Rein returns to Ravenclaw for three months before returning to her life away from the pack to visit her older brother, Truz. However, he has since changed as much as his three closest friends.
Demin, Truz, Kanem, and Drake are the most feared and respected wolves of Ravenclaw as brothers who have shared sixteen years of loyalty and love. But Demin, the future Alpha, has always put his brothers before himself until his wolf finds his destined mate.

Chapter: What lies beneathCHAPTER FIVE DEMIN Demin had been up since before dawn. Sleep had been eluding him lately. It came when it wanted to, not much more. It left him with long stretches of silence in which every sound in the palace seemed impossibly distant and magnified. Demin leaned against the balcony of his apartment, staring out toward Ravenwood as the sky began to lighten. The forest was silent. Demin's fingers curled around the balcony railing. There was something in the distance, something moving behind the trees. He couldn't see it. He didn't need to. His wolf had seen it. Chapter: Under one roofCHAPTER FOUR REIN Rein woke to the sound of birds outside her window and, for a few seconds, forgot where she was in the world. The room was unfamiliar in the way all good places were. Everything had been placed so beautifully that it seemed untouched. The bed was neatly made, the curtains swayed gently with the morning breeze, and the balcony overlooked a part of the palace grounds through the glass doors. It was then that she remembered. She was home. After years of living far away from Ravenclaw, she was back under the same roof as her brother again. A small smile appeared on her lips. She reached for her camera on the table beside the bed and glanced at the photographs she had managed to take the previous evening. Ravenwood had appeared differently through her lens. Perhaps it was because she was looking at it as an adult now, or perhaps distance had taught her to appreciate things. She had forgotten over the years. Rein went downstairs and into the dining room.
