THE TRUE TRAITOR

" I need a cigarette," I said, scowling out the window.

Umberto was seated beside me as the limo drove on. He brought out his own cigarette case and offered me but I rejected it.

I've learnt Israel never smoked any cigarette but the ones specially customised for him. His cigarettes were rich and smelt entirely different from many others.

It was special and costs loads and loads of money to make which was why he never offered anyone his cigarettes.

I was exhausted and needed sleep but more importantly, I needed to smoke. My nerves were fluttering.

" Well, I hope you're happy now," Pietro gnashed his teeth at me. He sat opposite me and his mean expression told me he was disappointed in me.

" You would if you'd just screwed a woman like Melinda," I returned.

Pietro's face burned. " Santa Maria, that's our brother's wife. If it were someone else, I'd have told you knock yourself out. But Mario? That's something different. Mario would never forgive you for what you've just don
