5- Different Person

Looking up, she saw him standing beside her. "No."

He gritted his teeth and nodded, ready to walk away from her. Before she could go back to her magazine, he turned to face her.

"See you next time."

"Alright."

He was very strange. Storm never made sure to be back, nor did he ask if she wanted to talk or about what she wanted. "Do you need to talk to me?" she asked.

He tensed up, hesitating. "Nothing."

"Oh okay."

She looked down at the magazine and wasn't surprised to hear his distant footsteps. She walked to the window and watched him make his way to the garage. What's up with him? She waited until she was sure he was gone before finishing her coffee and locking the house.

She closes her eyes.

A sad sigh left her mouth hearing the sound of his car starting. With the size of the house, she could only ask herself why it was so hard to breathe now that Storm had left.

Suffocating!

Storm drops his phone and dashes across his office, staring out the glass walls. It had been a week since he had last seen his wife, and something was bothering him. He doesn't know what it is. Fingers running through his hair, he was caught by the gold ring on his finger. His wedding ring is for decoration.

Aira wears a diamond wedding ring, and he wonders if she ever had a moment like this. Consider the moment of their marriage or the lack of one. When he went to the house they shared, they had sex two to four times a month. He doesn't live there, can't live there. Aira never actually talked to him about anything.

Their marriage was the idea of his father and Aira's brother, who initially wanted her to marry his twin, Ezra. That won't happen. Ezra died in an accident. Aira was younger than him. He wants his woman to be as modest. No, he's not a saint, but he has standards and his wife will be the right one to raise the kids, not some slut.

Aira, or as he thought Maya, was not a slut. She is a beautiful, innocent, curvy woman who would make an amazing mother. One year, nothing. He's going to get checked in case something goes wrong with him. The doctor assured him that he was fine and that the pregnancy would take time. He didn't want to admit to the doctor that he only slept with his wife once a week or once a fortnight.

Storm didn't want to bring up the subject with Aira, and he wasn't in a rush to get her pregnant, but he wanted to make sure. His father wanted them to have a child together, a son to be precise. They believed that one child was enough for them to end their marriage. Storm has no intention of ending his marriage after touching Aira though.

He thought of himself as responsible for staining her.

He doesn't believe in divorce, especially when they already have kids, and maybe he and Aira can come to some sort of resolution in time. He pulled away from his thoughts and walked towards the main house. When he can't find Viane, his wonderful PA, and also his cousin, he sets out to find her.

Walking into the empty teaching room, just about to turn around, the people on the TV came into his eyes. Pausing, he blinked, and when that didn't make him go away, he reached for the remote and turned up his wife's voice. What the hell is Aira doing? He doesn't know why she's on TV.

Her brown hair coiled around her side, and her brown eyes smiled at the interviewer. She only wears a little makeup, but she never needs to wear much. "You have upcoming movies, TV shows, and now N*****x series," the interviewer said.

What the hell?!

"I know. It's really surreal," Aira answered.

"This upcoming film is the most anticipated, and pre-order tickets are through the roof. What inspired you to pursue acting and modeling?" the interviewer ask Aira again.

"Storm?" Viane said when she walked into the staff room.

"Tell me, Viane, do I need to call the doctor, or is my wife being interviewed right now?" Storm asked without taking his eyes off the TV screen.

"I have always loved modeling and acting. For as long as I can remember, I've been experimenting in the bathroom. I just started acting workshops and modeling workshops one night. Then my friend told me that I should film my performance and send it in as an acting audition, and before I knew what was going on, I had everything ready and I was asked to perform in person. My friends help me with everything. And then a lot of calls asking to make a different genre of movies."

"What makes you so natural in front of the camera, your performances so real?"

"Yes. Practice works. I make sure to memorize the script and put the right emotions on my face in the mirror. I always make sure I'm ready for there were a lot of surprises," Aira said.

It's like another universe.

"We all know you are the wife of the successful billionaire heir Storm Gomez. What does he think of your success?"

Storm watched Aira tense up.

"He's, uh, very supportive, as any husband is to his wife." Aira runs her fingers through her hair, looking away from the camera. "He's a busy man, and we don't interfere in each other's business."

The question continued, and Storm stormed out of the staff room. Viane followed behind him and closed the door of his office.

"Don't you know about your wife's success?"

"Success of what?" Storm asked. He didn't know that Aira could be a model or act. After much deliberation, he knew nothing about his wife.

"Aira has been making headlines since last year. The upcoming film, which premieres in two weeks, will be her first big project, and she already has two other films and a series to shoot," said Viane.

Storm paced back and forth in his office, trying to make sense of what he had just been told, and many more. "Do you know what she's up to?"
