LOGINRhett
He had trapped Jax into the deal with the lure of a sexy woman and the excitement of their sport.
He knew his brother better than he knew himself. Jaxon worried about his gambling problem, but never considered his own addiction. He loved females too much, and got them way too easily, so easy, it bored him.
There was never any competition, unless he was around. That’s when things changed for Jax, and became uncertain.
He had insecurities. Rhett could write a book on them.
Like most guys with their heavy wallets, they never knew if they caught women based on their wits, style, and looks or simply because of their ability to pay the bills. For rich men who owned it all, it was the little things that made them hungry.
One of the biggest things a millionaire asked in his head as a sexy beauty wrapped her mouth around his erection was if she did it because she craved him, or was she doing it for the money. Rhett never had to ask that question. The answer never changed. All women did it for the money. But the millionaire couldn’t swallow that honesty down, so he pretended it was about him as he closed his eyes and enjoyed himself.
He was not that gullible.
He was good-looking, sure, but when a female spotted him, she saw what he could provide. Rhett didn’t mind that. It just didn’t keep him exhilarated in going after them, so he discovered pleasures in other places.
When he wins, he would just use half of it on a good poker game. The rest he will save up so Jaxon doesn't get his panties in a bunch, run back, and tell their parents that he had some sort of gambling problem.
And he would win Mia. By this time, he recognized Jaxon's methods and finally figured out a way to counter them. He wrangled women with deception.
This time Rhett would trap them with the truth.
“What do you mean let the games begin?” Mia formed her lips into a smile. “What are we playing at tonight?"
“Nothing. There’s no game.” Jaxon lifted his menu.
“You’ve picked an excellent restaurant, Mia. Are you a foodie?”
She didn’t glance his way and seared him with her gaze. “What do you mean let the games begin?”
Damn her. He was starting to like her more and more. She was smart and assertive.
Rhett lifted his wine glass and gently twirled the amber rose liquid around the rim, making sure it never spilled, but simply shaded the glass with color. “I don’t know if I should tell you about my brother’s and my game. It may be unfair for one of us.”
“Hmmm.” Her smile never wavered or left. “Does your game involve me?”
“No.” Jaxon was a bundle of nerves across from him. He could’ve wagered a million that sweat would appear if the conversation continued on its present path.
Again, she didn’t turn to him. “Does your game involve me?”
“Yes.” Rhett held her gaze.
“Interesting.” She sipped from her glass of white wine. “Am I the prize or the means to get it?”
That question rattled him. He tip toed further in this verbal word play, making sure he formed each sentence well enough to not get trapped by her.
“You’re sort of both.”
“Both?” Her smile widened. “I would love to hear more about this.”
Rhett didn’t check Jaxon's face. He could already sense the angry glares coming from his way. If he could die from just a look, he would’ve been dead right there.
You never said we couldn’t tell the women, dear brother. Let’s see if you can win her if she knows the truth. Let’s put us both on equal footing this time.
“So should we order first or are you going to tell me all about this game that I’m soon to be a part of?” She opened up her menu and browsed over the entrees.
“How much do you want to know?” he smirked.
“As much as possible, without messing up either of your teams. There are teams right?” She glanced up over the top of her menu.
“Well, just us three are involved, but yeah. It’s sort of team Jaxon and team Rhett.”
She returned her attention back to the menu. “Are there team jerseys?”
He laughed. “No.”
“Cheerleaders?” She winked. “Maybe even mascots?”
He risked a glance at Jaxon. He was now chugging his wine down.
Oh yeah. He knocked him off his game for sure.
“No one else, but us three,” Rhett assured her.
Jaxon cleared his throat. “Let’s talk about this restaurant. You have divine taste, Mia. I mean you—”
“Nope. I want to talk about the game.” She closed the menu. “Plus, I know what entrée I’m going to order. Have you two picked?”
“You already know what you’re ordering?” He raised his brown eyebrows. “But you’ve just sat down.”
“I’ve been dreaming of eating at this place since I moved down here. They have three signature dishes. I’m choosing my most favorite.”
“Why not choose all three?”
“Because I’m only one person.”
“No. Order all three for the table,” he interrupted.
“Then we can do it family style and sample from them all.”
“Is that what you’re used to, sharing?” She centered those endearing eyes on him. Earlier on the beach, she claimed they were just gray. He knew the color. Even as she stared into her pupils, the irises changed, swirling into a light shade of blue and then darkening to green.
Rhett bet they broadcast her emotions like two mood rings, altering with each spurt of happiness or rage.
What color will they be when he thrust inside of her?
“Are you going to answer my question or just stare?” she asked.
“We don’t share women. We just compete for their attention,” he said.
“Maybe compete is too strong of a word.” Jaxon finished his whole glass.
“It’s not too strong of a word, if you both consider getting women, a game,” she countered. “Do you? Are women a game to you, Jaxon?”
