Sometimes It's A Smile

Purity watched as Johnathan threw a wave out the van’s window and drove off. She was nervous about being left in Tener’s care but decided she could fend for herself by turning away from him and heading straight into the kitty café.

Small mews from the kittens in a small enclosed sitting area reached her ears, and the smell of baked goods and tea filled her nose.

A standing sign greeted her and read, “Find your seat, lift your feet, and get cozy. Our fluffy friends will find their way to you. They are well behaved and will let you enjoy your meal in peace (All cooked breakfast is chef’s choice, baked items are created fresh every morning.).”

Purity giggled because at that moment, a large, short-haired tabby rubbed against her legs and meowed loudly, demanding attention.

“Awe, aren’t you precious? Come here, big guy,” Purity cooed as she picked up the tabby to cuddle him.
