Drake

“You didn’t tell me why you’re here, Drake. I tried contacting you for years. But you changed your number. I visited your house often, but your grandpa refused to let me see you.” She sighed, but it didn’t melt me.

It was news to me. Grandpa never informed me about Lara’s visit. Was she lying?

“I’m here for my mom’s treatment. She has been admitted to the oncology department. So why did you want to contact me? There was nothing left between us. You ended everything the day you betrayed me.”

She shook her head vehemently. “I didn’t betray you, Drake. I was sucked in a conspiracy hatched by the most powerful Frederick Rochester, the owner of the Rochester Group of companies.”

I frowned at her claim. Was it another game to gain my sympathy? “Then why did you marry him? I saw your wedding live on television. You looked quite happy. So don’t expect me to believe your tale.”

She gave me a desperate look. “It isn’t a tale, Drake. It’s the truth. He stalked me for months, and the da

DaniellaI went into the jam-packed elevator, eager to meet Drake. He had been here since last night, and I brought him some grilled sandwiches. I was sure he had skipped dinner and breakfast last night. I kept on asking him, but met with vague answers.‘I’m not hungry!’He sounded lost, and I couldn’t gauge the reason. Had Aunt Sarah’s health deteriorated? I was apprehensive all night. I shouldn’t have left him alone. So I woke up early and made breakfast for him.The elevator doors opened, and I walked out, negotiating my way towards the oncology department. Aunt Sarah was in the premium room, and the guard allowed me inside after seeing my visitor's card.Aunt Sarah was still fast asleep, but where was Drake? Had he left? I placed the food on the side table and walked out in search of Drake.“He’s at the emergency department OT,” informed the friendly guard. I thanked her and headed towards the OT. What was he doing there? Maybe he had gone there to meet Aunt Sarah’s doctor.I walk

DrakeI watched Daniella as she walked down the aisle with Julia. Clad in the figure-hugging blue dress I bought for her, she looked se*y as hell. While all eyes were on the bride, I couldn’t take my eyes off the bridesmaid with cascading hair shining like spun gold. Daniella took my breath away. She affected me like no other, not even Lara. In fact, Lara’s charm felt insignificant compared to hers. Maybe what I felt for Lara was nothing but a crush. It crumbled when she betrayed me, but the hurt remained locked in my heart for years. It vanished only when I vented it out in my drunken state. I couldn’t wait to hold her in my arms again. The brief make-out session in the morning only aroused me more. It sparked a hunger that only she could satisfy. As if knowing the effect she was having on me, she gave me a smoldering look. It took my breath away. She stood by Julia, but her focus was totally on me. How would it feel if it were our wedding instead of Dominic and Julia’s? My throat

Daniella “I’ve never enjoyed so much before,” said Julia with a dreamy look on her face. “You deserve it, girl.” I stretched on the bed, ready to sleep. For the last few days, we had been going out to explore everything Santorini offered. With Drake and I sharing a love for adventure, nothing could stop us. While the others had backed out, Damien, Elena, Lucien, Leonardo, and Diego accompanied us everywhere. With the wedding scheduled for the next day, all afternoon and evening, we were busy with the rehearsal dinner and first dance practice. It turned into a grand pre-wedding party that stretched until midnight. It was super hectic, but fun.“I’m so sleepy! Goodnight, you two,” said Brynne, turning away to sleep. Julia wanted to spend the night with us, much to Dominic’s dissatisfaction. So we gathered in my room while Drake joined Dominic in his room. “What? You’re sleeping already!” said Julia. Maybe she was too agitated to sleep. “Yeah, tomorrow is your big day, girl. You can

DrakeAfter resting for a few hours, we went out to explore the Akrotiri archaeological site nearby. “It’s an ancient Minoan city preserved by volcanic ash.” I held Daniella’s hand as we navigated through an impressive network of buildings and rooms filled with earthenware. We could imagine how life was like in Akrotiri around 3000 B.C. The Minoan frescoes depicted vibrant scenes of their everyday lives and we absorbed all the information we could get. After two hours, we walked towards our shuttle van, glad to have experienced such a site of historical importance. We stopped at a cozy restaurant to grab a late lunch. Perched at the edge of the caldera, with panoramic views of the volcano and the Aegean Sea, the restaurant offered unique Greek and Mediterranean fare. Daniella loved their seafood, while I preferred the authentic Italian fare of spaghetti and meatballs. Mom and my grandpa opted out and returned to the resort afterwards, while we visited the Akrotiri Museum to gain in

Daniella“What? I knew it. You’re the one who has fallen for me.” I grinned, wrapping my arms around his neck. He blinked in confusion and then rolled his eyes at the slip of tongue. “Yes. I’ve fallen for you. It’s almost like a painful addiction I can’t control. So, now you can understand what’s on my mind 24/7.” My mouth hung open at his honest admission. I hadn’t expected him to be so vocal about it. I was addicted to him, too, but I couldn’t confess the way he had. “Oh! That’s bad!” I sympathized with him, although my heart wanted to dance with excitement. He rolled his eyes, noticing the mirth bubbling in my heart. “Yeah! So you’re the only one who can heal me. I need you so badly.” He dumped me on the bed and jumped in like a wild caveman. “Drake, it’ll break!” I shrieked at him. He covered my mouth with his hand. “Stop screaming dammit! Do you want people to barge in?” My eyes widened, and I shook my head. In my excitement, I had completely forgotten where we were. “Oops,
