Fangs Beneath Ice
“You think I’m scared of you?” I snapped.
Aiden Cross shoved me hard against the locker.
The metal slammed behind my back while his hand wrapped around my throat and said with a low voice “You should be.”
The hallway outside the locker room was filled with noise from the hockey crowd, but inside, everything felt quiet.
I glared at him and said with gritted teeth “Go choke on your ego, Cross.”
A smirk appeared on his face and he said with a teasing voice “That mouth is going to get you into trouble one day, Little Wolf.”
I shoved against his chest and shouted “Get lost, Cross”.
Instead of moving away, he leaned closer and his nose brushed near my jaw while fingers tightened slightly around my throat.
He murmured “You don’t understand yet, do you? If I wanted to break you, Cole, I would’ve done it already, little wolf.”
Hearing his words, a shiver ran down my spine.
At Blackthorne Academy, powerful wolves are worshipped like gods and nobody is more feared than Aiden Cross. He was the hockey captain of the rival team and everyone obeys him except Cole Black. He has spent his whole life trying to prove he deserves a place in a family that already chose someone else. While his stepbrother is treated like the future Alpha, Cole is constantly reminded he is unwanted. Then his fated mate rejects him and chooses Aiden publicly but the way Aiden looked at him, a chill ran down Cole’s spine.
Beneath the brutal hockey rivalry and violent attraction, something terrifying is waking up inside Blackthorne Academy, a secret society and its rituals. There was a secret that Cole’s father was hiding. A secret that will change Cole and Aiden’s lives forever.

Chapter: Mother's IdentityCole POVThe emergency alarms echoed across Blackthorne University, drowning out the last of the wolves's howls and red warning lights flashed across every building.Students flooded into the courtyards, some still wearing pajamas beneath T-shirts. Confused voices mixed with anxious whispers as everyone searched for answers. I folded the note and slipped it into my pocket. The words refused to leave my mind “Your mother didn't die the way they told you.”Someone had risked sneaking to my dorm just to tell me that. Why? And who would do that? What would they get by doing it? I was not naive enough to believe someone could help me to find my mother's origin freely. I knew they wanted something from me, but what? I didn't know.A loud voice boomed through the campus speakers "All students report to the central courtyard immediately. This is not a drill."Hearing it, a cold shiver ran through my spine. What would happen to the college authority to announce this? I grabbed my jacket and hur

Chapter: Echoes Beneath the StoneCole POVMy heart launched when a hand gripped my wrist from the darkness.A familiar voice whispered near my ear "Keep quiet, unless you want them to find you."Aiden Cross! Now I was sure he stalked me like a creep. Wherever I went, he always followed.I jerked my arm free and spun around and I hissed "What are you doing here?" The faint light from distant torches caught the sharp lines of his face. Unlike the Obsidian Circle members who wore masks, he wore no silver mask.A smirk appeared on his face and he said in a teasing voice "I could ask you the same question."I said in a low voice "I asked first."Aiden glanced toward the tunnel where the masked figures had disappeared and said "And if you keep talking, they'll hear us."His calm tone only irritated me. Seriously, was there even one time when he didn't irritate me? I just want some alone time. Why did he always stalk me? I narrowed my eyes and asked with an irritated voice "You've been following me."He said with a serious

Chapter: Beneath the West WingCole POVThe silver pendant felt colder than ice. I turned it over in my palm for the twentieth time, tracing the crescent moon engraved on its surface with my thumb. It wasn't new, the edges were worn smooth, as though someone had carried it for years. I could tell it was from my mother. The only photograph I had of her showed this exact pendant resting against her collarbone.I looked back into the empty hallway. There were no footsteps or shadows, no sign of whoever had left the wooden box outside my room. Was it a prank? No, it could not be a prank. Not everyone knew about my mother. Father never discussed about my mother. Almost nobody ever spoke about her. It's like talking about her was forbidden but I want to know about my mother. Whoever knew about this pendant also knew about my mother.I quietly closed the dorm room door and locked it.I looked at the note again “She wanted you to find this before they did.”I narrowed my eyes and murmured "They."The word bothered me more t

