Chapter 5

As I finish the remainder of my hot chocolate, the sound of the glass doors opening have me quickly looking back to see Levi walking into the room.

"Hello, Love." he greets Salem, stepping towards him and wrapping his arms around him from behind.

"Lee, perfect timing! I was just about to take Mila to go see the lake. Want to join us?" Salem chirps happily, as he spun around in Levi's arms.

I watch as he leans up to peck Levi on the lips and immediately frown as I catch Levi's eyes narrowing in on me oppose to being focused on Salem.

"Already using your little gifts on my man are we, Minx?" Levi hisses at me, making my eyes widen in surprise.

"Absolutely not! I don't even know how to use these gifts!" I defend, mortified at the accusation.

He chuckles deeply at my reaction, clearly content with the reaction he has brought out of me.

"Levi, leave her be. Are you coming along with us or not?" Salem says, shooting him a look that has him rolling his eyes and giving a small huff.

"Yes, I'm coming, love. I can't leave you alone with this little minx. She 'll corrupt you." Levi replies in a somewhat teasing tone, making Salem roll his eyes at him.

"Believe me, love. Once you find out whose marked her, you'll understand." Levi states more sternly, making me frown deeper in return.

"I don't care who marked her. She is still my friend and our new roommate. You will be nice to her." Salem retorts, and I bite my lip to stop myself from smiling at him for standing up for me.

Part of me wanted to long for something more than just friendship... and not just with him, but with Levi to.

Gods... the things I could do with the two of them...

I shake my head, as I try to rid myself from the lustful forbidden thoughts flooding my mind.

"Fine." Levi grumbles, turning my attention back to them.

"Stay with her for a moment while I go let Lucien know?" Salem asks him.

"I can go..." Levi starts to reply, but Salem shakes his head.

"I will. You stay." Salem says, before turning and leaving before Levi can even debate it.

"You may be gifted to wrap those around you around your finger, but I'm watching you, little minx." Levi tells me, as he takes Salem's seat and narrows his eyes at me.

"Or..." I begin to say, as I lean towards him.

"Maybe..." I murmur seductively, reaching a finger out and trailing it down his clearly rippled chest beneath his shirt.

"People just like me for me." I murmur softly just below his ear, before pulling away and sliding off the stool to take my dishes to the sink.

Just as he opens his mouth to respond, Salem steps back into the room with a wide smile.

"Let's go!" he announces happily, and we both make our way over to him.

They lead me down another staircase before taking me out a sliding glass door that leads out onto a pathway made of stone. We follow it from the house straight to a large, beautiful crystal-clear lake, tucked in between two large mountains.

"Wow! This is literally breath taking!" I comment, feeling completely amazed at the beauty around me.

"Come on." Salem states, taking my hand and leading me to a thin strip of land leading out to the middle of the lake.

I stay behind Salem as he keeps his hand outstretched behind him to keep a grip on me as he leads us to the end of the narrow strip which opens into a large circle.

"I could stay here forever." I murmur blissfully, making Salem chuckle.

"Now you see why we chose this place." he retorts, and I nod my head without taking my eyes off the water.

"How about a closer look?" Levi suggests, and before I can respond he scoops me up into his arms and begins walking into the water.

"Levi! Put me down!" I yell, struggling to break free from his grasp.

"Levi!" Salem calls out in a panic.

"She's fine, Love! Relax." he yells back, continuing to take us further in.

"Time for a swim." he states, and as I open my mouth to try and tell him I can't, I feel my body go flying and Salem yelling in the background before my body is engulfed into the water.

Thankfully the water is both calm and warm and is overall a much better experience then when I went into the ocean. I hold my breath and open my eyes despite the discomfort and try to figure out how to push myself back up to the surface while keeping calm.

I vaguely make out a figure coming towards me from above and the thought of what could be lurking within these waters has my heart in a panic. Within seconds though, I quickly recognize Levi's appearance as he reaches out towards me and I eagerly grab onto him, wrapping my arms around him as he swims us back up to the surface.

I suck in a sharp breath as soon as my head emerges from the water and within a minute, Levi is walking us back towards the land.

"Oh my gods, Angel! Are you okay?" Salem panics, and I look over my shoulder to see him rushing towards us.

"I'm fine, Salem. Levi came just in time." I reply, giving him a reassuring smile.

I watch as he lets out a long sigh of relief before narrowing his eyes back up at Levi.

"I'm sorry." Levi apologies, as he gently sets me down into the shallow water.

"I didn't realize you didn't know how to swim... I thought all humans did." he explains, and I nod my head in understanding.

"All is forgiven. I'm immortal now, so it's not like I would've died, right?" I reply, with a playful smile.

"Exactly! See, love!" Levi grins, looking back at Salem.

"How about we head back? I think Crimson wants to take you shopping." Salem suggests changing the topic.

"What are we waiting for then? Lead the way!" I reply excitedly.

A shopping spree and some one on one time with Crimson was the perfect way to finish up the day.

Salem takes my hand, and I follow him out of the water with Levi hot on my heels as we make our way back to the house. As soon as we step inside, Salem leaves me and Levi at the door before going and grabbing some towels and bringing them back for us.

"Follow me. Crimson said you can use her bathroom to shower before you go." he tells me, and I nod my head before following him down a long hallway, through a lounge area with a bar and into another small hallway with two doors.

"Crimson will be here in a few minutes, just go through the door on the right and that's the bathroom." Salem says, leading me into her room.

Not wanting to get her floor wet, I quickly say goodbye to the boys before rushing over to the bathroom, barely getting time to take in her bedroom. I hop straight into the shower and get myself all cleaned up before wrapping myself into a thick plush towel.

I open the door to see Crimson sitting on her hot pink bed, with a playful smirk on her lips as she held a pile of clothes on her lap.

"Hello, Kitten. I have some clothes for you to wear until we get to the mall. Once we get there, you can do all the shopping you want so you have your own wardrobe here." she tells me, standing up and setting the pile down on the bed.

"I'll be waiting out by the bar for you." she finishes, and all I can do is quickly thank her before she steps out of the room.

I quickly pull on the short leather skirt and snug black and pink corset, finishing up with a pair of knee-high black heel boots before stepping out of her room and into the bar room.

"Very sexy." she purrs, trailing her eyes up and down my body before stepping towards me and grabbing my hand.

"Time to shop. I hope you're ready." she grins.

"Born ready." I retort with a smirk.
