Hephzibah's POV

“One date night per week. Public or private ,” he drew closer to me while he wrote it down. I moved an inch away to avoid any body contact with him. He moved closer again and continued writing.

“Rule 6: attend all social events together to cheer me up not your brother while I get more close to Kate!” he penned it down while I remained calm, admiring his handwriting. It was beautiful.

“My last rule: we're throwing a light party this evening…” he paused, his eyes gaze  at each other.

“What…” I let out harshly, adjusting my spectacles… he bent down, staring at me closely. “To celebrate my win and you are coming,” he dropped the pen.

I was speechless. He knew that my stepbrother would be there; the hottest guy on campus and this would cause an issue between us.

“wear on a short gown. Make it sexy, pink in colour.” He took his bag and walked through the exit door.

I was left alone, sitting on the bench not knowing what I got myself into. I had never been a party girl or gone to a house party. I hit my head in frustration on the wall, screaming so hard.

I took my bag and walked out of the pitch down to the school gate as the cab driver drove the car down the street.

“LANE 4,” I said quietly as I closed my eyes while the driver rode through the estate.

I opened the door and walked up to my room. Nobody was home yet, including Newton.

I kicked off my shoes angrily, lay down on the bed and began to write in my secret diary.

I might be a nerd girl oncampus, but in real life, I am the brain behind the ICEQUEEN; the story every students reads and waits for the next episode to satisfy their pleasure on campus with their lovers.

In that blog, it’s all about sex, lust, desire, and how to handle a prick in bed and satisfy a girl on bed. But the fact remains that I’m actually a virgin. That no one knows about.

My best sex fantasies on that page are what brought the story to life, and everyone commented with Newton’s name as the hottest guy they wanted to be with while the boys commented, Renda as the most curvy girl on campus.

I closed the book, remembering every detail that happened today and how sexy Zed looked in the locker room— the passionate first kiss I had  with him that gave me shivers all over my body.

I looked in the mirror and began to touch myself as I dreamt of him foreplaying with my body.

Then his last words rang in my head, “Remember to wear a sexy short gown; pink is my favorite.” I jumped off the thought of Zed Nate from my head.

I held the pillow close to my chest and screamed loudly into it.

“not part of the rules, so… I'll do what i want ” I said, walking into the bathroom to prepare for the home party.

……

I took a deep sigh after the cab driver dropped me off at Lane 48. I stood there, watching how other students walked inside the house. I couldn’t believe I actually agreed to come to this party. I took out my sunglasses and then I saw Zed Nate standing in front of the house.

“Wowww, you actually showed up, Miss Glass,” he said, walking toward me. I quickly adjusted my hair nicely.

“I knew you’d wear yellow,” he said, staring at me, dragging my hands toward the house.

I paused, looking at him, flaunting my beautiful gown for admiration. “I wore that color because you hate yellow,” I said.

He smiled, held my cheeks. “Sorry, that’s my favorite color.” I was dumbfounded at the moment. He hung his hands on my shoulders as we entered the party house.

Everyone looked in our direction as I tried so hard to put on a fake smile for the party show.

“Who’s that girl with Zed?” one of the students asked, looking at me as they couldn’t recognize me.

I had always been the spectacles girl on campus, but for this party, I had to remove them to look different from the ordinary.

“Bro, who’s that girl in yellow?” one of the hockey team players said, his eyes tracing my body.

Zed’s eyes were focused on me with a smile on his face. I looked up and saw Newton on the other side of the balcony.

My heart jumped while our eyes met. he knew I was the one and definitely annoyed that I was here with Zed.

I looked away, picking up a drink to calm the anxiety boiling inside.

“Wait, is that Hephizbah the Nerd girl? She looks like a different person without them,” Jason, asked, but Newton sighed and moved to the other side of the balcony.

“Why are they here together?”

Zed drew me closer, planting a kiss on my forehead. “You need to flirt in public with me as my girlfriend. Try and loosen up,” he whispered slowly. I felt so irritated by the kiss, but I smiled.

For the first time, everyone was staring at me, whispering about me all because I’m the new hockey winner’s girlfriend. Well, fake girlfriend.

I moved an inch away from him the moment my eyes met Newton’s.

“You don’t need to move an inch from me. You can flirt with me. I don’t bite,” he said, holding my waist.

“Newton is watching us. If you want to put on a convincing act, you’re gonna work with me,” he added.

I stared at Newton, so focused, then turned away. “I guess I have no choice. But to trust you,” I scoffed.

I grabbed his hand and planted a kiss on it, even though I hated it. “I think I’m starting to love this deal,” he said, squeezing his hand on my butt.

“Hey! Take your hand above and off my butt, you asshole,” I said, still wearing a fake smile while sipping the drink.

