CAUGHT OFF GUARD

The tea ceremony ended well and every guest was ushered to his and her room. From the corner of my eyes, I saw Sienna whispering at a servant.

I'll bet she was telling the servant how much she admired Nagisa and would like to see her privately.

I returned back to my room, certain for a fact things were going the way I wanted. After the servants left me behind, I quickly undressed and got back into my suit.

I reached for the shoji door and slide it shut.

I wasn't going to waste anymore time. Nagisa and knife were already waiting for us outside the chashitsu. I waited a little while, studying my wrist watch as the time went by.

Then I placed my ears on my door and listened attentively.

Now the guests room had a long passage that was rarely frequented by anyone. One each side of the passages was a room for a guest.
