Fourteen: Late Night Chat

A yawn slipped out of Ryan’s lips, as the figures on his computer screen began to blur before his eyes. It was getting late, and he was beginning to feel sleepy. For the past two hours, he’d been immersed in work in his home office, checking the record books of the company as there was an important issue with their finances that needed to be resolved. His manager had submitted the files to him in the afternoon.

He was still staring at the screen, trying to figure out the issue when another yawn slipped past his lips. At this point, he realized it was pointless to keep working when he was obviously on the verge of falling asleep. Thus, he shut down the computer and rose to his feet with his phone in his hands, heading towards his master’s bedroom.
