Chapter 13: The Future

After quickly dismissing the group of guests’ downstairs, he rejoins me in my room and then says, “We have to talk.” Before walking over to the bed and taking a seat on the edge by me. 

“Do you want to go home?  Because if you do, I will arrange it tomorrow.  I know you have been here too long, and this is clearly not your scene.  But you must realize that this is hard for me, because I am so used to women who do anything for me.” He pauses for a split second while he stares out the window at something, then he continues, “It’s a bit strange for you though, isn’t it?” His voice trails off and all that is left in the room is silence.

Frowning, I feel bad, because he seems to be trying so hard.  He just doesn’t get it and never will.  I love him damn it, and this is too much.  I can’t change myself that much for someone I barely know, even if I do love him with all my heart. 

Shaking my head, I answer him quietly.  P
