A week later, Lucille had just finished her usual afternoon tasks and was heading to her room when she spotted Georgina approaching her. So, Georgina was still living in the house?

"Master calls for you," she said, her tone calm now, much softer than the harshness she usually displayed.

"Master?" The word annoyed Lucille. It reminded her of how low and powerless her wolf was. How less important her kind was in this world.

"Okay," Lucille replied, her voice steady, and followed Georgina to the sitting room where Edward was supposed to be.

The moment Lucille stepped into the room, her mood darkened. Edward wasn’t alone. Two people were there. People she could hardly stand.

Mabel Fletcher, the girl who humiliated her at that dreadful class party, and Mark Anderson, Edward's best friend, and her personal nightmare.

"You sent for me?" Lucille asked, her gaze cold and sharp as it fixed on Edward.

Mabel sneered. "She still has guts!" Her eyes burned with hostility as she looked Lucille up and down.

Lucille ignored her completely, her attention never wavering from Edward.

"You sent for me," she repeated, her voice even colder than before.

Mark raised an eyebrow, his gaze shifting to Edward. "What’s with her attitude?"

"Is that how she speaks to her master?" Mark's question was filled with disbelief, his stare still fixed on Edward.

Edward finally spoke, his voice firm. "You will prepare lunch in less than an hour."

"It’s not my duty to cook," Lucille snapped, her face showing no sign of fear or weakness.

Mabel and Mark were both taken aback. Shouldn’t she be apologizing or show repentance?

Edward’s eyes darkened with authority. "I’m your master. I can change the rules whenever I want."

Lucille’s gaze hardened, her words coming out like a challenge. "You’re not my master, Edward Jones!"

Her words hung in the air, a shock to everyone in the room. Edward’s fury flared as he stood abruptly, storming toward her.

"How dare you speak to me like that?" Edward barked, fury flashing in his eyes.

"I'm your..." he began, but Lucille cut him off sharply, stepping closer to him.

"What will you do?" she interrupted, her eyes unflinching, locking onto his.

A rush of memories hit him. That same look. The same fire in her eyes from the night she broke their mate bond.

The rage built up in him, deep and intense.

"How dare you get so close to me, you stinking thing!" he roared, his eyes hardening in anger.

Lucille met his fury with equal defiance. "And you want this filth to cook for you? Doesn’t that make you filth too?" she shot back, her voice steady and bold.

She already suspected why he had called her here. To humiliate her in front of their old classmates, to expose her helplessness. But if he thought it would be that easy, he was wrong. She wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction.

Fortunately, part of the servitude agreement worked in her favor.

"This filth is close to you, Edward! Push me away!" she dared him, a mocking smile curling on her lips.

She knew he wouldn’t physically assault her. The law would stop him, though he would always found ways to slip away.

Mabel couldn’t take it any longer. She shot up from the sofa, her anger boiling over. "Who does she think she is?" she muttered, disgust written all over her face.

"Servant!" Mabel spat, her voice dripping with hatred.

But Lucille didn’t even glance at her. Her gaze remained locked on Edward, unwavering.

"Just an Omega! Nothing else! So much pride!" Mabel hissed fiercely, but Lucille didn’t acknowledge her, her focus was entirely on Edward.

"You called me Edward Jones," Lucille said coolly, her tone making it clear that Mabel was nothing more than air to her.

Seeing she wasn’t getting a reaction, Mabel's fists clenched in fury.

"With your 5.0 GPA and first-class honors, you're just a mere servant, earning no pay and with no say," Mabel snapped, her voice carried sharp blades.

Lucille gave Edward a piercing glare, then finally took a step back, moving slowly toward Mabel, who was fuming with rage.

Since Mabel was so desperate for her attention, Lucille was more than happy to oblige.

Edward, unable to control his anger, clenched his fists tightly. He sank back onto the sofa, defeated by his own emotions.

Mark, who had been watching in stunned silence, was too shocked to respond. He had thought the servitude would humble Lucille, but instead, it seemed to have made her even fiercer.

He marveled at the transformation. During their four years at university, she had quietly endured every bit of mistreatment they threw at her, but now, after graduation, she had turned into a lioness.

Lucille stood before Mabel and repeated the words with biting mockery, "With my 5.0 GPA and first-class honors, I’m just a mere servant, earning no pay and with no say."

"Are you so stupid that you don't know why it is so?" Lucille's voice rang with sarcasm, her eyes flashing with contempt.

Mabel’s anger was almost suffocating. How dare she insult her like this?

"You called me stupid?" Mabel barked, her voice rising in fury.

Lucille shook her head with clear scorn. "Aside from the mud covering your face in the name of makeup, your brain is also covered in mud, that you can no longer think properly," she sneered, her words cutting deep.

Both Edward and Mark were completely shocked by her boldness.

