Logan's pov

'Mate, my wolf growled inside. “Find her. Claim her.'

“I will,” I muttered, my jaw tight, claws sliding out as I ran. “But not if I die here.”

The tunnel walls blurred on either side, wet stone scraping my shoulders, dust rising with every step. Her scent burned through the dark like a trail of fire. Fiona. Close. My heart beat with hers, even though I couldn’t see her yet.

Two of Wakanda’s soldiers stepped into my path, spears leveled. I didn’t slow down. I hit the first hard, claws slashing through his armor, the spear shattering against my shoulder. He screamed once before his throat opened under my hand. The second swung at me; I caught the shaft, ripped it away, and slammed him into the wall so hard the stone cracked. Blood splashed across the floor.

“Mate,” my wolf urged again, louder now. “Closer.”

I dropped to all fours and ran, claws scraping sparks from the stone. The tunnels split and wound but the bond told me where to go. Fiona’s scent thickened, bright, elect

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   The ugly beast battle

Fiona's pov“Run,” I hissed, though my lungs burned, though the ground itself shook under the beast’s roar.Logan didn’t hesitate. His claws sparked stone as he met the thing head-on, body a blur of fury and wolf. The monster was a wall of shadow and muscle, eyes burning red. Its swipe sent him slamming into rock. I heard a cry tearing loose before I could stop it.I flung my hands forward. Light ripped from my palms, hotter than fire, brighter than the torches lining the cavern walls. It struck the beast square in the chest, searing its flesh. Smoke curled where my power landed. It reeled, bellowing. Logan rose again, blood glinting on his mouth, and leapt. His claws carved into its flank. Through the bond I felt him, rage need, that untamed hunger to shield me.The beast spun, caught him, and hurled him into the river. Cold panic crushed me. “Logan!”I lit the whole chamber in a burst so fierce the walls cracked. He surfaced, gasping, fighting the current. My bond pulled, demanding

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Chasing the hunt

Logan's povFiona’s scent haunted the air even when she wasn’t near.It clung to me like fire on my skin, deeper than breath, sharper than blood. I couldn’t stop tasting it, even with the chains gone, even as I dragged myself through Wakanda’s cursed grounds, waiting for her to find me.My wolf prowled restless in my chest, pacing, snarling. *Mate. Find her. Claim her.*But the ground kept shifting with Wakanda’s shadows, with the stench of his soldiers. And through it all, Amaiya’s poison lingered.I remembered her lips pressed where they never should have been, the trap she sprung, the lie she carried — the lie that I had given her a child. It burned me deeper than the chains had. Because I saw her smirk when Fiona’s eyes shattered, and I hated myself for letting her close enough to touch. Now she was gone from here, but not gone from the war.Amaiya was never still. Never silent. She would be weaving her poison somewhere else, twisting truth, tying knots. The air shifted — and my w

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Danger lurks in on us

Fiona's pov“Stay behind me.”Logan’s voice carried no softness now. It was all wolf, all command, rough and steady. His claws flexed against the dirt floor, his body already shifting further than I had ever seen while still half in human form. The tunnel trembled around us. Dust trickled down, pebbles rattled loose. The growl that had rumbled moments before returned, deeper, closer.I stepped forward anyway. “I’m not hiding.”His head snapped toward me. His eyes burned gold, his fangs sharp against his lips. “This isn’t a fight for you.”“It’s mine if it kills you,” I shot back. My palms flickered again, light faint but alive, responding to the surge of my wolf.He stared at me, torn between fury and awe, then cursed under his breath. “Stubborn woman.”The darkness ahead shifted. Something scraped the stone, slow but heavy, dragging weight we couldn’t see. My throat tightened. This wasn’t like the twisted wolves. This was bigger. Older. Alive with intent.Logan’s stance widened, his

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Danger in the tunnel

Fiona's pov“Fiona...” “Don’t.” I cut him before he could shape the next word. His voice hurt more than too close to breaking something in me. I wasn’t ready to let break. He stood in the tunnel a few paces off, chest bare, streaked with blood, chains gone but wrists still marked deep red. The torchlight hadn’t followed us into this hole. Only his eyes lit the dark, wolf-fire glowing, sharp, restless.“I need to say it,” he pushed. His hand lifted then fell back to his side. “About Amaiya—”“Not here.” My nails dug into the wall behind me. “Not ever. Her name doesn’t belong in my mouth. Or yours.”The words stung me as much as him, but I held them steady. He stepped closer, the scrape of his boots on grit. His voice dropped low, almost a growl. “You don’t know what you saw.”“I know what I saw.”“I didn’t want her.” His chest rose and fell hard. His shoulders flexed as if he was bracing for a blow. “She came to me. I should’ve pushed her away, I didn’t. I was weak. But it meant nothi

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Never giving up on logan

Fiona's pov “Logan…”His name burned out of me. Chains on his wrists, blood on his face. He stared at me like he didn’t know me anymore.Kaelen’s fingers crushed my wrist, dragging me back. “Don’t touch him. He’s finished.”“Let me go!” I clawed at him.He bent to my ear. “I won’t let him take you again. You’re mine now. You felt it. You kissed me back.”“Stop.” My voice cracked. Shame slammed my ribs.Logan jerked at the chains, iron screaming. His voice hit like a blade. “Liar!”Kaelen smirked. “Ask her.”I couldn’t answer. My throat locked. The door slammed open. Power rolled in, heavy as stone. Father. Wakanda.“This ends tonight.” His voice filled the room. His eyes locked on Logan. “Whiteclaw’s line dies here.”“Father....”His power lashed. “Silence.”Kaelen stepped forward. “No, Father. You can’t kill him.”Wakanda froze, gaze slicing to him. “You protect him? Why?”Kaelen’s jaw clenched. “You cannot touch her.”“You speak as if she’s yours.”“She is.” The words fell like sto
