Selena’s POVThe first thing that I heard was how the machine was beeping very softly. Slow and steady. And then the next thing to hit me was the smell of herbs. And something sharp too— disinfectant. Selena’s POVThe second day of training came too fast. I can swear that my body was still paining me from what we did yesterday. My legs were hurting. My arms felt as if they were wet noodles. And I could not even open my eyes. But still, I was awake before it was sunrise. Because the Beta had said that the training that we would do today would be “special”. “Special,” my foot.
