The whole pack watched Kane tore my world apart in front of everyone I cared about.
"I renounce you as my mate," he said. "Get out of my pack. I never want to see your face again."
I didn't cry. Not in front of Selena's smug smile. Not in front of a pack that treated me like a servant for years. They had no idea I was the one keeping their crops alive, healing their sick at night. None of that mattered anymore. All that mattered was one word. Renounce.
So I left. No pack, no home, no mate. Just my mom's necklace and a wound that probably wasn't going to heal.
I walked north with no real plan. Along the way, a stranger told me about a Wolf Academy in Bloodfang Pack, where wolves from different territories trained before heading into the world. Something about that pulled at me.
I never made it there alone. Three Alphas dropped to their knees the second they saw my necklace. Behind them stood the True Alpha, calm and powerful, looking at me like I wasn't broken at all.
"You're home now," he said.
When I mentioned the academy, he smiled like he already knew. I was going to ask about it. I enrolled that week, and he made time for me, the kind he never gave anyone.
The True Alpha never spends time with anyone outside the three main Alphas, so people noticed fast when he started talking to me. Some respected me for it. Most hated me for it. The jealousy came quick, from girls who wanted his attention for years and never got it.
Whispers turned into sabotage. That night, it almost got me killed. And That's the night everyone found out what I really was.
