CHAPTER 23

Isaiah's gaze fell on Zoey's face and seeing her reaction gave him the satisfaction he wanted so he went on. "The lady I came in with is my fiancee, as we are set to get married soon." He dropped the bomb and that made Zoey's heart drop down to her stomach because she wasn't expecting the news.

She wasn't expecting the sudden marriage announcement. He shouldn't be announcing their marriage, that would only make things worse.

She wanted to scream at him from where she stood, but that would be embarrassing to her and of course, people were there and that wouldn't be the right thing to do at all.

"She has brought meaning to my life since we started dating and now, we are about to profess our love forever to each other." he continued.

The spotlight came on her and the cameras were made to face her. Zoey felt her leg wiggle, as she tried to avoid the gaze of the people around but there was nothing she could do. No matter where she turned, people were staring.

Isaiah went on with his speech
