Lewis angrily kicked the door open, pushed her in the room and shut it with a bang. Elsie was left standing in the middle of the room massaging her right hand that moments back was in the grasp of his, shaking with fear, tears were already rolling down her cheeks even before he said anything. Not for long because it was coming, you could tell from how he was seething with rage pacing up and down the room mumbling to himself and hopefully punching sense into his head instead of boiling with anger.

The Woodley family dinner was underway. Lewis was unusually quiet and that was because Elsie had not yet come downstairs. And somehow no one was asking about her almost as though they all knew where she was except him. What Frank had taken as a moment of weakness, a kiss of confusion that only happened because she was sad was somehow taking a toll on him. The moment the two of them were separated he started thinking about it, every minute he spent around her was making him fall in love every day, for some reason he not only enjoyed dancing and going to work but also dancing with her, talking to her and sometimes just staring at her dancing. It was another fine Monday morning at the Woodley manor. Everyone was awake and active the children were preparing for school and the adults for work. Despite the small altercation with Lewis the Weekend had been great and it was not going to affect the vigor with which they were going to approach their various duties. Feeling left out was Lewis because whilst everyone was busy getting ready for work he was still in his pajamas looking on, he also felt jealous but again he had no one to blame except himself...not exactly what he thought. That evening after work Elsie quickly went to check on George, she wanted permission to go run an errand, but we both know she wanted to go for that meeting with the blackmailer, sounds awkward and stupid but after thinking deliberately about the whole thing she decided to rise to the occasion and face her own demons, nothing was going to happen if she just sat there and expected her problems to disappear. All the Woodley’s except Lewis were enjoying a glass of milk in the parlor. It was a quarter to seven a bit late but you couldn't blame any of them who didn’t have a driver like Tom that knew how to beat the busy traffic. Surprisingly even George himself came in late, they found Elsie at home already helping the kids with homework, something none of them could do. It was one big happy family, and as the banter got more interesting, Joe stole Elsie away from the crowd. It had been long since the two of them had a chat, now that she knew him well she wasn't scared of facing him.
