, we can still be friends."

Kimberly, playing with the expensive pen, replied light-heartedly, "Thanks, Mr. Steven. No need for friendship. Just be gentle in the business world with small companies like ours." Though the Wilson family's company was not a small entity, her remark was a jab at him.

Steven responded, "Maybe if you changed that prickly attitude of yours, we might have had a chance." And with that, he left.

Kimberly carefully packed the divorce agreement, thinking, 'Who'd want to live with you anyway?' Besides being handsome and wealthy, Steven had a messy personal life.

He rarely visited their villa, and on one occasion, a woman answered his phone late at night. She was glad to be free of the sham marriage and felt Steven was generous in the settlement.

My current preoccupation lies solely in devising an explanation to the grandpa. In times past, when our family enterprise floundered, he went around begging for help. Finally, he used his youthful kindness to old Mr. Smith facilitated this business marriage.

His foresight was indeed sharp. At the time, Steven merely oversaw the technical department of Smith Corporation, with his uncle, George Smith at the helm. Initially, it was George I was to marry. Yet, out of a deep-seated sense of indebtedness, my grandpa was adamant: it would be Steven who should stand by my side.

In a turn as swift as it was unforeseen, within two years, Steven ascended from his departmental role to become the CEO of Smith Corporation.

Amidst these contemplations, Kimberly rose with resolve, her luggage swiftly packed. A call to her assistant, and she departed that very afternoon, her actions bereft of hesitation.

After one day off, she come back company start working in the evening. Old Mr. Wilson seems feel something, and calls come in shortly.

"Kiki, is everything ok? How's Steven?" inquired Old Mr. Wilson, his voice laced with tentatively.

Kimberly voice was as good as before and said with smile, "Everything is good. We are fine. Grandpa. Please enjoy your vocation."

"That's good! Steve is a good man. Your parents passed away early. I just want to find someone you can rely on. “Old Wilson is rare being serious.

Listening to grandpa's ramble, Kimberly’s heart felt sour, eyes were red, and whispered, "I know, Grandpa."

Still not entirely detached from her emotional turmoil, old Wilson's start again, "Child is essential to cement the bonds of love between two people."

"Why don't you talk? Grandpa has only a few years to live. He wants to hug his great-grandson in his lifetime. You can't even satisfy this wish. Your parents passed away early, and I worked so hard to raise you..." he lamented, his voice thick with a sense of injury.

Kimberly, pressing her throbbing temples, sought to interject, "Grandpa, do you truly long so deeply to hold a great-grandchild?"

"Isn't it obvious? It's my dearest dream," he retorted.

"What if I were to make that dream come true, but afterward, there's something I need to discuss with you. Would you agree to it?"

The possibility shone in his eyes, immediately erasing any trace of his previous somber tone; he spiritedly proclaimed, "If you fulfill this dream of mine, there's not a single thing I wouldn't agree to—no, make that a hundred!"

After ending the call, Kimberly's thoughts swiftly shifted as she dialed another number, "I need you to send out a message through your private network."

"Of course, Miss Kimberly, what would you like the message to state?" asked John, her senior personal assistant, with utmost respect.

"Announce that we are offering a substantial reward for the help in conceiving a child."
