Chapter 8 - New Student

The vice principal’s face darkened. “You claim to be Bella’s father . . . right?”

Allen nodded readily, ecstatic to finally get some attention from the university’s higher-ups.

“Then I shall say you failed being a good father,” the vice principal said with a blank face. 

The principal looked irritated as he silently watch the scene unfold, his eyes glaring a bit to the two unwelcome presence by the door.

“What do you mean?” Allen asked, completely at loss with the vice principal’s words.

 “How dare you say her grades were poor? Have you seen them?” the principal asked.

Allen, loss for words remained looking at him with a confused expression. His wife had told him how bad of a student Bella is. According to Hope, almost all of her subjects are failing and that she only gets to proceed on the next level with her help by bribing the small schools on the countryside.

“Seems like he didn’t even checked it himself,” the principal butted in with a cold voice. “If she has poor grades like what you’re claiming, I’m afraid the students from the IT department of our university are all a bunch of stupid idiots.”

Allen fell silent as a mixture of embarrassment and anxiousness filled him.

Did his wife lied to him?

“If you don’t have anything else to say, you’re now free to go.” The principal dismissed them without even glancing at him.

Without the effect and power of him being an alpha, Allen Richards could only leave the principal’s office with an ashen face, following behind him was Caitlin who had her small face all crouched up with irritation and envy.

“Daddy! How could they treat us like that?! And what’s up with their treatment with Bella? Did you pull some strings for her? Daddy! I want to enter a better department too!” she nagged.

Allen held his irritation inside, he used to find this attitude of Caitlin as cute before, but now that he just took a huge blow on his ego, she was everything but cute in his eyes!

Allen blew out an irritated sigh as he felt her pulling on the end of his sleeves in a petulant manner. 

Once upon a time, when she was like this she would always get what she wanted.

But this time was different. 

When her father turned around to face her, she instinctively stepped back in fright as she saw the almost glowing blue eyes of his father’s wolf. 

“Shut your mouth, Caitlin. You’re being an embarrassment once again.” Hr said in a rather low but angry voice as he eyed several people watching them because of how Caitlin clung to him.

Caitlin can only nod in fright before she followed him as he guided her to go to the business department.

Meanwhile, Bella went alone to the IT department after refusing the vigorous insisting of the principal and the vice principal to personally accompany her. She wanted to keep a low-profile this time, she wasn’t even aware that she was enrolled in this university, now she have to deal with those two fanatic rascals.

After introducing herself to one of the councilors in the department office, she was then led into one of the classroom with only several students inside.

She had long heard about the reputation of this department. Only a few people were able to get in, that’s why the population was a bit scarce but never the less, powerful.

The counselor knocked on the table, "Students, there is a new student coming today, everyone please welcome her warmly and get along well with her."

The rowdy classroom suddenly stilled as they all look at the door, surprised. They were all wondering how she was able to transfer into their department in the middle of school year. That was unprecedented.

But all of their contemptuous thoughts flew out of the window as soon as their eyes fell on Bella who walked inside with lazy steps. She was wearing a black sportswear, perfectly outlining her beautiful curves that only added to her overwhelming beauty.

“Crap, so beautiful!”

“My God! Never seen such a pretty face before!” 

Bella was indifferent with all of the compliments flying in the air. SHe stood beside the councilor who instructed her to introduce herself.

She faced the anticipating crowd before her and the corner of her lips lifted a bit. “The name’s Bella Richards.”

The whole classroom went still for a moment. No one’s talking nor making any kind of noise, afraid that they might miss something from her speech. But nothing came.

“That’s it?” one of the rowdy guys from the back asked, his tone laced with a bit of disappointment.

No one answered and Bella just silently stared at the people in front of her.

The councilor can only chuckle to break the ice.

“So pretty!”

“So cool!”

The crowd of students continued to cheer and rain her with compliments. She was sure they were aware that she was just a mere omega right at the moment she entered the door of this classroom, yet they welcomed her so warmly.

She can’t help but let the corner of her lips rise a bit as she silently watched them fangirling over her.

The counselor tried to stop their rowdy attitude but her sole voice only got drowned with the hungry questions and queries of interest and curiousness towards the new student. She can only look at the scene helplessly before turning to Bella, “Feel free to find a seat.”

Bella nodded casually and walked to the corner of the last row of seats.

Next to her seat was a doll-faced girl, staring at her with pure curiosity and admiration. When Bella turned to her side and caught her staring, the doll-faced girl blushed furiously. 

“Ahh, hi?” she greeted with her eyes running around shyly. “My name’s Suzie… Suzie Tan.”

Bella stared at her for awhile, making the poor girl fidget uncomfortably on her seat.

“Cutie,” Bella uttered in a low voice but enough for her to hear.

Susie’s eyes widened hearing that compliment from her.

Bella chuckled before pulling out something from her pocket. Suzie’s eyes followed her move and soon enough, a beautiful bracelet appeared on Bella’s hand with a very dazzling sapphire on it.

She placed them on top of Suzie’s table, confusing the latter.

“It’s a gift, nice meeting you, Suzie,” Bella said accompanied with her charming smile.
