"Why do we have to stay indoors while Queenie doesn't remember who she is?" Liam asked for the nth time since he was brought there.

He had tried to convince Jacobs Knight that Queenie needed their help but the man had remained adamant that the brewing situation would be resolved if they no longer tried to double cross Natasha.

Lucas, who has also been tied up to prevent him from leaving the room when no one was looking, spoke out. "Most times I wonder if you really bore Queenie with our mother or she's also adopted like that vile spawn, Natasha."

"Enough of the badmouthing against our sister!" Lucian cut him off furiously. Accusing eyes turned to him but that didn't deter his next words. "Natasha has always been out of her mind and distant with us because she thinks we do not care much about her."

"I actually don't." Lawrence mused from where he sat. He received a warning glare from Lucian.