Chapter: RivalryCole POVBy the time Monday morning arrived, I had developed a new routine and that was to ignore the whispers, ignore the stares and most importantly, ignore Aiden Cross. The first two were manageable but the third one? Impossible.Every hallway seemed too small whenever he was around. Every room felt like it shrank until there was nowhere to look except at him or more accurately, nowhere to avoid looking.I adjusted the strap of my hockey bag as I walked toward the arena.Today's practice wasn't ordinary. Both Black Fang and Crimson Claw had been ordered to share the ice before next week's match. Coach claimed it would "evaluate discipline under pressure."I didn't want to see him but in this case I didn't have any choice. Seriously, sometimes I wonder what the moon goddess thought when she wrote my destiny. I mean I should have more encounters with my ex-fated Luna. I watched dramas and their fated alpha and luna met all the time. At that time, the mistress tried to humiliate the pr

Chapter: You are InterestingCole POV The locker room fell silent. Aiden leaned against the doorway, one of his hands in his pocket and his dark eyes fixed on Lucas. A small smile appeared on his face, but it didn't reach his eyes.He said lazily "Practice ended ten minutes ago. Why are you still bothering my little wolf?"Hearing it, I clenched my jaw and said with gritted teeth "I told you not to call me that."Aiden didn't even look at me, his attention stayed on Lucas.Lucas crossed his arms, forcing a smile and said "I was talking to my brother."Aiden’s one eye raised and he asked with a mocking tone "You call that talking?" His voice remained calm, but I could feel his anger beneath his words. Lucas shrugged and said with a casual tone "What I do with my family isn't your business."Aiden took one slow step forward, like a Predator, and said with his cold voice, "No, it becomes my business when I have to keep pulling your hands off him."The room grew colder. Several teammates quietly slipped out of the

Chapter: RumorsCole's POVThe next morning, everything in the Blackthorne Academy felt different or maybe I was the one who changed.Students stared at me everywhere, in the hallway, inside classrooms and even during breakfast.Their whispers followed me like shadows “That’s him.”One person said “The one from initiation.”Another person said “I heard he collapsed during the ritual.”Another person murmured “No way.”Someone said “What if he’s cursed?”Hearing it, I tightened my grip around my coffee cup but kept walking without giving them any reaction. I hated attention, especially this kind of attention. The bruise-like mark on my throat burned slightly under my collar. I could still feel Aiden’s fingers brushing against it last night.Remembering that, my jaw tightened immediately. That jerk did that purposely.I entered my classroom quietly and sat near the back like always. Most students avoided sitting beside me now. Well, it's not like they always wanted to approach me but now they act like

Chapter: My Father's SecretAdrian POVI stared at Victor and asked with a shocking voice “My father knew Matteo Falcone?”He didn't answer immediately, he stood near the study door with his coat already in his hand and he said with an unreadable expression “Yes.”The single word made my chest tighten. What the hell! How could my father know the mafia? My father died when I was born. I didn't have any bond with my father but Mother said he was an honest man then how could he know Matteo Falcone?I looked at him and asked “How?”Victor answered “That’s what we're going to find out.”I followed him out of the study and said “Boss, wait.”He stopped and I caught up with him and said “You said my father's documents were found in my apartment.”He nodded and said “Yes.”I asked “Who found them?”He murmured “My men.”I narrowed my eyes and asked with gritted teeth “Why were they looking through my things?”Like seriously, I thought after so many times we spent together, you at least believed me but I guess I was wrong

