Chapter 128

She carried them to their room and helped them take their bath. After that, she helped them lay on their bed. She told them a bedtime story till they drifted to sleep. By the time she was done, she was already exhausted.

She stood up from the chair she was sitting on and moved towards her daughters who were asleep. She kissed their forehead and walked out of the room.

She walked inside her room and locked the door. She then sat on the ground and put her hands on her head as tears slipped down her cheeks. Memories of everything Alfred did to her came running into her head like flash.