"Perhaps it was a mistake to have called for her," Edward thought to himself, his irritation growing.

Lucille continued, her voice slow. "I asked if you are stupid, but because your head is empty, you can’t even tell the difference between a question and a statement." Each word she spoke seemed to cut deeper into Mabel’s skin.

"You!" Mabel stammered, pointing a trembling finger at Lucille as her body shook with rage.

Seeing her shake, Lucille felt a surge of satisfaction flow through her.

"I'm a mere servant despite my good grades because your kind will always oppress my kind," Lucille said, her eyes sweeping over all of them in disgust.

Then, she fixed her gaze back on Mabel. "But let's talk about you, Mabel Fletcher," she said with a cool, but piercing voice. "With your 2.52 GPA, what have you achieved?"

Without waiting for a reply, she returned to her previous position, now facing Edward again. "Did you say I should cook?" A smug grin spread across her face.

Edward’s fury boiled over, but he remained silent, his eyes glaring at her.

He had called her filth, and she had pointed out that cooking for him would make him filth too. He couldn’t take back his words now.

Seeing his silence, Lucille chuckled lightly. "Afraid of becoming filth?" she asked mockingly, a mischievous glint in her eyes.

Edward flinched, his mind spinning. How did she know exactly what he was thinking?

"You don’t have to worry. You’re already filthy," Lucille shrugged indifferently, her words like a slap to his face.

Edward parted his lips to speak, but no words came out.

Lucille smirked. "I’ve cleaned your bedroom, your pool, this sitting room, and all the places you touch most frequently," she winked mischievously at him.

The room fell silent. Mabel slowly made her way back to her seat, still struggling to process the insults Lucille had just thrown her way.

Edward rubbed his creased forehead, pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration. It was clear that Lucille wouldn’t be the only one suffering these five years. Her sharp tongue and unshakable confidence would make sure he suffered too.

"Can she just get out?" Mark finally snapped, unable to stand another moment in Lucille's presence. Her confidence was infuriating.

"Just get out!" Mark waved his hand dismissively.

"You have no right to order me, Mark Anderson!" Lucille’s voice was firm, her stance unshaken.

Mark quickly retreated into himself. He turned to Edward, silently hoping he would just dismiss her. He couldn’t bear the thought of letting an omega insult him like that, just as she had insulted Edward and Mabel.

"Go," Edward muttered quietly, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Am I still cooking?" Lucille asked, her tone dripping with mockery.

"Forget it," Edward waved his hand dismissively.

Lucille shrugged, turning on her heel and walking out of the room, leaving a heavy silence behind.

A victorious smile played on her lips. She had won this round, but she knew that her body, would bear the pain.

The moment Lucille Clinton walked into the party, provocative laughter erupted in the room, and all gazes fell on her. She might have felt proud if they were admiring her, but they weren’t. Their stares were full of mockery, not admiration. She stood still in the crowded hall, surrounded by classmates. But, though they were all students, she knew she didn’t belong there. The difference between them was clear. They were from rich, powerful families. The elite pack called the 'Executive Pack', while Lucille was from the lowest ranked pack, known as the 'Commoners'.If they had only whispered behind her back, maybe it wouldn’t have hurt so much. But they wanted her to hear them. They wanted to see her heart break.“Did she time-travel to the medieval age to steal that dress?” a girl shouted, followed by loud laughter.Lucille heard every word. Her hand tightened around her dress.“She looks like a clown. That dress is a disaster!” another voice mocked.“My maid wouldn’t even wear that a

She would leave with her head high; no one would see her suffering. She watched as Edward’s face twisted in agony from the broken mate bond. She wouldn’t leave right away, she needed to see him feel the torment, the same torment she was going through, a torment he couldn’t bear. Then, Edward collapsed, clutching his chest, the pain coursing through him.Without thinking, Lucille ran out of the hall and into the night. The pain tore at her, her face contorting, but she kept running. It hurt, but she was free. Free from her tormentors, free from Edward Jones, the mate who had only humiliated and shamed her.Eventually, the pain slowly began to ease. She sat up, leaning her back against the shop wall.

The car stopped all of a sudden, its headlights falling on her fragile body lying on the ground. Just as she tried to stand again, she saw a hand reaching out to her. Without thinking, she took it and tried to stand, but her legs were too weak, and she nearly fell again."Why would a young girl like you drink so much?" the man asked, his voice filled with disappointment.Drunk? Would she blame the man? How could she tell him she hadn’t drunk anything? How could she explain, when the smell of alcohol was all over her and she could barely stay on her feet?“I’m sorry… thank you,” she whispered, the only words she could manage. She watched him get back into the car, the same car that almost hit her, and drove away.Slowly, she limped to the bus shelter and sat down on a bench. Tears filled her eyes. She was hurting terribly, not just from the fall, but from everything that had happened that night. She wished she had never gone to that party. She wished she hadn’t listened to her mother.