Chapter: Matteo FalconeAdrian POVMrs. Falcone’s words stayed in my head “They’ve already voted.”I stared at her, unable to understand what I had just heard. Then I asked with a confused voice “Voted for what?”Her eyes softened, and she said in a polite voice, “For your death.”Hearing it, my stomach dropped. How could she say something like that with a polite voice like it's not a very serious matter! For a few seconds, I couldn't move and the study suddenly felt smaller. The bookshelves, the dark wooden desk, the photographs on the walls everything seemed to close in around me.Luca stepped forward and said with hesitation “Mrs. Falcone, what are you doing here? Boss doesn't like it when you come here.”She looked at him calmly and said with a smiling face “He deserves to know.”I finally found my voice and asked “Who?”Mrs. Falcone didn't answer immediately. Instead, she walked toward the desk and placed one hand on the edge and said “Not everyone in the Falcone family wants you dead, Adrian.”Well, I w

Chapter: The Falcone Family is ComplicatedAdrian POVThe words echoed through the room "Tell Victor Falcone, his own family wants Adrian dead."For a second, no one moved. When I looked at Victor, his expression didn't change and that was the frightening part. His face remained perfectly calm, but something dark settled behind his eyes.Luca broke the silence first "The sniper refused to say anything else."Victor buttoned his jacket over the fresh bandage on his shoulder and asked with a cold voice "Where is he?"Luca replied "In the basement."Victor asked again in his cold voice "Alive?"Luca said with hesitation "Barely."Victor nodded once and said "Good."Then he walked toward the door and I stepped in front of him and said with determination "I'm coming."His eyes met mine and he said with gritted teeth "No."I insisted "I'm involved now."He argued "That's exactly why you're staying here."I folded my arms and murmured "You keep saying that."He continued "And you keep ignoring me."I said with gritted teeth "Because l

Chapter: Panic RoomAdrian POVThe sound of shattering glass echoed through the penthouse and Victor's arm tightened around my waist as he pulled me behind the couch. The impact knocked the air from my lungs and my heart pounded so hard I could barely hear anything else.Victor kept one arm firmly around me while reaching inside his jacket with his other hand and a black gun appeared in his hand and his entire expression changed, it became cold and deadly. He barked "Luca!" Luca was already moving and crouched beside the broken window, staying below the frame and he said in a panicked voice "Sniper attack!" Victor nodded once and said in a cold voice "I know."Another loud crack split the air and the second bullet punched through the wall above us and pieces of plaster scattered across the floor.I instinctively ducked lower and Victor immediately pulled me closer against his chest and said in a concerned voice "Stay down."I murmured with a panicked voice "I'm trying."I looked up at him and asked with

Chapter: I gave you a chance only for my daughterAdrian POVLuca’s voice was still in my ear “Isabella’s missing.”The words hit the room like a gunshot and Victor’s entire expression changed instantly, every trace of emotion disappeared behind his cold face.He asked with his cold voice “When?” Luca stepped farther into the penthouse and said with hesitation “About an hour ago.”Victor grabbed his coat and asked with an angry voice “Who was with her?”Luca replied nervously “One driver and two guards.”Victor narrowed his eyes and asked “And?”Luca hesitated for some time then said “The guards are unconscious.”The room became silent instantly.I watched Victor carefully, his movements stayed calm but I could see the tension in his shoulders. His reaction was not from anger but fear because no matter what happened between them, Isabella was still his daughter.Victor looked toward me briefly and ordered “Stay here.”What the hell! Who did he think I was?I frowned and said with determination “I’m coming.”He said firmly “No.”I ins

Chapter: Isabella is MissingAdrian POVThe words stayed in the air like a bomb nobody wanted to touch “But apparently your taste in men didn’t.”I glanced at Victor and saw that his expression was colder than I had ever seen it.Valentina leaned casually against the counter, completely relaxed, while the atmosphere around us turned sharp enough to cut skin.Victor said calmly “It ended years ago.” Valentina said with a soft smile “Yes, but you never looked at me the way you look at him.”My chest tightened instantly. I didn't know why I listened to their conversation. But I couldn't move.Victor’s gaze darkened and he warned her with an angry voice “Valentina!”But she only laughed quietly and said “What? You think I can’t see it?”Well, I don't know what they are talking about and I have no interest in being part of their conversation.I stepped back slightly and said with hesitation “This conversation feels like something I shouldn’t be part of.”Valentina replied before Victor could speak “You definitely sho
