Chapter 14

Alice’s POV

So as I saw mum leave I turned around and go upstairs to my room, once I enter I ring the one person I know I can trust with everything my best friend Sophia.

She picked up on the third ring “Hey Babe how are you doing?, everything ok?”, she said.

“No not really, I think mums planning on the attack happening tonight after everything, you able to come over and be here for me?”, I asked her.

“Sure thing, I’ll be over in fifteen minutes”, Sophia said.

Fifteen minutes felt like a life time, all I could do was wait. I’m surprised I didn’t create a hole in the hallway from the way I was pacing up and down. Finally the bell rang, thank goodness, “what took you so long?”, I asked her.

“Parents”, was her response followed by a little laugh and a shake of the head.

“So what’s the plan?”, she said.

“We need to leave now to be able to catch up and we need to be vigilant at all times, I’ve got what I need in my bag by the front door, but we do need to hurry”, I said.
