"Who are you?" my feet start to wobble as the guy standing in front of me started to come closer. What the hell! I want to scream. I have no idea who this man is, I can't even make out his face in this rain. All that stand out to me is that is in an all-black attire, black boots, black pants and black pants.

"How do you know my name?" my voice comes out as a scaredy cat, the shiver clearly evident in my tone. Not the best way to come across as strong, I am sure. But hey, the guy was a weirdo so you can't blame if I freak out.

"Oh, I know more than just your name." okay, this is officially getting more and more creepier by the second. Who is this man? What’s with him? Is he some kind of psycho? Or maybe stalker?

“Hahaha! Don’t try to scare me you creep. I am not afraid of you. Tell me who you are otherwise I am calling police” I try to sound as confident as I possibly can while threatening him. Weather continues to get worse, heavy rain pouring down, thunder sounds as clouds roar. It is even difficult to make out his make in this condition. The headlights of my car are blaring too bright at his and I can tell he has a very pale skin but expect that nothing as most of his face is covered by the hood of his coat.

“Me? Well, I am someone who can give you want you want.” What is a mind reader? Stupid! Does he really think I will fall for his bull-crap.

“OH YEAH, and what is that, that I want?” let’s see if he can get this one right. No way he will. He is just someone maniac who loves to bluff.

“Your mother.” I swear I choked when he said that. What about my mom? Does he know his condition? But how could he, it was impossible that he knows. I am shivering but now I don’t know anymore, if it’s because of the cold weather or it is because of this mysterious man whom I have met for the first time but he seems to know more about me than anyone else.

“What about my mom?” my voice tremble as I try not to scream and make a run for my life. I have never been this scared in my whole life. Like the you – give – me – goosebumps kind of scared.

“Oh Nothing, just now her time is coming to an end but you can’t let go. You will give away anything just to keep her around even if it will be for a little while. Isn’t it!” I can’t believe it. Is this bastard playing some kind of sick joke. Because I am so done with it. How dare he say this! Moreover, how the hell does he know all this?

“You, who are you! How do you know this?” my legs become wobbly as he starts to walk towards me. He takes a step forward and I take a step back until I have nowhere to go. I can’t go anywhere; I am trapped between him and my car. I am losing my shit but I can’t let him see that otherwise he will try to intimidate me even more.

“Who I am? It ain’t important. What’s important is that I can give that little time that you want with your mother. Don’t you want that?” he creases my cheek lightly and I can feel his cold fingertips. They are ice cold, it can’t be because of the rain, right?

“You can do that?” I can’t help but ask. I know it is a desperate measure, I am literally listening to a crazy man and what? I am willing to believe him! That is if he can do it. If he can make my mother live some more. Surely, maybe I am not in right mind either. For first I shouldn’t be listening to his crap anymore but here I am. Though let’s not forget the part that I am trapped and he is talking about something sheer important to me. Despite him giving me chills.

“Yes, I can.” He speaks with a glint of a smirk on his face as if what he is talk about.

“How?” I retort back, my mind not able to make sense of any of it.

“I have my ways…” he slurs with a full toothy smile and raises his head slowly; rain drops slipping down his hood and I literally scream at the sight. His eyes are complete black and I can bet my life on it that I can’t see pupil. Just his pitch-black eyeballs, there was nothing there except darkness.

My heartbeat quickens, I am screaming my lungs out. I cover my eyes in fear, my mind riling and my whole body is shaking and I feel like all oxygen has been knocked out of me. I start to chant prays, hoping that whatever it is, will go away. Suddenly, the hand that I was feeling on my cheek vanishes away. Maybe he is gone? Still trembling I take a look in front of me from the gaps between my hand. There is nothing. I completely remove my hands and see no one around. There is no one just me and my car in this damned weather.

What the hell!

What was that?

Was I hallucinating?

No, I am wide awake how I could have dreamt of all that when I am not even asleep. And when I look down, I see there was some powder on the ground which wasn’t there before indicating that my dream wasn’t really a dream. It at least assured me that I am not some crazy woman but fear crept into the pit of my stomach. Because if it was real? Then what was it? Mom? I need to check on her. He was talking about her. I need to see if she is alright.

“I can’t waste time.” I tell myself as I hurriedly start my car and zoom off to the hospital. She needs to be okay.
