CHAPTER 30 - MISFORTUNE

"I have to stop them... this is truly a disaster."

Prince Alistair felt his heart pounding in his chest as he bolted out of the ornate dining hall, his footsteps resounding against the marble floors. He knew he had to catch up with his brothers, before they disappeared into the labyrinthine corridors of the castle. If they leave now, he might never be able to meet them again and this could cause the wreckage of the family they had been trying to build.

Breathless, he rounded a corner and caught sight of them just ahead, their cloaks billowing behind them like ethereal wings. "Wait! Brothers, please hold on!" he called out, his voice echoing through the empty hallways.

Prince Roderick glanced back, his face etched with anger and frustration. "Leave us, Alistair," he spat, his voice dripping with venom. "Go keep dining with the almighty, since that's the only thing you enjoy."

But Alistair was undeterred. He knew they needed to set things right with their brother. H
