CHAPTER 2: TARA'S MEMORIES P1

Anna was brought to a beautiful place, it looked like a countryside. The place was green, full of trees and flowers , beautiful and peaceful, it was everything she ever wanted to escape to in her last life. <But where am I? Is this where my new life is supposed to start? What am I doing here? Ugh > Anna asked herself 

While looking around and groaning to her confusion, she saw a beautiful child who looked around 6 running and smiling. The girl had red hair and green eyes, she must be the girl when she was younger. So these are her memories, are these memories being shown to me so I can know how to live her life. Anna just assumed that as she was utterly confused

The little girl was running around chasing butterflies while smiling and giggling. She looked happy and full of life unlike how she saw her at the spirit realm, she looked awful there. « What did she go through » Anna asked herself when she saw a beautiful woman who had the same resemblance as the little girl.

“ Tara darling, ” a pretty woman ( Teresa ) called her the little girl who was busy playing with butterflies. 

“ Mama, mama looks pretty butterfly ” the little happy Tara exclaimed as she pointed out to the butterflies. 

“ Yes pretty like my baby, come here ” Teresa extended her arms for a hug and Tara run fast to hug her mommy.

“ Mama I love you,” Tara embraced her mother and kissed her cheek.

“ And Mama loves her baby so much ” Teresia kissed her back many times making Tara giggle so much.

They went inside to have food and Anna followed them, they looked happy. She remembered her mother back in her previous life. She was also happy before her mother died and left her with that horrible man. She watched them eat and talk lively and happily, the scene changed to a night and she saw Teresa singing a lullaby for Tara and the little girl fell asleep fast.

Anna felt like many years had passed inside the memories, and now Tara looked she about eleven years old. She looked pretty, she was certainly a very beautiful girl. Then she moved in another scene, there was Teresia with a man who looked like a king.

“ Listen to me, that girl is also my daughter and I have decided for the both of you to move to the castle immediately. I am the king and what I say is law ” King Gabriel scolded Teresia 

“ Why do you want us now, after all these years of abandoning us? ” Teresia questioned the King

“ I don't have to explain myself to you woman, tonight you and your daughter will move to the castle. Get ready ” King Gabriel ordered and left her there 

Anna was shocked at the revelation; so the King was Tara's father and he abandoned them for years but now suddenly wanted them. And he looked very dangerous and mean,… 

In another scene of the memories; Tara and her mother had already moved to the castle. They were not being treated well and were disrespected by everyone, Tara was no longer the happy little girl who was full of life. The king didn't care about them, they were abandoned in a tiny house behind the castle.

In another scene ; It looked like a dungeon and Anna saw Teresia chained and she looked awfully tortured. She looked starved and heavily beaten, Anna felt pity what can she do? And  she realised she can do nothing. While pitying Teresa, heavy footsteps were heard heading her way. Anna watched the evil King get in the dungeon 

“ Now tell me how to get those powers " King Gabriel roared 

Teresia looked at him with disdain and hate ” I don't have any powers and even if I had, I could never give it to you “

” You have powers, give it to me. I want to be the strongest King and your powers will help me, remember how you loved me. Come on Teresa give me those powers and I will make you the happiest woman, and our daughter will live well “ the King tried hard to coax Teresia 

” I said no, I don't have powers. And you have never been truthful, you're nothing but a liar. “ Teresa scolded with the few energy she had

” okay, then you have no help to me . You shall die, and I will keep your daughter live a miserable life and marry her off for my political gains. “ The king spoke again and drew out his sharp sword and without any emotion he  stabbed Teresa

Anna screamed but no sound was heard, she was horrified. This man was a monster, he wasn't even worthy of being a father nor a king. This man was not even human, he killed the mother of his daughter without even battling an eye. And what powers was he talking about, and his plans for Tara was sad.

In another scene ; Anna was in tears but she saw Tara in her room crying after hearing about her mother's death, and sadly enough Teresa was labelled as a traitor who had committed treason. Years passed by and now Tara was 18 years old, she looked miserable and sad. She looked pale and out of life, Anna felt sad . Tara was being mistreated by everyone in the castle, the children of the King and Queen were nothing but animals, they mistreated her so much .

Flora would slap her and make her do work that was intended for maids, they even made her work in the horse stables. The brother Mathew was even dangerous, he was obsessed with her and even wanted to assault her. He has been trying to make her his woman but Tara has been escaping him. Gaston too was worse, he mistreated her so much. The Queen starved her and even whipped her a lot.

Anna couldn't even stop crying after witnessing everything, the poor girl Tara has suffered a lot. Her life was turned upside down, she didn't have anyone, she was alone just like her but Tara suffered more than her. Poor girl, Anna watched Tara slowly drifting away to a quiet and lonely girl. She looked pale and out of life, she was sad and depressed
