CHAPTER 49
After minutes of trying to answer herself Julia eventually gave up and put back the picture where she found it. She looked around one last time then made her way out but bumped into her worst nightmare just as she walked out. She stared at him in pure disgust, while he looked at her in utter shock. A minute passed with the two standing stationary by the corridor staring at each other but the staring contest was ended by Raymond clearing his throat. He stood next to Julia and rested his hand on her back as if to assure her to stay calm. She was calm she needed nobody to tell her that, she was as calm as she could ever be in the undisturbed presence of her enemy, and deep deep down she applauded herself for that

"This room is amazing! Look at this!" said the girl lifting up a flower vase as soon as Tinashe left"It is. Its amazing." she responded her eyes lingering anywhere and everywhere. It was a beautiful room, a medium sized book shelf stationed by one of the corners books neatly stacked. Her eyes found their way to his bedside where there was a picture of Helen then on the right side a picture of Raymond. His kids were indeed his life"Isn't sir Raymond so handsome? I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life just looking at him." said the girl lifting up the picture, "I wouldn't mind sir Joshua either, he is so beautiful!" she said snapping Julia back to reality"You know Joshua?" she asked clearly aghast. Raymond walked out of his room following the screaming and stood by the door stunned by the guards trying to kick the locked door open. Julia was the first person that came to his mind, and he immediately ran over just as the door was kicked to the floor. Raising his gaze, he met with an unfamiliar face, the clothing on her body being the only familiar thing to him. They were Julia's pyjamas. But why was she in Julia's pyjamas in fact, where was Julia?"******The rest of the girls ran into the house to witness whatever commotion was happening while Julia rolled the paper she had been reading and shoved it back into her skirts. She could feel the discomfort of having both the papers and the picture underneath her skirts but she wasn't letting any of them go, all she wanted was to get out of that place as soon as she can. She was beginning to realize the amount of danger she was slowly drowning into and to worsen the situation, she was completely unarmed. Ch

"So she is a thief too." scoffed Richard as the guards pulled her away. He picked up the broken frame and looked at it now left on his own. He closed the door and walked over to his seat, his eyes still set on the picture particularly at Helen. She was all he thought about, and she wasn't on her own in that cell but with his grandchild. And now Raymond on the other hand had witnessed a part of his brutality first hand after all the work he had put in to ensure his children never witness any of his dirty deeds. It had happened and there was no way to reverse it Raymond would have to get over it. But somehow it still got to him how he had failed his children. He felt like he had lost the bet his ego felt bruised. He was already getting sleepless nights because of Helen, the media creating all sorts of stories about his family and now Raymond was about to hate him for what he had witnessed. He felt as if his ex wife was right when she told him he can never be a good father to the child

Richard wore a black shirt, knee length pair of shorts and sandals walking into the room. Besides the three guards he walked in with, two more came in both carrying torches which immediately lit up the room. Julia looked at the six men staring her down and felt like she was going to collapse. She felt very hungry and was consequently losing her strength, but there was no way she was going down without a fight"Young lady, you came into the lion's den, all by yourself and now you are tied like a criminal in the dungeon awaiting your miserable death." he said stooping down to her level and staring at her cold eyes"Yes i did it. I bombed the place. But for me to kill a beautiful young woman like yourself will be completely uncalled for don't you think? But then again if i hadn't caught you who knows what you would have done?" Julia spit into his face further infuriating him. Ricky felt like he was in some car racing tournament moments after he told Joshua the truth. Joshua wanted to get home at that point, he couldn't just go to Richards house he was unarmed. All he wanted was to arm himself and then leave. But he still couldn't figure out why Julia would be in a dungeon in Richard's house."Did he find out about their relationship?" he asked himself but there was no true telling to that. Another possibility crept in, Julia was an assassin, so maybe Richard had been the target? But he immediately dismissed it, Julia wouldn't kill Raymond's father she loved him. Or so he thought. After struggling to come up with a possibility that makes sense Joshua and Ricky finally arrived home. He immediately got out of the car but was greeted by a sharp pain to his chest. Julia had subsequently grown numb from all the pain, her feet being something she wasn't sure she still had. She struggled to open her eyes, eyelids heavy and body threatening to pass out. She released a painful cough, her gaze sweeping around the area and she realize she could no longer see properly. Everything seemed blurry, and a voice had her turning to trace it"Boss, at this rate she might die. She is weak." one of the men said. Richard walked closer and examined her. Although her vision was blurred, she could see him looking closely into her scarred face, she wished he would kill her already, the pain being unbearable any longer. But before she died, she saw it as a chance to satisfy her curiosity. Why did this family possess a picture her mother possessed as well. Maybe she once worked for them they were a rich family, and her mother was a maid"The...that picture." she whispered just as she let out a dry cough, blood almost splattering on Richard

Julia felt like puking, and Raymond froze in place. As for Joshua, he was still trying to understand what in the world was happening at that point. Almost a whole minute passed with all four quiet, the revelations sinking in. It was then that the sent guard walked in with a singles mattress and a blanket. He went on to carefully place quivering Julia on it and covered her with the blanket, the four victims still wound up in their different thoughts"Whoaa wait wait what the hell did you just say to Julia?!" fumed Raymond forcing himself out of Joshua's grip and he similarly did not bother to shove him back. Joshua made a slight knock before entering Raymond's house a whole three months later. It had been one hell of a task for all of them to live through the trauma, and even harder to tell Helen since she was pregnant but Raymond did still, she had to know. Non of them had healed since then but they were trying "Hey." he said walking over to the bed where he sat with a pile of papers work subsequently being the only thing keeping him sane. "Hey come on in." he smiled carefully placing the papers away before going to join him on the couch. Joshua helped himself to the wine on the little table before him, pouring another glass for Raymond. Nothing was the same anymore, and that was the first time they were seeing each other since that dreaded day "I just wanted to check on you." said Joshua with a sip.
