เข้าสู่ระบบIvan’s POV
I left the cash on the nightstand and closed the door without looking back.
That’s the rule. It always has been. No mornings, No names. No awkward daylight conversations where someone pretends last night meant more than a mutual escape.
I always leave cash. Cash makes it clean and honest. Everyone knows exactly what they paid for and what they got.
By the time the elevator hits the lobby, she’s already supposed to be a memory.
Except she isn’t.
I step into my penthouse at 4:52 AM, the city is still dark outside the floor to ceiling windows. The place is exactly how I like it, cold, precise and empty. I shower off the scent of whiskey and sex, but the ghost of her stays on my skin anyway. Warm, floral and dangerous.
I pull on a fresh shirt, pour black coffee, and open my laptop.
The numbers are a bloodbath.
Two billion gone with Yamamoto’s withdrawal. Three more deals gone radio silent overnight. The board is drafting emergency motions and my PR team sent a seventeen point crisis memo at 3 AM like seventeen bullet points could fix the fact that my past just detonated my future.
I handle it cold and methodical. Emails answered. Calls made. Damages contained.
Until I lift my wrist to check the time and catch the faint trace of her perfume still clinging there.
My fingers freeze on the keyboard.
That scent. The low Spanish curse she breathed against my ear. The way her tight little body clenched around me when she came. The sharp gasp when I first pushed inside her.
I set the coffee down harder than I mean to.
*Forget it.*
That was one anonymous, transactional night. The exact kind I’ve perfected because it requires nothing and leaves nothing behind.
I opened another report and read the same line three times then closed it.
The feel of her nails tracking down my back, her legs locked around my waist, and that broken moan she made when I filled her distracted me.
The memory refuses to stay buried.
My phone rings at nine. Then again at nine fourteen and again at nine twenty two.
The board chair wants an emergency call. My legal team wants a statement approved. Three journalists have sourced my personal cell somehow and I'm adding that security breach to the list of fires currently burning through my morning.
I handle them in order. Cold, precise, and efficient. I give the board chair thirty minutes and a roadmap. I approve a modified statement. I have my Alex block the journalist numbers and trace the leak.
This is manageable. I've survived worse.
My phone rings again.
*Reginald.*
“Oh God” I said as I let it ring twice then I picked up.
"Hello, Grandpa."
"Do you see what is happening?" His voice lands with the particular weight of a man who has been watching something go wrong for days and waited until he had the full picture before speaking. "We have lost important deals because of the life you live."
*The life you live.*
Not *the tape.* or *the scandal.* The life. Like this was always coming and the tape was just the delivery mechanism.
"Grandpa, I will sort this out. I am handling it."
"And how has that been going?" He took a pause, not a cruel one, just honest. "You know the only solution to this."
I stand up from my desk and move to the window. Thirty floors down, the city is going about its business without any awareness that my grandfather is on the phone constructing a cage out of love and good intentions. "Gramps, it hasn't gotten to that. I will—"
"Ivan. You can only hit a scandal with a bigger news"
His voice drops. Quieter. Like he's not arguing anymore and he's already past the point of negotiation.
"You have thirty days. Marry someone suitable, or the will changes and you lose everything." A beat. "I won't watch you waste your life and end up alone."
"Grandpa, this is just-"
The line goes dead.
I stand there with the phone against my ear, the city spread out below me and the silence where his voice just was.
*How the hell am I supposed to do that?*
The question sits in my chest without an answer. I have thirty days to find a wife. A solution to a problem that is also somehow supposed to fix something else, something older and quieter that Reginald has been watching with worried eyes for years.
I stare at nothing.
Then I call Alex.
He picks up on the second ring. "Ivan?"
"The firm," I say. "The one you mentioned last night about contract marriages."
A beat. "Yeah?"
"Set it up." I turn from the window. "Find me a wife."
Alex goes quiet for exactly two seconds, surprise i think but quickly buried. "With the way they work I should have a shortlist in three weeks."
" Two."
"Two," he agrees, and I can hear him already moving. "I'll send you the vetting criteria they use and-"
"Just find someone suitable. Clean background, no complications, no press connections." I pause. "Someone who needs the arrangement as much as I do. I need a woman who is ready to start a fucking family"
"Understood."
“Thanks” with that I ended the call.
The penthouse is very quiet. But my phone isn’t.
And underneath all of it, buried under the board, the lawyers and the thirty day countdown is something else. Something faint and stubborn that keeps refusing to file itself away where I put it.
That thing is Her. My mind keeps playing over her warm skin, her touches and Spanish on her tongue. The specific sound she made when she stopped being careful.
I close the laptop.
*Gosh what is wrong with me?*
Why can’t she leave my head?
