Selena’s POV

The first morning of the training came earlier than I thought it was going to. The air was so cold. And my heart was beating so loud that I could almost hear it inside my ears.

When I reached the training ground. The place was already full. Wolves were literally everywhere. They were all trying to warm up. Stretching. Jogging. Talking.

The whole place was just smelling like sweat. Pride. And dominance.

I held my jacket tighter around my body as I looked around the space.

I was looking for Nia.

She didn’t sleep in the dorm yesterday. She said she was going to be with her parents.

But it seemed like she was not here yet.

“Why is she here?” Someone whispered. But it was loud enough for me to hear it.

“She is the one to represent the fallen wolf right?” Another one said. Not even trying to keep their voice low like the other one.

“An omega trying to train with us? That’s funny. I would have backed out if I was the one.”

I swallowed very hard and tried to ignore them

Cullen’s POVSelena didn’t say who her grandma was. She said that she didn’t know. But she only used to see visions about her. I had told Luke not to bother her. That she would say it at her own time. Even if I hated him. He seemed kind of useful. The sun was starting to rise even after I left the infirmary. The morning air was so cold. And it was biting on my skin very softly. Selena had not eaten well since the hunt. She was still healing. Still too pale. People were saying so many things about what she had become but I did not care. I knew that she was special. And I was going to wait. I was going to make sure that she gets better and regain all her strength.I walked down the road very fast. I was going to buy fruits at the store. I heard that it would help Selena to get better after. Just when I was about to enter the store. Two guards stopped me. With the way they were dressed. I knew that they were from the alphas palace. “Cullen.” One of them called my name in a very sha

Selena’s POVThe first thing that I heard was how the machine was beeping very softly. Slow and steady. And then the next thing to hit me was the smell of herbs. And something sharp too— disinfectant. My eyelids felt very heavy. It was as if someone had used glue to keep them shut. My body was aching everywhere. When I was finally able to open my eyes. The white ceiling almost made me go blind. I blinked my eyes a few times until the light stopped hurting me. I was not in my room. And I was not in Cullen's room either. I was in the infirmary.A soft blanket was kept over my chest. And there was a bandage kept around my arm. The side of my ribs was hurting anytime that I tried to move. I groaned a little. And before I could even sit up well, somebody’s hand touched my shoulder. “Easy.” A voice said very softly. “You’re okay.” I turned my head to the person. Who else would it have been if it was not him— Cullen. His hair was messy. And there were dark circles under his eyes like

Selena’s POVThe second day of training came too fast. I can swear that my body was still paining me from what we did yesterday. My legs were hurting. My arms felt as if they were wet noodles. And I could not even open my eyes. But still, I was awake before it was sunrise. Because the Beta had said that the training that we would do today would be “special”. “Special,” my foot. Nothing good ever comes from that word. When I reached the field. The whole of the pack was already gathering there. Everyone looked as if they were half way asleep. But they still tried to look tough. The energy was not as it was the previous day. The air was thick with tension. Dominance. And pride. The stronger wolves were standing in front and they were showing their muscles off. While the weaker wolves and omegas like me were staying at the back. Trying to avoid trouble. Cullen made me stand beside him. His hair was still messy from sleep. and he looked damn too handsome for that kind of early hour.

  • A Chance With The Hockey Alpha Captain   Chapter 60

Selena’s POVI sat down at the far end of the training ground, my whole body aching. My legs were hurting so much. And I swear my shoes were the idea of the devil. I removed my shoes and my feet were sore. I was rubbing on them as I was breathing slowly. The others were already moving out of the space. Some of them were laughing. Some of them were chatting like they had not done anything to kill their bones. I did not say goodbye to anybody. That was when Luke came to me. He was walking to where I was sitting. His shirt was soaked with sweat. His hair was sticking on his forehead. And still, he tried to smile like it was nothing. “Hey.” He said. In a soft voice. Then he bent down in front of me. “How was your day warrior?” I gave a small laugh. “Don’t call me that. I almost died doing those runs.”He smiled, showing his cute dimples. “You did well. Really. I saw how you handled those balance drills. Even Beta Ross looked impressed.”“Impressed?” I snorted. “He almost killed me wi

Selena’s POVAva held me tight, her voice shaking. “Sel… are you okay?”I didn’t answer. I couldn’t.Everything around me felt far away. The sounds. The lights. The people. Everything just faded into a blur. My forehead was wet. Sweat was dripping down. But all my body felt very cold. Too cold. I could hear the way that the voices were sounding in the distance. The way the announcer continued to call out the names. He kept on calling the next set of people to the stage. I think they called Nia’s name too. Because I heard Ava say something like “Nia go!”. And then she turned back to face me. “Sel? Hey, Sel! Talk to me!” Ava said. Her voice was louder now. And it was full of panic. I tried to open my mouth and say something. But my lips would not move. My head was spinning very fast. And it was like I was falling even though I was still standing there. And then— I felt my body hit the hard floor. And the only thing I was hearing was how Ava was panicking. Before everything became
