Chapter: 329. THE GODBONE NEEDLE. II.
Emma knew that she stood no chance as she saw how angry the god, she refused to call father glared at her. There was no point in exchanging blows or powers, it would not stop his dark determination.“You could have avoided this carnage!” Grimkeeper yelled as he limped towards her. He was glitching as his form shifted to different forms of skeletal beings. It was hard for him to be under the dome, because he was the infection himself.“I am a fighter, does that not prove that I am your daughter?” Emma replied with a calmness that surprised her.“But what could possibly gain from fighting me?” Grimkeeper asked. “What was the whole point of this?”Emma shrugged. “It is what it is.” She replied.Grimkeeper looked around, “And where is Terra?” he asked.“I think you know,” Emma replied calmly.Grimkeeper grunted in pain and effort as Emma watched him try to contain himself from exploding. “There is no time, Emma, relinquish the Throne to me of everyone dies!”Emma thought of what to do as

Chapter: 328. THE GODBONE NEEDLE.
Emma was surprisingly calm as she ran at full speed on her two legs. She was not going to transform into her wolf to finish this battle with her father. She would utilize all the things she had learnt over the years. She ducked under branches and moved deftly in between large trees as she ran. She needed to get as far away from the pack settlement as possible."Learn from your mistakes, but at the same time, learn from your victory." Steve's words played over and over in her mind. Her limbs locked as she tumbled over and crashed into the wet leaves. She vibrated with pain and shock as she felt electric current go through herShe mentally blocked out the pain and pushed her self to her feet. There was no time to waste. The pain she felt means that Steve had been defeated. She was actually surprised that he had lasted so long against Grimkeeper. She kept on moving and hoped the Steve would survive. She still felt the bond between them intact. She opened up her psychic aura and connecte

Chapter: 327. BLOOD AND GORE
“Red dragon has fallen,” Marcus said to Emma as she entered the war room. “Black lightning from the skies took her down. We have reasons to believe that it was Grimkeeper.”“How is she?” Emma asked calmly.“She is in bad shape, Emma.” Steve said. “Some of the men managed to rescue her.”Emma nodded. “She is alive and that is what matters,” she said. “What is the update on the battle?”“Since we have lost the air advantage, there are more enemies entering the pack.” Marcus replied. “But we can hold them down for a little while.”Steve looked grim but said nothing as he looked at the map of pack. He was thinking of what to do next before his Beta added another bad news.“More enemies have breached the northern flank of the pack,” The Beta reported. His mind was linked to the deltas fighting and shooting.“That place is close to the town and that is where the people are hiding.” Steve said.Emma closed her eyes and made a mental call. Within minutes, two dozen men and women covered head

Chapter: 326. INVADED. II.
They killed themselves in thousands as they crashed into the dome of Sterling Creek. These demons were willing to die for Grimkeeper. Long stayed in the skies in her dragon form and rained sown heavy fire from above. Her dragon fire truly gave Sterling Creek an advantage as she swooped down to breath fire. The snipers were not left out of the action either. Large bullets upon bullets rained down and turned a lot of demon heads into bursting watermelons. The Deltas were the first wave and they fought bravely in their werewolf form.Emma had used her initiative to create a potion that enhanced their strength and their healing. With her vast knowledge of werewolf anatomy, she had created serums that kept them in perfect physical condition and also increased their stamina.Steve and Emma watched the whole thing from their war room at the centre of the Pack with their enhanced sights. The sniper rifles and crossbows were doing an almost perfect job of keeping the monsters out of the dome.

Chapter: 325. INVADED
Emma and Steve watched as an army of the most fearsome and ugly looking creatures surrounded the whole of Sterling Creek. It had the begun and there was no other option but to face what was coming.“There are so many of them,” Sarah breathed in awe and fear.“I guess there is no going back now,” Marcus said with a serious finality in his voice. He was shaken but he did not let it show.“We have to find a way to disable that portal,” Steve said as he zoomed in on the entrance of the portal as more and more demons kept filling out of it.The sight alone was daunting and he knew that today was going to be the deadliest he would ever experience. They watched at the front of the pack line where the dome separated them from the outside world. Finally, Emma saw her father in a dark leather coat walking out with Terra beside him out of the portal before it finally closed.“They intend to die here,” Steve said as he watched.“He wants to talk to us,” Emma said as she watched.“Please do not te

Chapter: 324. WRATH OF THE DARK.
“That was the most defiant thing I have ever witnessed in my life, and I am immortal.” Nyx said in an impressed voice.“She is going to pay dearly for that,” Adam said as he looked at the empty space that his throne used to be on.“I don’t think she is worried about the consequences if her actions, Grim.” Nyx said. “She just challenged you, what are you going to do about it? Nyx asked.Adam grunted as he felt a crushing pain go through him. He knew that there was no more time. His body could no longer hold the whole of him. He needed to buy more time.He forced his growing essence down and sighed in pain and discomfort. “I am out of time,” he growled. “I guess her mother lacked the communication skills to persuade her.”“Well, you know what they say,” Nyx commented. “If you want something done properly, you do it yourself.”He turned to Nyx. “And what have you even done for me ever since you came back from the void?” he challenged her coldly. “You took the body of a succubus and fucke

