Fiona's pov

The dungeon door creaked open.

Kaelen walked back, his arm thrown across me as though he had been fixing my chains instead of stealing my breath. My chest heaved, my lips still raw from his kiss, but I forced myself still.

The guard shoved his head through the crack. His tone was impatient. “What’s taking so long?”

Kaelen’s voice turned sharp, steady as iron. “You dare question Wakanda’s son?”

The guard froze at once, eyes lowering. “No, sir. Forgive me.”

“Then leave,” Kaelen commanded, his voice filling the cell like fire.

The man hesitated, gave a stiff nod, and the door shut again. Keys scraped. Silence fell heavy.

Kaelen didn’t move at first. He stood there, listening until the steps faded. Then he turned to me. His chest was rising hard, his eyes burning in the low light. A low laugh broke from him, humorless and dangerous.

“That was close,” he said.

I glared at him, the weight of my chains pulling on my wrists as tears blurred my vision. “You enjoy this, don’t you? P

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Danger in the tunnel

Fiona's pov“Fiona...” “Don’t.” I cut him before he could shape the next word. His voice hurt more than too close to breaking something in me. I wasn’t ready to let break. He stood in the tunnel a few paces off, chest bare, streaked with blood, chains gone but wrists still marked deep red. The torchlight hadn’t followed us into this hole. Only his eyes lit the dark, wolf-fire glowing, sharp, restless.“I need to say it,” he pushed. His hand lifted then fell back to his side. “About Amaiya—”“Not here.” My nails dug into the wall behind me. “Not ever. Her name doesn’t belong in my mouth. Or yours.”The words stung me as much as him, but I held them steady. He stepped closer, the scrape of his boots on grit. His voice dropped low, almost a growl. “You don’t know what you saw.”“I know what I saw.”“I didn’t want her.” His chest rose and fell hard. His shoulders flexed as if he was bracing for a blow. “She came to me. I should’ve pushed her away, I didn’t. I was weak. But it meant nothi

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Never giving up on logan

Fiona's pov “Logan…”His name burned out of me. Chains on his wrists, blood on his face. He stared at me like he didn’t know me anymore.Kaelen’s fingers crushed my wrist, dragging me back. “Don’t touch him. He’s finished.”“Let me go!” I clawed at him.He bent to my ear. “I won’t let him take you again. You’re mine now. You felt it. You kissed me back.”“Stop.” My voice cracked. Shame slammed my ribs.Logan jerked at the chains, iron screaming. His voice hit like a blade. “Liar!”Kaelen smirked. “Ask her.”I couldn’t answer. My throat locked. The door slammed open. Power rolled in, heavy as stone. Father. Wakanda.“This ends tonight.” His voice filled the room. His eyes locked on Logan. “Whiteclaw’s line dies here.”“Father....”His power lashed. “Silence.”Kaelen stepped forward. “No, Father. You can’t kill him.”Wakanda froze, gaze slicing to him. “You protect him? Why?”Kaelen’s jaw clenched. “You cannot touch her.”“You speak as if she’s yours.”“She is.” The words fell like sto

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Banter words

Logan's pov“Step aside, boy.” I spat loud, torn from blood in my throat.Kaelen stood in the torchlight, smiling like a wolf too thin to eat. “If you rise again, she runs back to you. If you stay chained, she’s mine.”“She will never be yours.”“Won’t she?” He crouched low, voice thick. “She kissed me back, Logan.”The words split me open. Not the chains. Him.“Liar.”“Ask her.” His grin stretched cruel. “She didn’t push me away.”The stink of rust and damp clung to the stone, but under it—her scent. Fiona. Steps quick, uneven. She stumbled in, hair tangled, dress torn, eyes burning with tears.“Stop!” she cried. “Both of you!”She shoved Kaelen back, dropped to me. Her hands shook as they cupped my face. “Logan…”My chest cracked. My body screamed to pull her in, but Kaelen yanked her away.“She doesn’t belong here,” he snarled. “Father promised her to me.”“Father promised you nothing!” Fiona’s voice cut sharp. The cell door burst wide. Wakanda swept in, cloak whipping, fury rollin

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Kaelen's obsession

Fiona's pov“Search every corner!” Wakanda’s roar still rattled my bones. Guards scattered like wolves on scent, their blades clanging in the hall.Kaelen yanked me into the shadow of the broken cell, his hand iron on my arm. “We have to move before they pin it on us.”“They already have,” I hissed, ripping free. “He named me. I’m as good as dead.”His eyes flicked, wild. “Not if you’re with me.”I shoved him back, chains clattering from my wrists. “You don’t get it. Logan is out there. Hurt. Alone.”“Logan won’t make it,” he snapped. “Do you want to die chasing a ghost?”My hand struck his chest before I knew I’d moved. “He’s not a ghost. He’s my mate.”For a second, Kaelen’s eyes burned. Then they softened, lips twitching like he almost smiled. “And still you kissed me. Don’t forget.”Shame coiled hot in my chest. I turned away, but his voice followed, low, sharp.“If I can’t have you in light, I’ll have you in shadow.”Before I could answer, the ground trembled. A horn wailed from

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Vanished

Fiona's pov“They want Rowan,” a guard muttered on the other side of the bars. “Elders said the pack can’t wait. Logan is as good as dead.”I pressed my palm against the stone. My throat ached. Rowan. Always circling, waiting for the moment Logan faltered.Kaelen leaned against the wall, his arms folded, eyes burning into Logan. He didn’t see the blood or the chains biting his wrists. He saw me, trapped between my mate and the stepbrother I never asked for.Logan’s lips cracked as he tried to speak. “Fiona…” The word rasped out, broken, barely more than a breath.I slid to my knees beside him, brushing hair from his brow. “I’m here. Hold on. Please hold on.”His chest lifted shallow. His hand twitched, cold against mine. The bond flared faint, still alive, still pulling me to him even when he couldn’t lift his head. My eyes stung.Kaelen moved closer. His voice cut low. “He won’t rise again. Even if we unchained him, he’s finished.”I glared through my tears. “Don’t say that.”“It’s t

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Don't break the bond

Fiona's pov“Fiona.”The voice came through the metallic bars. I jolted upright from the cold stone, wrists aching from iron.Kaelen stood in the shadows, torch in hand. His hair was damp from night air, his jaw tight.“What are you doing here?” I whispered, throat raw.“Quiet.” His eyes flicked toward the door. “If they hear me, we’re finished.”He pulled a key from his tunic, slid it into the lock, and the chain fell with a heavy click. My heart slammed. “Why?”“Because you asked me once where Logan is,” Kaelen said. “I’ll show you.”He didn’t wait for an answer. He gripped my arm, strong but not cruel, and pulled me through the hall. The torches flickered against damp walls, the stones dripping with age.“Where are we going?” I muttered.“Lower.” His voice was tight, harsh. “Beneath where Father keeps his true secrets.”We descended twisting steps. The air grew colder, heavier. My chest tightened as the scent of blood brushed my nose.Kaelen stopped before a heavy iron gate. He pre
