ENTANGLED Chapter 1
Yellow golden rays of the sun penetrated through the sheath of the alternating black and blue silk curtains, the melodies from birds outside and the fresh air hitting her nostrils woke up Elsie that morning. Lewis was once a one-stop man for Elsie. When their love was novel he made her feel like she could get everything she wanted in a man in him. He had all those qualities that turned her on besides money and his remarkable prowess under the sheets he was funny, smart, considerate and caring and above all loving- he reminded her how much she meant to him every chance he got and complemented her hair, dress code, cooking among other small things that melted her heart and she reciprocated the same by trying to be the best a one-stop woman for him. After lunch at the five star, world renown Westbrook resort the girls would later go on to a shopping spree in town. Again, not Elsie's intention but you'll be a fool to underestimate Bella's persuasion skills. She knew how to get anything from her best friend. Elsie and her driver did not exchange a word with each other. But when they got to the busy CBD of Westbrook city they eventually had to talk yet the two were scared of each other. It was the longest she had even taken walking from the east wing of the Woodley mansion to the north which was where George's office and bedroom were. The other three wings were divided among the sons with a common dining and living rooms at the center. The aerial view of the mansion looked like some sort of a cross. Each wing had a minimum of five bedrooms, one master with its own bathroom and a walk in wardrobe, a kitchen and a living room of its own. The other thing they shared was the gym room, library and music room. She stood in silence behind that well varnished mahogany door for a minute, took a deep breath and went for the Knock but she couldn't. Elsie retracted her hand. that saturday evening, their room was smelling strawberries when she got in from their little chinwag with the girls. ruby red and white rose petals on the marbled floor and the bed on which there was a red velvet dress, candles lighting up the entire room. lewis was a once in a blue moon hopeless romantic but when he chose to he surprised her and came up with something way better than the previous one. a note was attached to the dress with instructions. she picked it up and skimmed through it a warm smile escaped her lips as she started to undress."okay, where are the shoes?" she asked looking around, "they must be somewhere"there was another note stuck on their large rectangular dressing mirror mounted on her side of the bed that was in the middle of the room. she read through it and tip toed to the walk in wardrobe as though she was walking on eggshells. at the far end was the show rack. it was not hard to spot a shiny golden pair of hills among her pairs.
