Chapter 20: Sebastian

When two o’clock rolls around, I stand by the front door pacing.  How can I do this?  If I let her go now, I may never see her again.  But if I don’t follow through with my plans, I will never know if she really loves me or not. 

Shaking my head in frustration, I weigh my options very carefully.  Earlier, I had paused for a moment in weakness.  Only to have her come in the kitchen and wonder why I still hadn’t purchased the ticket. 

Honestly, it threw me off and then I found myself asking the very same question.  Why hadn’t I?  So, then I hurried out and bought it. 

This whole time, I knew there was something different about her, but is it that she really loves me?  Or is it the fact that she has pulled the wool over my eyes so expertly?  I admittedly have been playing a game with her, but now I find myself wondering if she is also doing the same with me?