Xavier Recognition and fear flashed in her eyes. “Very close, but that still is not your real name.”“That name died.”Her warm breath brushed against my lips. “Let’s bring it back to life.”“No.” I tried to twist away from her, but she just clamped me right there. The more I moved, the tighter her grip became until I couldn’t even turn or lift my arm.It was like fighting in a straightjacket made of steel. Good-smelling steel. Soft and sensual steel but hard and stubborn, just the same.It didn’t help that I was naked and her clothed. Our bodies warmed against each other. And there was no stretch in her. She was too well-trained for me to get out of it. I gave up after a few seconds and laughed. What would The Eight say to my being pinned down, butt-naked on the floor with a tiny woman over me?Hundun is done. She leaned her head to the side and studied me. “I like your laugh.”“What else do you like about me?”“A lot.”“My cock?”She widened her eyes and loosened her grip on me. XavierI jumped up from the bed. The sheets and pillows fell from me, falling onto the floor. She appeared caught off guard. Apparently, a fan of Catwoman had come to pay me a visit. She wore a mask and didn’t have her coat on this time. Just her simple superhero gear. That tight, black bodysuit left nothing to the imagination.Every curve was revealed as the dark fabric hugged her generous body. Skin tight. I almost wished she’d put a letter on her chest to give me a clue about her name. She had on black boots with thick heels at the end and silver hooks at the tips. Had I been a good man, I would’ve decided not to kill her. She was a sight of athletic beauty, yet all female. Every curve of muscle had feminine softness. She should’ve been on a pedestal somewhere being prayed to and fed grapes.Too bad you fucked with me.“Good morning.” I launched a sweeping kick and caught her in the midsection. “How do you like your coffee?”She groaned and crashed to the ground.“Or are you a te
XavierI woke up groggy in a strange bed. I blinked my hurt eyes and realized that I had no clothes on. Past events drifted in blurry images in and out of my mind like the hazy fog of a storm-riddled morning. Where am I?I lifted my head up off my pillow. My limbs were sore. It hurt to even move my neck. I felt like I’d just been in a battle for my life and I couldn’t remember why.Whatever happened, it can’t be that bad or I wouldn’t have woken up at all.The bedroom was full of gloom, except for a narrow slash of light which snuck through the gap between my curtains to fall right on my face. The rest of the space was dark. I couldn’t make out anything else.Even though I didn’t know where I was, I didn’t want to leave. The sheets and pillows comforted me. The scent of Jasmine drifted from the silk. The bed rocked from side to side on its own. I’m on a boat. I lay my head back on the pillow and stared at the shadows dancing on the ceiling.Who has me and where are we going?Cut-up
JaxMore thunder rumbled. The raindrops didn’t lessen their tribal beat. Wind whipped all over. I could see the trees violently wagging around outside. Shadows danced all around the room.I hovered above Mia as she lay on the bed.“What’s on your mind?” she whispered and tried to sit up.I tenderly pushed her back down. “Xavier was right.”Her eyes widened. “Excuse me?”I unbuttoned my jeans and took them off. My cock ached to be inside of her. It took no time to get out of my boxer briefs and back on the bed with her. “Jax? What are you talking about? What do you mean Xavier was right?”My cock pointed at her, ready to be enveloped within her wet flesh. “You’re always safer as my wife.”“Maybe.”“I’m not joking about marriage.”She sighed. “I know.”“I want this soon.”“How soon?”“Within the year.” “Can we at least get away from Xavier and make sure we’re safe first?”“Yes, and then wedding invitations.”She rolled her eyes. “Priorities.”“Says the woman naked and on the bed waitin
JaxHe put the key in, turned, and opened the door. Peeking in first, he made sure no one was in there and then he gestured for Mia to go in ahead of him, just in case someone had been following them.“Everything is going to be okay,” He said it more to himself than Mia as he pulled her toward him. “Thank you, Jax.” She leaned her head against his chest. “Thank you.”“For what?”“Everything.”“I think we should be thanking Nyx.”The door shut behind them. The storm raged outside. Inside they stood in each other’s arms, catching their breath. Wet from the rain, our shirts and jeans stuck to our bodies. The world seemed lighter on his shoulders. No Xavier. No game. No plotting or racing after her. They weren’t far enough from him, but he knew they would be. He knew that everything was almost over. He knew that this moment right here would be the beginning of more peaceful moments where a storm might rampage and their enemies might wait for their demise but if they held each other, t
Jax Was Mia okay? Maddening chaos had erupted. He held Nyx’s letter in his hand. The shots came right as he finished it. He’d been on the ground like she’d instructed, but his mind was all over the place. Outside his door sounded like a war of mass destruction. He’d never been a soldier, but he bet he had a good idea what one dealt with. There’d been explosions and gun shots. Men screamed. Bodies crashed into the ground. He’ll never be able to hear a firecracker again and not jump. Whistles rang. Nyx had said that she would whistle when she was fine. Each time something detonated, his heart stopped and he waited for the longest seconds of his life to hear the sweet sound of her whistle. Each time he heard her, he thanked the merciful God above them for getting Mia and him out of here. Nyx had enclosed a key with the letter that said room 69. An odd room number to pick in such a serious situation, but he had no critiques with her help. It could’ve been room 666 and h
JaxHe had to restrain himself while he pushed his cock inside of the latex. He would’ve paid any amount of money to Mia just to be inside of her without a condom, but he knew she wouldn’t go for it.He can’t buy this one. Maybe that’s why she’s got him so crazy. She strolled away, her lush ass wig
Mia “I’m not answering the question. It’s not even a fair one. Things just happened that way.”“You know why I won tonight?”“No.” Mia rolled her eyes.“Because I try not to let good opportunities pass me by. I just get this feeling and go with it. That’s how I won.” He tapped the stacks. “I get t
Mia Sitting next to Rhett as he played poker was an emotional roller coaster ride. He started off big and bold, betting it all in the first hand. She almost vomited right there at the table. All types of crazy thoughts ran through her head.Did he have enough money for them to go back home? Should
Mia She tried to kick him, but he grabbed her foot and sat up. “Mia, please just give me a second to explain how stupid I was.”She hopped until he finally let go of her foot. Right before he could get all the way up, she kicked him in the shin. He screamed out.“Asshole!” she marched away. “Ther
