Ryan sat in his extravagantly furnished office, trying hard to focus on the documents he was reading through, but his mind kept on wandering to his last visit to Amelia, and Dora. He couldn’t get her backlash from his head, and as much as her words had hurt him, he had no right to be annoyed, not when he’d been the one to accuse her of being a terrible mom, out of pure jealousy.

how did he find out he had a child with Amelia? I'm confused about that situation. The way I'm reading it is that he knew she was pregnant, but he didn't, according to Amelia's side.

why did he not find Amelia earlier for divorce if the "love of his life" was pregnant with his child. hopefully th me book answers why otherwise plot hole.
