My ears twitched to the soft moans coming from the room at the end of the long stairs. It’s none of my business right as I have important things to do rather than puck my nose into other people’s affairs.
I was going to walk past as I was too excited to try on my long-awaited bridal clothes. It just got delivered and the joy of seeing the dress again was all over me. I was thrilled I was finally tying the knot with the love of my life.
It was a white-laced gown flowing extensively behind me. I have seen it at the store and tried it on. But it still feels like I haven’t set my eyes on it.
Zoe followed me to the store to pick up the dress and ask the designer for a few alterations. This was to make the dress to my perfect personal taste.
Zoe and I aren’t best friends, she’s my step-sister and we never get along. However, these few weeks have been promising since she picked interest in the wedding preparations. She was ready to be part of my big day.
I kept walking towards my room, but couldn’t neglect the soft moans that were subtly hitting my ears. A big smile plastered my cheeks as I reminisced on my visit to the store with Zoe.
“Oh, goddess! This is so beautiful,” Zoe shrieked.
She was assessing the masterpiece starting from the sleeves to the finish line and hemming. She was so immersed in checking out the dress that she didn’t realize I was beside her.
“Zoe! Come back to the store from your time travel,” I said laughing so hard.
Her reaction had got everyone cracked up. She joined in the laughter upon her realization of what had happened.
“Anny, the dress is divine. I wonder how it’ll look on you,” she said, while I smiled at how happy she was for me.
The store attendant dragged the trolley inside a separate room and urged me to try it. I took a deep breath and went right into the room.
“Everyone shall have their eyes glued to you!”
“I can’t believe this is you, Anny, you look breath-taken,”
“Alex is going to lose it seeing you in this,”
Zoe went on and on about how beautiful the dress looked on me. It got me blushing and thinking maybe I had been too hard on her.
I muttered a thank you to her while blushing over and over.
I was close to the room and the moans had become more prominent. I know it’s bad to peep at people, but I couldn’t explain the affinity that was drawing me closer to the door, the room particularly.
“I love what you are doing with my body”
“That sounds so much like my step-sister Zoe, let me move closer,” I said. The more steps I took closer to the room, the clearer the moans coming into my ears.
She’s probably touching herself again, such a weird step-sister. I couldn’t help but conclude.
Zoe has always been that weird girl. She can’t control her high-sex urge and would rather satisfy herself by herself than ignore it.
I took short short steps, making sure my track made no sound to give me out sneaking in on my stepsister.
“Harder baby!” she said.
I stood at the door fighting the urge to turn away and have a great time trying on my super wedding dress. But, I felt drawn to whatever was happening in Zoe’s room.
Fortunately, the door wasn’t completely closed. It was as if it was left ajar on purpose for me to see the event inside. Looking inside, I saw Zoe on an unidentified man.
“This feels so good” I heard the man say.
She was on top of a man whose face I couldn’t see, but something felt so familiar with the man. It felt like I had known him all my life. “Why do I feel like I know this man” I thought.
My feeling isn’t a justification for bad habits. What if I end up opening the door and it turns out to be a sight I should not see?
I was about to close the door and turn away when I realized their positions were switching swiftly. Now the man was on Zoe and I couldn’t help but analyze the man's body that looked so much like Alex.
Taking a deep breath, I realized my heartbeat was pounding vigorously to the rhythm of his strokes in her.
While trying to collect my thoughts and wake up from my imagination, Zoe muttered some words that gave my puzzle an undeniable answer. But, I wasn’t ready for that.
“Oh Alex, you are doing this right,” she said.
I couldn’t believe the name Zoe called out, it felt so weird. Bewilderment took over me at the name that spilled out from Zoe’s mouth.
Well, my mate isn’t the only Alex at Spring Park, it must be one of those guys Zoe felt attracted to and decided to use to satisfy her spontaneous need.
A part of me was so interested in finding out it wasn’t my own Alex while the other felt I was at the wrong place at the wrong time. I was confused as to what line of action to take.
Out of so much ecstasy, the man had thrown his head back which granted me a few seconds to take in his facial features. The eyebrow was exactly like that of Alex, he rolled back his eyes and I saw the exact color of Alex’s eyes.
Immediately, my eyes fell on his special birthmark at the lower back of his left ear. It was a special mark that can’t be mistaken. I have seen that mark since we were little.
I immediately staggered away from the door and hit my back against the wall that gave space between the ajar door and the stairs. I lifted my palms and facepalmed myself as though I was trying to wash it clean of delusion.
I’m not a fan of alcohol, so I doubt if I just created the scenario I witnessed moments ago in my head out of a hallucination or if it was real. I needed to be sure my sight was not deceiving me at least.
“Oh, I love you, Alex!” I heard her say in between her moans.
“You are interesting baby,” he replied.
After pacing up and down for what seemed like an eternity, I gathered courage that would be enough to make sure whatever I saw and heard in that room was real and not mere imagination.
Painfully and slowly, I opened the door wider than it was. Then, I kept increasing the wideness little by little till the door was now totally opened.
I closed it back gently to be sure I was in the room with the duo and not me traveling in time to an unknown world.
But, I wasn’t mistaken about being in the room with two other people, I wasn’t delusional. I stood right at the center of the room and paid attention to the full view of a passionate and steaming time my mate and step-sister were having.
