Chapter 2: Saved

Beatrice's POV

I was already in an empty room when I opened my eyes. My head was still spinning, so I closed my eyes to calm myself and tried to recall what just happened last time. Eyes opened wide as I remembered everything.

“Damn!” I screamed, trying to destroy the cage that they put me in. My heart is throbbing, while my legs are trembling out of fear.

“We're locked in here, Beatrice.” Trisha uttered, which made me sit down on the ground.

“We have to get out of here, Trisha. They shouldn't locked us in here because of the crime we didn't do!” I anxiously uttered to my wolf, but she just sighs.

I could feel that she's losing hope now.

“We didn't kill Alpha Sebastian, Trisha. You know that. He was the one who almost raped me. We shouldn't be—”

“Liar!”

Someone screamed that made me stop talking and my eyes turned at her. I could feel my heart pounding so fast as I saw her face. The face that seemed familiar to me.

“You killed him, bitch!” Ara, Alpha Sebastian's obsessed fling, walks in my direction with some pack guards on her back. They enter my cage and she grabs my wrist, which makes me flinch in pain.

“You killed my man, Beatrice, and I will make sure you will pay for it!”

She pushed me hard and I almost kissed the floor. My knees hit the hard cement which makes me teary-eyed out of pain.

“I didn't do that. Alpha Sebastian was the one who almost raped me!”

Ara got mad from my response. She grabbed my hair and the guards from her back didn't stop her from doing it to us.

“You were there when he was killed and the pack guards found you there. There are no other people there aside from you, Beatrice. You're the killer and stop denying it!” Ara screamed at my face.

“A-Ara, please… I am not a killer and I will never be!”

There's no way that I will accept the accusations that they are throwing against me. It will never happen. I will never accept the crime that I never committed.

“Stop denying it. You're caught in the act, bitch.” One of the guards had uttered, making me bite my bottom lips.

Ara, who was still mad at me, slapped me in the face which made me fall to the ground. Her slap is so strong that it almost blew me away and it's painful. It almost consumed the remaining strength that I have in my body.

She started kicking me endlessly and I was there, enduring all the things she did to me. Ara is too mad that she's wanting to kill me now. I could feel my body in pain, but I didn't give up on it. She started torturing me like I was an animal and the pack guards were also helping her. They come together to punish me for a crime that I have never done.

“This served you well, Beatrice!” Ara held my chin and forced me to look at her.

“A-Ara, stop…” I begged her, but she just smirked.

“This will never be enough from what you did to Alpha Sebastian. And I have good news for you.” Ara uttered and I know that this isn't good news.

I know that they will do something against me and I'm about to lose hope now.

“Ara…” I paused and continued, “I don't want to die, please.”

But Ara laughs like an evil after she heard what I have said. She even grasped my chin again and shot me with her deathly glare.

“The pack wolves are wanting you dead, Beatrice. They want you dead tomorrow and you can no longer escape death, darling.”

It seemed like heaven and the earth were colliding as I heard those words that I have never wished to hear.

I'm losing hope. Ara is right. I couldn't escape death. Despite how I defended myself to them, they didn't want to listen to me. They didn't want to know the whole truth that I didn't kill their alpha and someone had trapped me.

Ara and the pack wolves didn't give me any more chances to defend my side and I also gave up. I give up on defending myself because when I do that, they will still torture me. My body was aching from the torture they did to me. I'm starving. I'm thirsty. But all of that was nothing to me because it's my heart who's in pain right now. My parents didn't save me. No one will save me and maybe it's time for me to give up. It's time for me to accept that I will be executed tomorrow for the crime that I didn't do.

“Trisha…” I called my wolf's name but she's never responded back. Trisha is in pain and I could feel it.

The tears that I was keeping from earlier fell down. My heart was screaming in pain, so I leveled my legs to my face, so I could hug it to make myself feel better. However, it didn't work out. I was still in pain. My heart is still screaming in pain.

I'm still crying when I suddenly heard footsteps coming my way. There are three men walking in my way and they all look too scary, so I step back.

“W-Who are you?” I asked, but they never listened. They opened my cage and took me out of that cage.

My heart throbbing so fast because of what they did, but not until I realized everything.

“Is my execution schedule changed now? They wanted to kill me right now?” I asked, but they still remained silent.

They continued on walking and all the werewolves of the pack had turned their eyes on us. No one speaks and no one stops these three men from dragging me out.

It's starting to scare me out. I just shut my mouth because after all, I realized that I shouldn't waste my time on talking to them because my life will end in a moment.

The three men who took me out from the caged put me inside a luxury car and it's making my eyebrows to raised.

I was confused.

“Where do you exactly want to bring me?” I asked them, and they looked at me at once.

One of them sighed and he suddenly smiled.

“You're saved for tonight.” He responded, which makes me shocked.

I stuttered, “W-What d-did you say…”

“Just shut your freaking mouth, wolf, or we will kill you now.”

And then I zip my mouth as the other one mentioned those words. I decided to keep my mouth shut while observing exactly where they wanted to bring me, until I noticed that we were heading out of Alpha Sebastian's pack.

We just entered the wide forest and I was about to ask about it when I suddenly noticed that our car stopped from running right in the middle of nowhere.

“P-Please, d-don't kill me…” I begged them, but they just furrowed their brows.

They pulled me out of the car and brought me in front. In front of a man who is waiting for us. It seemed like time had stopped from moving as my eyes laid onto him. The way he looks at me, he's melting me.

Damn. I wasn't expecting this. I wasn't expecting that someone was exactly waiting here in the forest who looks like him.

The moment he spoke in my face, I could feel my whole body froze and there's no words coming out of my mouth.

“You are safe, little wolf.”

But before his presence consumed my senses, I was still able to call him to his name.

“Alpha Tobias,” I uttered in confidence while heart pounding so fast like a drum and then he walked in my direction, which froze me once again.