Vals PovThe ring felt heavy on my finger.I stood beside Ivan in front of the small crowd of carefully selected guests and press, forcing a smile while cameras flashed around us. Mrs. Ivan West. The words still sounded fake in my head even as the officiant had pronounced them real. My simple white dress hugged my body a little too closely and I kept wondering if people could already tell I was pregnant.Ivan’s hand rested possessively on my lower back. Every time his thumb brushed my spine I felt it between my legs. My body was a traitor. Even after everything last night and this morning I still reacted to him like a live wire. The kiss at the end of the ceremony had not been gentle. He had pulled me close in front of everyone and kissed me like he owned me. Deep and hungry. I had kissed him back because I had to. Because the world was watching. But my nipples had hardened and heat had pooled low in my belly anyway. Now the reception was a blur of fake congratulations and sharp quest
Ivan's POVI watched her from the doorway as she slept.Valentina lay curled up in the middle of my king sized bed, the silk sheet barely covering her naked body. Her dark hair spilled across the pillow like ink, and even in sleep her brows were furrowed. She looked exhausted. Beautiful. And completely mine.Last night had been a mistake in many ways. I should have told her everything before I touched her. But the moment I had her against that window, the moment she moaned my name and clenched around me, all my control had shattered. She was fire and fury and everything I had been craving since that drunken night two months ago.I stepped into the room quietly and set a cup of ginger tea on the nightstand. The pregnancy. My child. The thought still sent a strange warmth through my chest that I wasnt ready to examine too closely. My phone vibrated silently in my hand. Another update from my team.Cole had doubled down overnight. More leaks. More lies. He was painting Valentina as a des
Val's POVI stood there wrapped in nothing but a thin sheet, staring at the man who had just been inside me, and felt everything crumble. The luxurious penthouse that had felt like a dream minutes ago now felt like a golden prison. My legs were still weak. My body still hummed with the aftereffects of the most intense sex I had ever experienced. And Ivan West looked at me like I was already his to keep.“I can’t do this,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper. “I need air. I need to think.”“You’re not leaving.” Ivan’s tone left no room for argument. He pulled on his sweatpants but stayed shirtless, the scratches I’d left on his chest still visible. “Harrison Cole has people watching this building. If you walk out now, you’ll be walking straight into his trap.”I laughed bitterly. “So now I’m your prisoner?”“You’re my wife,” he corrected, stepping closer. “On paper and in every way that matters tonight.”The words sent a fresh wave of heat through me despite my anger. I hated my bo
Val's POV My heart stopped.Ivan was still buried deep inside me, his cock twitching with the last pulses of his orgasm, our mixed release slowly leaking down my thigh, and he wasn’t surprised. Not even a little. The cold voice on the phone kept talking, but I couldn’t hear the words anymore. All I could focus on was the lack of shock on Ivan’s face. The calculated calm in his eyes as he listened to Harrison Cole trying to destroy us.He finally pulled out of me slowly, making me gasp at the sudden emptiness. I scrambled backward on the massive bed, grabbing the nearest sheet and wrapping it around my naked body like a shield. My legs were still shaking. My pussy still throbbed from how hard he’d fucked me. And now this.“You knew,” I whispered, voice trembling with rage. “You fucking knew he was coming after us.”Ivan ended the call without a word and tossed the phone onto the nightstand. He stood there completely naked, tall, powerful, and utterly composed while I felt like I was f
Val’s POVThe private elevator opened straight into the penthouse and I stepped into pure luxury. Dark wood floors, massive windows glowing with the city lights, and furniture that screamed old money. My small suitcase looked pathetic next to all of it.Ivan was waiting in the open living area, wearing a black button-down with the top buttons undone. The second his eyes met mine, the temperature in the room seemed to rise.“Welcome to your new home, Valentina,” he said, voice smooth but edged with something darker.I swallowed. “Temporary arrangement. Don’t get comfortable with the idea.”He didn’t reply. He just watched me set my bag down, then slowly stalked closer. The air between us crackled. No contract talk. No logistics. Just raw, heavy tension that had been building since that Zoom call.“You’ve been wet for this since my office, haven’t you?” he murmured.“Fuck you,” I whispered, but my voice came out breathy.“That’s the plan.”He didn’t kiss me gently. He backed me against
Val's PoVI barely slept that night. After the Zoom call ended, I sat staring at my laptop screen for almost twenty minutes, heart still racing like I’d run a marathon. Ivan West. The name kept repeating in my head like a bad song I couldn’t turn off. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw his face, those sharp dark eyes recognizing me, that slow smirk when he talked about “figuring out what this thing between us is.”My body was a traitor. Even now, hours later, I could feel heat pooling low in my belly just from remembering his voice.“Get it together, Val,” I muttered to myself as I paced my tiny living room. “He left money on the nightstand like you were a whore. He’s everything you hate.”But he was also offering me a way out. For the baby. For Mama. For my future. The full contract arrived by email at 11:42 p.m.Forty-seven pages of legalese that made the NDA look like a children’s book. Val’s POVIt’s been two weeks of hell.I had no job, no money, no plans. Just endless applications, instant noodles, and the constant knot in my stomach that won’t go away. I’ve sent out thirty seven emails in the last seven days, begging for interviews, begging for anything. But its either i get g