“A… Al… Alex…?” I stuttered as my eyes almost popped out of its socket.
Leo's POV The weight of her not-so-little hands wrapped around my feet felt fresh.“Who are you?” But she looked at me earnestly.Panting vigorously like a criminal being chased. “F***!” I heard a deep voice ramble for a far“She couldn't have gone too far. Find her and bring her to me!” Fiercely commanding enough to render a weak heart speechless.I had been waiting for Chris when I felt someone's presence.A weak presence and turning back to see, she just slumped down and held my feet.“You are the one they are searching for?”I watched her eyes lit in fear and her head slumped down and rose in confirmation.“Then why are you running from your people?” I paused.“Don't tell me you are a criminal. I punish them, I don't help criminals,”The look on her face didn't waver. She only shook her head negatively. What in the Goddess's name is this? The urge to call on the seeker to come pick up his business infiltrated my being. But her hands going up, clasping together in a plea, and the
She called her maid to bring the baby. “You should say hi to the future Alpha of Spring Pack.”The baby was handed over to me. I knew this was the game and I was ready. She went on and on blabbing, but I had no interest in them- didn't hear a thing. This child has a mark! A mark that shouldn't be here.To be certain I wasn't wrong. “Amma, I think there's something here,” “Chill, Liza. Make sure you act natural,”Amma was right, I'm not alone with the child and Zoe isn't that daft. She could quickly catch on if anything seemed wrong.“Don't conclude with facts,”Amma was treading the path of wisdom. So, I threw my suspicions out into the winds. That way, there's room to think about how to get to the root of my suspicions. “I'll remember to make use of this day judiciously. So in the future, I'd use it to my advantage,” I responded to all her useless talks with a wide grin.“Baby Argon looks so healthy. Thanks be to the Moon Goddess for this huge blessing,”Nothing was as satisfyin
Liza's POV A knock on the door made me exchange glances with Chris.“You invited someone?” I asked to be certain we don't have an uninvited guest in the house.“No… maybe Oriel,” Yeah… that's plausible. She's the most social bird here and judging by how she's been sucking in her room, she might have asked for company.Another not-so-patient knock and I knew I had been keeping our guest waiting. Not for too long, but I guess they have a low patient allowance.I was about to stand when Chris stood firm on his feet and walked straight to the door. For a while, he looked like he didn't know how to process the presence of whoever was outside.“Is everything okay?” I turned from the couch to face him He looked back and firmly redirected his gaze to the ajar door.“Who do you seek?” The voice at the other end of the door wasn't graciously audible, so I couldn't place what they were saying.“You can come in,” Chris said and the next minute? I heard the door close in a ‘thud.’“She's here
Zoe's POV “You should have your sit,”Sit? That's not my problem now.“You can't keep walking around aimlessly like this…”Says who? This is the only way to think properly.“Your tonic is here, Luna-”Without my consent, Sarah walked in and it irked me to the bones. What the actual f***?I stopped and took the tonic with a smile, only to empty the content on her.“You dimwit, did I ask you to come in?”She shivered in hotness as the content kissed her body.“Next time, you'll learn your place.”Sarah? Yes, that same Sarah. But I care not about that information.Right now, I have a pressing matter and it's best she disappears from my sight.Well, gullible and dolt enough, she stayed glued to one spot.“Still waiting… shoo!”She ran out in haste.“That was unnecessary Zoe. She was just doing her work and you'd end up with a headache at this point,”Well, who cares if I end up with a silly headache?I laughed at the thought of her worrying about me.“Mum, this situation is a bigger head
Liza's POV “Why?”“I don't deserve to know?”“You don't trust me enough?”“Am I so unfit to learn of this truth?” His words kept ringing in my head. The look on his face was outrightly foreign.I'd never seen such a thing before. He'd never had such mixed looks, not when he was treated like some poop in those days. His rejection didn't even bring out such expressions from him. But I did.How much more heartbreak am I going to cause this man? He's so mad at me, that he wouldn't even talk to me.“I'm sorry, Liza. Maybe I should have said something,”“Or… maybe I shouldn't have called him there,”“I feel like the cause of this great tumult.” Oriel had been going on day after day to blame herself. But she knows deep down it's not her fault. The mastermind of all these happenings is no other than myself.I flipped the duvet from my body and stood right opposite the mirror. My very own reflection stared back at me mercilessly.“You caused this mess and you're going to get it fixed,”I poi
Derek's POV “I just wanted you to know I don't care about where you stay. It's your well-being I care about. And that of your people,”I can't believe I'm saying this. Her walls of defense went up the moment it came down.“Sylvia, I know you care about your people and that is great. You are so strong and I wonder what would have happened if I had been as brave as you are.”“But don't you think your people will want this too? To be part of a bigger family?”Coming here wasn't to bring this conversation. I had wanted to come and experience what her life felt like. And honestly? I'm not disappointed. These people are amazing and supportive. I understand why she wouldn't leave them behind and take the chance for a better livelihood.“You have no idea how we got here. So you have no right to want to separate us, Derek!” Her voice shook like a tornado and it all dawned on me.I don't even know her story. I have no intimation as to what kind of uproars she has faced.Maybe, I'm just a
