ONE-HUNDRED-TWELVE
"Are we staying here tonight?"
I look around the room; I didn't know we had rooms like this in the city
"Yes, and No! We are here at the moment just to change and then we are going out again. Then it is up to you Butterfly, we could either come back here or we can head home. It will be your choice."
I watch as Phoenix walks into the closet; he comes back out a few minutes later wearing a normal shirt and pants. I watch as he drapes his jacket on the bed. He then moves back into the closet. I still haven't moved as I have just been mesmerised by watching his movements. I'm not pulled out of it until he speaks
"There is a change of clothes in the closet for you, so you can be a little more comfortable for the rest of the night."
I nod and make my way slowly into the closet. I remove my jacket and then my dress, hanging them both up next

H POV After I make sure that Scarlett is inside the SUV I shut the door and get into the front, I only half listen to the chatter between Mike and Scarlett as I go over what Mike told me about my princess, how we couldn't let her drink anything with alcohol in it. Could it be Phoenix's, Maverick's, or mine? Just imagine the conflict between the two. If it was one of ours, not his, would he be able to forgive her for having another male's baby again? PHOENIX POV I had a restless sleep; I haven't had one as bad since before Scarlett started sneaking into my room when she was ten. Some of that was from her nightmares and some was my restlessness. Before Scarlett, I used to go days, if not weeks, without sleeping. It has been worse since the day at the picnic when Max reminded us of how and why Sebastian's sister and Dominic's parents were killed. My mother wasn't my father's true mate, but they were mated lovers. They had chosen each other. I used to smile every time my mother would tell me the story of how they met and how she fell in love with him. I know I told Mike that I would be back by dawn, but I think I will stay here in the city for a few days, first continue with my hunting and then head back. H POV Scarlett's training is going really well. She is a quick learner; we have been here for two months now and she is putting everything I tell her to good use plus adding in what everyone else has taught her as well. There have been a few occasions that she has nearly put me on my back and kept me there, normally when a female gets the better of me, especially when fighting is involved, my temper is really hard to control but with Scarlett, I am actually enjoying her slowly getting better than me. She will give me a real good fight when her mystery attacker shows up again.