Lucille stared at her mother, shock written all over her face."And who made that law? The goddess?" she asked, her voice low but trembling with frustration. Her mother paused, then slowly turned her head to look at her."The goddess gave us the main laws," she said softly. "But the authority created more rules based on them." She walked back to the bed where Lucille was still sitting."When we found out you were fated to him, I was happy. They're powerful, Lucy. Wealthy beyond imagination. I thought you were lucky. I thought your future was set. But now, you've destroyed everything." Her mother’s voice broke slightly. Then she turned and walked out, her shoulders heavy with disappointment.Lucille felt like she didn’t recognize her mother anymore. How could she say that? How could wealth matter more than peace? For years, her mother had seen the pain she endured. How Edward and her classmates treated her like she was nothing. He watched her in astonishment as the soft wind played with the ends of her dress. The sun touched her skin gently, making her glow. She looked stunning. Her hair was tied back neatly, her dress simple but graceful. There was something calm and strong about her, something that made his gaze locked on her.Was she the same girl he had ensured to break completely? She wasn't any where near breaking.Their eyes locked. She felt his deep stare, the confusion in it, the disbelief. It almost gave her a strange sense of power. Edward blinked. There was something about her gaze. Hatred exuded through her eyes. He could feel it, it grazed him fiercly. He could sense an air of pride radiating around her. There was no fear, no panic. She stared for a second, then turned her back and walked away, like he wasn't anything important.Something snapped inside him.He opened the car door and stepped out slowly, eyes still locked on the direction she’d taken. His chest tightened. His mind was a mess.

It had been three long, painful months since Lucille started living in Edward’s house as a servant. Every day felt like a battle. The work was exhausting, and whenever she couldn’t finish on time, the punishments followed without mercy. Sometimes, she didn’t even know how she was still coping. Her body had slowly adjusted to the suffering, but it had also paid the price. She was no longer the girl who walked into this house months ago.Her clothes hung off her body, far too loose for her now, thin frame. Her bones stuck out sharply under her skin, her cheeks were hollow, and her eyes had sunk deep into her face. She looked like a shadow of her old self. Her hands, knees, and elbows were covered in wounds. Some fresh, some trying to heal. The constant pain in her stomach had become a cruel companion. She knew it was from hunger. Most days, the kitchen forgot abou

Lucille and Ophelia stood silently in their wolf forms, the cool night breeze brushing their fur as they listened to the quiet footsteps approaching. The sound grew louder, and Ophelia’s ears twitched. Before Lucille could react, Ophelia turned and disappeared into the shadows, her paws silent against the ground.Lucille hesitated for a moment, her heart thudding in her chest. She looked down at her torn dress lying beside her. She couldn't shift back yet, not here, not where someone might see her naked. She picked up the dress with her mouth, gently dragging it along the ground as she trotted back to her room. Her legs ached, but she moved quickly, afraid of being seen. Once inside the room, she locked the door with shaky hands before letting the shift take her.Pain rippled through her body as her bones reshaped. Lucille hadn’t eaten all day, and no one came to ask her to clean again. Even though her heart was heavy, she somehow managed to sleep well. When she finally woke up, it was already dark outside. She stretched slowly and sat up in bed. That was when she heard a knock at the door. Were they watching her to know the exact moment she woke up?“Come in,” she said with a yawn. The door opened, and Ophelia walked in. Her face was just as cold as Lucille remembered. If it wasn’t for their short, kind moment earlier that day, Lucille might have taken her expression the wrong way. But now she understood. Ophelia wore that coldness like armor, something she needed to survive in this house.“He’s calling for you,” Ophelia said flatly.“He’s in the living room,” she added befor

This is mine, but I’m sharing it so you can have some," she explained, her eyes darting around nervously."Don’t tell anyone, or I’ll be severely punished," she added with a warning look."Thank you," Lucille whispered, trying to hold back her tears."I’m Ophelia, from the Downland pack, just like you," she quickly introduced herself.Lucille smiled faintly, understanding now why her wolf had reacted so strongly when the knock came. A servant had pointed to the room earlier, saying it belonged to Edward. Now Lucille stood in front of it, unsure how to go in.Her body swayed weakly. Her joints felt like they were cracking under her own weight. Every muscle in her body screamed. Her eyes burned with exhaustion. Her stomach twisted painfully. She could taste the hunger in her mouth. Since the little food she ate that morning before the long journey, nothing else had touched her lips. No one had offered. No one had asked. But once she cleaned this last room, she could finally rest. Maybe even find something to eat.She raised a weak hand and knocked softly on the door, but, there was no answer. She waited, then knocked again, this time a bit louder.A deep voice finally responded. “What is it?”She gripped the handle and slowly turned it.
