"Miss Hai Rin, Mr. Chan, was looking for you in his room right now." A voice from the intercom was interrupting Hai Rin, who is currently busy with her paperwork.

She sighs before she answers it with 'Okay.' She walked toward her boss's office with a notebook in her hand. She knocks on the door before a man's voice asks her to come in.

"Sir, are you looking for me?" She asks with a dull tone. A bit irritated when she was busy with her pile work and got disturbed by his call.

"Ah, yes, I want to know more details about your dealing with the customer from Genka company. How is it going? Is he okay with the price and the product?" A tall man who's wearing a navy blue suit and white shirt with a short hair look at Hai Rin with a deep gaze.

She ignores the gaze of the man. How could she return the gaze when she knows that her boss already had a girlfriend and his girlfriend is a super annoying one.

"Mr. Genji said he can accept the term, and our product seems to be just as what he wanted. He will deposit the payment this afternoon, and he requests to send the item to his warehouse tomorrow morning. Uh- He also said he might want to repeat the order with the same quantity for the next three to four months." Hai Rin's eyes fix on her notebook, looking for Mr. Genji's details order.

"That's good. So tonight will you accompany me to the event? I got an invitation from my friend. So I thought it will benefit our company if you tag along. You are so skillful when dealing with people." He smiles, and he looks quite handsome.

"I'm sorry, sir, I have to decline. Tonight I need to visit my mother and run an errand for my grandmother. I hope you'll understand my circumstance." she refuses politely.

"I see... It can't be helped then. If you need anything, just call me okay?"

"Yes, sir." after that, she walked back to her cubicle and continue her work.

Not long after, she got a call from an unknown number.

"Hello?"

"Is this Madam Hai Yun relative?" a female voice coming through the phone.

"Yes. Who is this?"

"I'm calling from the Princeton Hospital, I want to inform you that Madam Hai Yun involved in a car accident and now she's getting treatment at our hospital." Before the nurse could finish her sentence, she immediately put her things into her handbag and rush to the hospital.

20 minutes later, she arrived at the emergency room. She asked the nurse at the counter for her grandmother's details before she sprints to room 801.

She slowly opened the door and saw a few doctors surrounding around her grandmother's bed, who's lying on the hospital bed. Her conditions are quite critical based on the look of all the tube from her mouth and nose. Her hand also had a few lines of medicine tubes. Hai Rin's eyes started to wells up after seeing her grandmother's condition.

"Excuse me, miss. Are you this patient's family?" A young woman doctor asks her when she spots her entering the room.

"Yes. I'm this patient's granddaughter."

"May I speak with you privately?" Hai Rin just nodded and walked out of the bedroom with that female doctor.

"Miss, let me explain your grandmother's condition, ermm..no, I'll say it straight with you. She suffers from a blood clot in her brain vessel. If we don't perform the surgery now, it will risk her life and resulting in..death. With your grandmother's age, it would be perilous if we delay the surgery."

"What is the percentage of her surviving if we perform the surgery?"

"More or less, 30%." Even if it 1%, Hai Rin will never give up to try and save her only grandmother.

"How much does it cost to perform this surgery, doc?"

"30 thousand." Hearing the costs, Hai Rin pinches her temple. It's quite a lot!

"How... How long is her time limit?" She trembled a bit when she asked this question. Thinking of how can she manage to find 30 thousand in one night?

"24 hours max. If your grandma didn't go into the operating room before that, I'm afraid you have to..let her go."

"Okay. Thanks, doc. I'll try to find that money. I want you to standby her room for the surgery first. I'll be back in a few hours." She dashes out from the hospital after she's done talking with the doctor.

She takes out her phone from her handbag and starts to search for all the contacts on her phone. One by one name passes by from the contact book until it stopped at 'Chan Wei' name. She sighs before she starts dialing his number.

A few moments later, he picks up her phone.

"Yes, Hai Rin? Is there anything you need?"

"Ermm…yes, sir, can I borrow your money around 30 thousand? My grandmother had an accident this morning, and she needs to perform surgery within 24 hours. So I really..." before she could finish her sentence Chan Wei said.

"Hai Rin, Hai Rin cool down. Let's meet up at the cafe in front of the building in an hour, okay?"

An hour later, Hai Rin sits inside a cafe opposite with her workplace building. Her complexion is quite pale since this morning after talking with the doctor. Her hair also already mess up. Just when she turned her head to looks herself in the mirror in front of her, cold water runs down from her head to her blouse.

She gasped in shock and turns her head behind her. It's Joanne! Chan Wei's girlfriend. Joanne's face turns beet red maybe because she was angry with Hai Rin's presence.

"You shameless women! You knew he had a girlfriend and yet you still chasing after him?! You bitch!" She yelled her heart out in front of many people.

Hai Rin slaps her in the face, and that moment Chan Wei also walks inside the cafe. Really bad timing though!

His face darkens a bit when he saw what Hai Rin do to his girlfriend.

"You!" Joanne stared at her while her palm was covering her burning cheek.

"Hai Rin! Joanne! Stop this right now!" Chan Wei walked over and held Joanne's face gently try to see her red cheek.

"Hai Rin, how dare you slapping her? You knew who she is to me, right?" he asks furiously.

"I'm sorry, but it's not like what you think, Sir." Hai Rin tries to explain the situation. Can't he see her wet blouse right now?

"Dear, she slaps me just because I ask her nicely. She even tries to threaten me, that's why I pour the water to her. Boo-hoo.." Joanne starts her drama and crying like she was the victim. While Hai Rin wants to open her mouth to clear the misunderstanding, Chan Wei cut her word and said arrogantly.

"Hai Rin, you're fired! I thought you're a decent and a nice person, who would have thought that you just want to use me? You ask me to lend you some money, and this is what I get in return? How dare you hurt my girlfriend now. You're so shameless, Hai Rin. I'm so disappointed with you." After he said that, he walks away with her girlfriend out of the cafe.

A few onlookers watch their drama, and some of them even take the video. She who's still standing there pinch her space between her eyebrow. Now she's jobless and no money to help her grandmother who's critical in the hospital. Great! What kind of punishment is this?

At the corner of the cafe, there's a man who was wearing a black 3 pieces suit staring at Hai Rin with an exciting idea on his mind. He saw the entire drama before and listen well to their conversation too. He soon made up his mind and walk over from his seat and sat opposite her.

"If the money that you want, I can help you," He said with a low yet magnetic voice.
