Selena’s POVThe first thing that I heard was how the machine was beeping very softly. Slow and steady. And then the next thing to hit me was the smell of herbs. And something sharp too— disinfectant. My eyelids felt very heavy. It was as if someone had used glue to keep them shut. My body was aching everywhere. When I was finally able to open my eyes. The white ceiling almost made me go blind. Selena’s POVThe second day of training came too fast. I can swear that my body was still paining me from what we did yesterday. My legs were hurting. My arms felt as if they were wet noodles. And I could not even open my eyes. But still, I was awake before it was sunrise. Because the Beta had said that the training that we would do today would be “special”. “Special,” my foot. Nothing good ever comes from that word.When I reached the field. The whole of the pack was already gathering there. Everyone looked as if they were half way asleep. But they still tried to look tough. The energy was not as it was the previous day. The air was thick with tension. Dominance. And pride. The stronger wolves were standing in front and they were showing their muscles off. While the weaker wolves and omegas like me were staying at the back. Trying to avoid trouble. Cullen made me stand beside him. His hair was still messy from sleep. and he looked damn too handsome for that kind of early hour.
