Robert Keene was seated in his garden enjoying the view with a newspaper in his hands. A chocolate lacquered coffee stool with a glass full of wine and bottle of Hardy's under it. He thumbed through the pages and stopped to sip from his glass once in a while. His wife Norah later joined him from the super active house. It was in this garden if not the bedroom where they did their usual talk.

After five hours of deep unconscious sleep, Lewis came around feeling lighter than he had walked in that morning. He was also feeling so hungry thank God the maid who was entrusted with nursing him had prepared some fresh hot dogs and a glass of lemon juice, he gobbled up two hot dogs and then sipped the juice breathing heavily.Reality started to sink in. Lewis angrily kicked the door open, pushed her in the room and shut it with a bang. The Woodley family dinner was underway. Lewis was unusually quiet and that was because Elsie had not yet come downstairs. And somehow no one was asking about her almost as though they all knew where she was except him. What Frank had taken as a moment of weakness, a kiss of confusion that only happened because she was sad was somehow taking a toll on him. It was another fine Monday morning at the Woodley manor. Everyone was awake and active the children were preparing for school and the adults for work. Despite the small altercation with Lewis the Weekend had been great and it was not going to affect the vigor with which they were going to approach their various duties. That evening after work Elsie quickly went to check on George, she wanted permission to go run an errand, but we both know she wanted to go for that meeting with the blackmailer, sounds awkward and stupid but after thinking deliberately about the whole thing she decided to rise to the occasion and face her own demons, nothing was going to happen if she just sat there and expected her problems to disappear. All the Woodley’s except Lewis were enjoying a glass of milk in the parlor. It was a quarter to seven a bit late but you couldn't blame any of them who didn’t have a driver like Tom that knew how to beat the busy traffic. Surprisingly even George himself came in late, they found Elsie at home already helping the kids with homework, something none of them could do. It was one big happy family, and as the banter got more interesting, Joe stole Elsie away from the crowd. It had been long since the two of them had a chat, now that she knew him well she wasn't scared of facing him.