“That was part of the deal ” he responded shortly.

“Remind me to amend the contract on this” I said sharply, dropping the cup on the table.

The both of us went to the balcony, almost all the students were there, having fun in the swimming pool.

It was more than a party.

I walked past Newton. I felt guilt all over as we sat on the bench near the barcuque's stand. He was definitely with another girl this time, not Kate. I waved my head.

“Newton, you'd been stressed today. take this milkshake to calm your nerves," she said, giving him a bite of the pancake she has on her hands while he stares at me

I looked away, trying to focus on Zed, not Newton, but I was hurting inside.

Zed looked at me, began to unbutton his shirt. “Do you want me to put on a show?” he asked, my eyes still on Newton.

“You need to attend to your friends, Zed. I'm fine here” I said, grabbing another drink from the tray to quench my burning anger.

“Why are you so tense? Are you still lusting about him?” He looked at Newton.

I looked at him, feeling irritated. “Or wait, don’t tell me you don’t have self-control in you?,” he chuckled.

“I’d rather die than answer that question,” I replied sharply.

“Calm down, Miss Glass. I want to help you, but you gotta trust me,” he said, clutching his hands on my body, pushing my body silently on the bench and began to carcass my body in public.

He kissed my face, still touching my body. His hands were like magic. I felt every bit of tension and heat I’d once craved from Newton’s touch.

I could feel myself melting.

I had been wanting a muscular hand on my body for so long.

“Wait, what are you doing?” I asked when he planted a kiss on my navel, drawing attention in our direction.

Everyone echoed.

“Making your stepbrother insane while he watched," he said.

"Close your eyes," I obeyed to feel the heat inside, but then a hand pulled me away from the bench.

“What are you doing to my baby sister?” Newton asked angrily.

“Giving her a good treat — her smooth, her body needed it. I mean, she’s my girlfriend, so back off,” Zed responded.

“Oh wait, are you jealous that I love your stepsister? Or are you the one who has crazy fantasies over her, right?” he chuckled.

Newton pulling me away from the balcony. “We need to talk.”

But Zed grabbed my left hand too, and my arms was stretched between the two hottest hockey players.

“I am her boyfriend, and you are not going anywhere with this guy,”

Zed’s POVShe stood, her eyes unreadable. Still caught between disbelief. I waved a hand in front of her face.“Hello?”She blinked. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have judged you like that… about your job. I thought you were—” She paused, shook her head, and turned away to reposition the flower vase. I took a breath, her silence felt heavier in my chest. “When I said I was a worker here, I meant this shop.” I explained.“It’s my mother’s. My grandparents left it to her after my dad walked out and never came back.” Those words were heavier than I thought, swallowed hard, refusing to let the emotion weigh me down “She hasn’t been herself since. This shop is the only thing that keeps her tied to him.” I continued. “She can’t work anywhere else… health problems.”I paced around, wiped the dust on the counter. “So, yeah, I’ve been supporting myself all these years. We have workers, but they don’t come on Saturdays. I stay here till evening, then head to my night shift.”Her eyes were fixed on

You broke the glass water yourself and used it to stab Kate's neck," Newton yelled bitterly."I want you to apologize to her so it won't jeopardize the relationship between Kate's family," he continued. He tried to pull me away from Zed's arm, but Zed pushed him to the floor. "I won't allow you to do that. And she won't be apologizing," he fired back."What?" Newton screamed."Remember, this is my house, not your house. I want you to leave this minute and never interfere," Newton uttered sharply, but Zed stood watching."Zed, don't make it difficult for her," he pointed at him. My eyes gazed at Zed, pleading never to leave me here alone."Let me apologize on her behalf. And also help you to treat those wounds," he looked at Kate. She took a deep sigh, still

Chapter 11Hephizbah's POV"We just started dating a few days ago, and she's yet to be comfortable kissing me in public. She hasn't kissed anyone in her entire life," Zed said sharply while I remained calm."There's no way we can do that here or compete with those who have been in a relationship for a month," I replied, then backed off from the challenge."It's okay, Hephzibah. There's no need for you two to explain all that," Kate laughed. Newton glanced at her, who looked confused."It must be weird for you to share that intimacy with your boyfriend while your brother watches," she chuckled, and everyone turned their gaze toward Newton."Please, I’m her step-brother. I don't care who she meddles around with or sleeps with—she's not my blood sister," Newton said, his voice mean and sharp. His words hit deep into my chest. I had never admired him, not even in my dreams. It was a hard question to answer.“Hands, Newton… and how he handles the long brown hockey stick,” I finally said, bowing my head.“Oh yeah, I know I'm so perfect with my hands on that hockey stick.” Zed smiled from chin to chin.
