17. Waking Up To A Different Side.

The smell of fresh wood was spread around when she came back in her senses.

Pidge slowly opened her eyes just to look around.

She was in a room, laying comfortably on a warm bed...the heater giving her warmth.

She looked around and found that she was somewhere safe...but who brought her here?

Her head was pounding heavily as she tried to get up from the bed.

"Easy, love..." there came a familiar voice made her turn her neck to him.

He walked forward gently placing the tray on the bedside table.

"Dylan..." she spoke weakly.

"How are you feeling?" he asked worriedly.

"What am I doing here?" she asked looking him in the eyes.

"You had a fever...so I brought you here," he answered honestly.

"Dylan, this is not right. We cannot meet now that we have broken..." she was immediately interrupted by him saying, "No, we haven't broken up, Pidge. And we never will..."