Chapter: 7: The Journey Begins
My stomach dropped. "Larry, I…” "You wanted to be accepted, didn't you?" His voice was low, meant only for my ears. "You wanted freedom from your daily punishments, from being the pack's scapegoat. This is the price." "I never asked to be your mate." "No." Something flickered in his eyes, pain? Anger? "You didn't. But here we are, little wolf. Both trapped by the same cosmic joke." He released my elbow and addressed the crowd. "In months time. The ceremony will be held at the sacred stones. Every pack member is required to attend." His gaze swept across the assembled wolves. "And I mean every member. No exceptions." The crowd began to disperse, wolves breaking into small groups, their voices rising in heated discussion. I caught fragments of conversation…"traitor's daughter as Luna," "the Alpha has lost his mind," "what will the other packs think?" but Larry's hand on my back propelled me forward, away from the whispers. "Where are we going?" I asked, hating how small my voice

Chapter: Chapter 6: Lost Your Mind
The metallic scent of Jackson's blood still hung in the air as Larry released me from his grip, his silver eyes scanning the assembled pack with lethal precision. My legs trembled beneath me, threatening to give way, but I forced myself to remain standing. I couldn't show weakness now, not when every wolf in the circle was watching, waiting to see if their new Luna would crumble."Does anyone else," Larry's voice cut through the heavy silence like a blade, "wish to question my judgment?"No one moved. No one spoke. Even Beta Marcus had dropped his gaze to the blood-stained earth, his earlier defiance extinguished like a candle in a hurricane.Elder Catherine stepped forward first, her ancient joints creaking as she lowered herself to one knee. "Alpha," her weathered voice carried across the circle, "we acknowledge your strength and your right to choose. The Moon Goddess has spoken through you tonight."One by one, the other Elders followed suit. Elder Thomas, who had lost two sons in

Chapter: Chapter 5: Blood and Bonds
The pack's fighting circle was carved into the earth beneath the full moon, its boundaries marked by ancient stones that had witnessed countless challenges over the centuries. Tonight, they would witness another, one that would determine not just the pack's leadership, but my fate as well.I sat in the place of honor beside the empty Alpha throne, surrounded by wolves whose loyalty was as sharp as their teeth. Every eye in the circle was on me, measuring, judging, waiting to see if I would be their Luna or their next victim.Larry stood at the center of the circle, having stripped down to just his dark jeans. In the moonlight, his body was a work of art,all lean muscle and controlled power, marked with scars that told the story of his rise to leadership. But it was his eyes that held my attention, silver fire that promised death to anyone who threatened what was his.Even if what was his happened to be the daughter of his greatest enemies.Across from him, Jackson Reid was a mountain o

Chapter: Chapter 4: The Beautiful Disaster
Three days into my new life as Larry's mate, I learned that luxury could be its own form of torture. The silk sheets were softer than anything I'd ever touched, but they might as well have been made of thorns when I lay awake each night, hyper-aware of Larry's presence in the bed beside me. He kept to his side with rigid discipline, but through the mate bond, I could feel his wolf's desperate need to claim me completely. The beautiful clothes filled a closet larger than my old quarters, but each elegant dress felt like armor I wore into battle. Because every day brought new psychological warfare, new tests of will between two people who were meant to love each other but had been trained to hate."Eat," Larry commanded, not looking up from his breakfast as I entered the dining room. The table was set with fine china and crystal, laden with more food than I'd seen in months. My stomach cramped with hunger, but I'd learned to be cautious of his gifts. Nothing came without a price."What'

Chapter: Chapter 3: The Claiming
Larry's private quarters were a study in controlled power, dark wood, leather furniture, and floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the pack's territory. It was beautiful, luxurious, and felt exactly like the prison it was meant to be.I stood in the center of his living room, still wearing my mother's too-large dress, while he circled me like a predator deciding where to strike first. The mate bond hummed between us, a constant reminder of the cosmic joke that had bound us together."Shower," he commanded, pointing toward a door I assumed led to his bathroom. "You smell like blood and defeat."The casual cruelty in his voice should have stung, but I was learning to read the emotions flowing through our bond. Beneath his cold exterior, Larry was fighting a war with himself, his wolf's desperate need to care for me battling against eight years of carefully cultivated hatred."And then what?" I asked, not moving toward the bathroom. His eyes flashed with silver fire. "Then you learn wha

Chapter: Chapter 2: The Gathering Storm
The pack's ceremonial grounds buzzed with an energy that made my skin crawl. Wolves gathered in clusters, their voices a low hum of anticipation mixed with something darker, bloodlust, perhaps, or the collective satisfaction of watching the condemned meet their fate.I stood at the edge of the clearing, wrapped in the only clean dress I owned,a simple brown thing that had been my mother's. It was too big for my frame, hanging loose where it should have curved, but it was the closest thing to dignity I could manage."Well, well," a familiar voice purred behind me. "Look what crawled out of the servants' quarters."I turned to face Zara Nightingale, the pack's golden girl and Larry's former lover. Her auburn hair cascaded over her shoulders like liquid fire, and her emerald dress hugged curves that had never known hunger or hardship."Zara," I acknowledged with a slight nod, refusing to rise to her bait."I heard about your little performance today," she said, stepping closer with predat
